This was my husband's find and I am so happy I was able to try their food while in SF! We tried a number of different Tacos - Quesabirria, Grilled Cactus, Carne Asada, Baja Rockfish - I could not decide which one was the best, everything was that good. The Micheladas were not only fancy looking but totally to die for!! All the food and drinks were served in Mexican terracotta clayware which made the experience a hundred times better. I would gladly come back here next time I am around.

A local recommended it to us and it was ... okay . We got the shrimp burrito , carne asada plate , carne asada fries , and carne asada quesadilla and again ... it was all , okay .The salsa was not hot - at all and that was a big con for me . Another thing was they didn't have taco combo plates which seemed odd to me .All in all - it was food , locals like it - so try it , I guess ?

Good food but skip the chicken.... the fish taco was really good tho other than that i think it's pretty average and the horchata is great good service but the place only had like 2 tables and 4 more seats at the bar

The Lower Nob Hill and Tenderloin area aren't parts of the city I generally associate with authentic show-stopping Mexican cuisine, but Chuy's Fiestas II absolutely breaks that mold. I would put the bold flavors and vast array of authentic dishes here on par with some of the best the Mission District has to offer, and that's saying a lot. There isn't much seating, only two tables and a couple of bar seats, so it's often better to grab to go than dine in, but if you can grab one of the coveted tables it's a nice very casual dine in as well. The standout at Chuy's without a doubt is their house made tortillas. Rough around the edges in the most perfect way, these tortillas add a soft and natural, pliable depth to any taco that you order. The different colors of masa and slight imperfections make each one unique and all the more delicious. They also specialize in making a crispy flat top burrito, which gives the traditionally soft burrito a bit more of a crunchy bite, and is quite tasty if your appetite is huge. I'm almost always a taco guy and the al pastor here isn't my favorite in the city but it's absolutely serviceable and delicious. I love having the option of both fried and grilled fish, as well as shrimp, for my taco-loving self, and can't recommend Chuy's enough if you're in the area in need of a real, no frills Mexican food fix.

I've been to Chuy's in the Mission and was hoping for this location to be similar...but the quality here was unfortunately terrible. I ordered a crispy flat top burrito, and it was completely burnt! Sadly, all I tasted was burnt tortilla. Several of the pieces of beef inside were also super tough and too chewy to consume. The burrito was also pretty small. I've seen some reviews raving about how big their burrito was, but mine was pretty small (~7.25inches). The tortilla chips were very stale. The salsas were bland, and the quesabirria was also bland. My partner ordered a super quesadilla, which looked better than my burrito.I will not order from this location again.

Ordered super burrito with Al pastor. The Al pastor is disgusting. It's super burnt and inedible, I had to pick it out of my burrito. My stomach was hurting within minute of eating. I don't know what's with all the great reviews but I would not recommend. How does a restaurant throw burnt meat into a burrito? Also there was pineapple in my burrito, I feel like they gave me scraps of someone else's food in my burrito.

Had a show at the Masonic and decided to get dinner nearby and I'm happy I did! Their tacos were AMAZING! One of the best tacos I've had in the city. It was taco Tuesday so some of the tacos were 2 for $7.25. I got carnitas and al pastor tacos for the taco Tuesday deal and also a cochinita pibil taco which wasn't part of the deal. All of them were amazing! The carnitas was so good and had delicious crispy bits. The al pastor was so flavorful. And the cochinita pibil was my favorite! All on handmade tortillas, it was delicious. It's a pretty small restaurant with two tables of 4 and a counter that seats 4. The prices are pretty affordable and the food is so good. It's worth a visit, just would recommend. Definitely will be coming back here to try more things on the menu!

This place was really cool and had a lot of neat options I've never seen before. The specialty tacos come with a lot on them and the tortilla falls apart easily. All in all, it's tasty but messy. Their micheladas are HUGE. Also, it randomly has a shrimp on the side which was absolutely delicious. I wish I had gotten a shrimp taco from them after trying it. You can get it with either Corona or Pacifico and we got one of each to try it. I loved the version with Corona and hated the one with Pacifico. I didn't really like my food but I could tell it's good quality so I'd come back to try other things. Overall, I enjoyed coming here and would return to get something with shrimp, and of course another michelada. Love- Camarones - Drink: Fiesta Michelada with CoronaOk: - Taco: Al Pastor- Taco: Vampiro - Taco: Volcano Disliked: - Drink: Fiesta Michelada with Pacifico- Taco: Carnitas

Mexican food is not my favorite. Tried tonight and OMG!!! Delicious. I ordered a Feista Vegetarian Burrito. I planned on just eating a few bites.... But... this Burrito is Delicious! I requested lite Black beans and everything as listed. Roasted bell pepper, onion, cheese, guacamole, sour cream... rice... perfectly made. Also ordered a strawberry drink. Absolutely no complaints... Deliciousness Service was attentive..This is a small place with a few tables. I chose to take home, but the seating is available. Complete meal eaten. Definitely will come back. Thank you, Sharine

Great food and great service. I came in early one night and was quickly greeted and seated by Jesus. There are several selections of food but I had the burrito. It was about 12 inches long and 3 inches in diameter. It was HUGE so great value for your dollar.Comes with chips and salsa (red or green)I'd recommend for authentic Mexican.
