Worth the journey through our bomb cyclone/atmospheric river storm! Once inside, the rain made the ambiance even cozier. We tried:- focaccia - a classic done well - scallop skewer - super delicate and tender, with the lightest crisp breading - apparently it's seared on a Korean grill!- pappardelle beef ragout (unfortunately no lamb version that day) - nice and savory and indulgent, but not a standout - ravioli carbonara - we thought the creaminess would be heavy but we were surprised by the lightness of the dish (with fluffy dollops of pecorino foam and a dusting of shaved cured egg yolk) - tiramisu - mostly cream (which I'm not one to complain about) Excited to have another cute cozy corner restaurant to add to the rotation!

We were very excited to try this place, challenging to get reservation. So surprised it's this popular in our city considering there'r so many fabulous restaurants here to choose from. Food was overpriced and very disappointing. Pasta was cold and tasted worst then stoffers. Single, lonely piece of salmon($52) came in the plate swimming in allegedly saffron sauce with few small pieces of broccoli that tasted like an old dish towel. I was shocked, really. I had one glass of wine($16), total for the meal was ($117)One great thing came out of the experience-my appreciation for any place in North Beach!

Literal perfect experience. My wife and I had a date night out from the kids and started the night at Amelie wine bar, after we realized that we needed a proper meal and not just bar bites we found and booked a table for two at Ciccino with less than a half hours notice. The staff was amazing and basically created a table for us since the restaurant was full up otherwise with a big party, and the head chef came out to chat with us about what to order. He and I geeked out about the Binchotan charcoal they use to cook with, and we went with his recommendations for food. The food was heaven expressed onto a dish. Please come here. This place is special.

My friend and I came here for our birthday dinner! The place was pretty full (you seem to have to make reservations), a bit small, and very cute + quaint in decor. The service was accommodating (we wanted to move to a separate table), and they came out with the dishes pretty fast. Even though our time stop was at 8pm, they ended up letting us still till past 9pm!We ordered the ravioli carbonara, pappardelle ragu (substitute with a duck ragu since they ran out of lamb), and a fennel salad. We also got the panna cotta at the end as well as a glass of Chianti wine each.I absolutely *highly* recommend both the pastas and salad we got. My only gripe is that I wish the portions were greater considering the price we were paying as well; regardless, the actual pasta consistency for both was perfection. I don't think I had a pasta this good in a while! The wine and dessert were overall O.K.

We came for dinner on a weeknight and were seated right away since we had reservations. The restaurant was fully packed for a weeknight but the servers were still extremely attentive. All the tables are fairly close together, for an intimate dining experience. We ordered aperol spritzes as cocktails and a caprese salad for our main. The caprese salad was delicious, with fresh tomatoes and delicious mozarella. The bread was also incredibly warm and soft. For mains we ordered the carbonara and risotto, and both were rich and hearty. A great meal for us!

We came to Ciccino at 6:30 on a Friday evening and were able to get seated immediately. We ordered three antipasti, the focaccia, scallop skewer, and lamb skewer. The focaccia was crispy and a great herb flavor. For the scallop skewer, I was just as impressed with the crispy breading on the outside while being nice and juicy on the inside, which was similar to the lamb skewer that was nice and tender. For our primi we ordered the Pappardelle Lamb Ragout and the Ravioli Carbonara. I was very impressed with the lamb ragout - the noodles were just right and the flavor was top notch. I did not like the ravioli carbonara as much. It was slightly on the salty side, but the pecorino foam was quite good.Overall I really enjoyed my dinner at Ciccino and would definitely consider coming back!

Went here because it was on this new booking platform Dorsia which lets you pre pay and reserve on their app.We got the focaccia and fritto misto appetizers but felt the focaccia was too expensive (2 pieces of bread for $4), but enjoyed the fritto misto though it was a bit salty. We then got 3 pastas to share - the lamb ragout pappardelle, passatelli, and ravioli carbonara. We enjoyed the pappardelle the most, the ravioli carbonara was interesting but not stellar and I liked the sauce of the passstelli. Portions were not the biggest as well.We of course had to end with a tiramisu and this I really enjoyed! We also got their aperol spritz as drinks too.Overall the food was good and a nice quiet ambience (not that many tables), but it was definitely on the pricier side for their portion sizes.

I made a reservation at Ciccino through the OpenTable app for a Friday evening. The process was smooth, and we were promptly seated upon arrival. Our journey began with a delightful selection of antipasti: the focaccia, scallop skewer, and lamb skewer.Focaccia: The focaccia impressed me with its crispy texture and robust herb flavor. Paired with quality olive oil, it set the tone for the meal.Scallop Skewer: The scallop skewer featured a crispy breading that encased juicy scallops. The balance of textures was spot-on, reminiscent of the equally tender lamb skewer.Lamb Skewer: Tender lamb sirloin and juicy! For our primi courses, we opted for the following:Pappardelle Lamb Ragout: This dish stole the show. The pappardelle pasta had the perfect al dente texture, and the lamb ragout was bursting with flavor. It's safe to say this was the best pappardelle I've ever tasted.Ravioli Carbonara (9 pieces): While the ravioli carbonara had potential, it fell slightly short. The saltiness was a tad overpowering, even though I appreciated the creamy filling of egg yolk and pecorino foam. The unassuming storefront had piqued our curiosity during previous walks by, and finally dining there was a treat. The attentive staff added to the overall positive experience. I'm already looking forward to returning and trying their duck breast!

A way overpriced restaurant for the quality ambience and service. A simple salad $24. Pastas which were decent but not worth $32-$40. Mains $50-$60. There are so many better Italian restaurants in the city for half the price. Don't know what the chef/owner is thinking. I give this place 6 months at most.
