We randomly went on a Tuesday night which happened to be all day happy hour! Ambiance: Nice, dim setting. Food:1. Sushi nuggies (HH $10) - delicious 2. Spicy crunch salmon (HH $5) - so good 3. Mentaiko Ikura Carbonara ($32) - pretty pricey for what it is and also not a huge portion, but it was really good! 4. Shishito peppers (HH $6) - also good! 5. Gizzards (HH $6) - not a huge fan of gizzards, but this was tasty. 6. Chicken thigh skewer (HH $6) - this was good! 7. Berry lychee spritzer ($15) - this was delicious. Favorite drink of the night. 8. Pineapple beer ($9) - this was great, but couldn't really taste the pineapple. 9. Miso trio hand roll (HH $5) - this was amazing. I'd definitely order this again. 10. Yuzu nigori glass (HH $5) - this was like a shot lol it was pretty strong 11. Strawberry nigori (HH $5) - this was good12. Free potato salad side per person Service: Great and accommodating. They'll let you have extra potato salad if they think there will be enough for the rest of the night.

I really enjoyed dinner here. The service was great and the spot is so cute but it's a very small space so it's not good for groups. The food came out so fast as well.My favorite thing were the hand rolls. I had the OM Bite hand roll and it was soo good. I would definitely order it again. My other favorite item we ordered was the Chu-Toro Sizzler. It was sooo good. It's a 5 piece fatty bluefin tuna sashimi, crispy rice with hot iron plate ponzu drizzle. We tried the Oxtail Omurice, I liked it a lot but it was a very large serving so it's good for 3 or more people not for 2 or less. We had the NYC "Big Mac", it's Nigiri w/ seared A5 wagyu, otoro, uni, black tobiko and truffle, $20 for each. It's a popular item but it wasn't my favorite and I don't think I would order it again. For dessert we tried the Hojicha Panna Cotta, and it wasn't set all the way so it was more like a soft pudding, I wouldn't order it again. I also had the Lychee Lasi, it was good but I didn't love it. I wouldn't order it again. Although I didn't love everything, I would still come back and order the things I did love and try more things on the menu.

I like the skewers a lot, I would come back for that. I got the Wagyu and salted egg skewer (didn't get a picture of the Wagyu) but they were both fantastic. The salted egg chicken was the best thing I had all night. The oxtail omurice was heavy on the ketchup/tomato flavor. The oxtail was very tender and the dish had a lot of flavor. Dish was very ehh in my opinion but if you want to try something new, try it out! As for the noodles, they were both very mid (mediocre) and is heavy on the mushroom (if you like mushrooms though you'll love them). Between the two I prefer the tofu one. One of the high notes of the night is the drinks. All of their cocktails are amazing, not a single miss. Service was good, our waitress was nice and came to check on us often. The restaurant though is very small so if you come with more than 4 people expect to wait quite a long time.

Came here for their happy hour and was pretty impressed. They have a very large happy hour menu. Although some discounts aren't really that significant individually, they add up in the end. We ordered too many things to list, I can say our favorites were the chicken thigh yakitori and the blistered shishitos. I also really liked the chicken cartilage yakatori, but I acknowledge it's not for everyone. The hand rolls are ok too. Pretty cool spot overall. Has a good vibe inside and all of the servers are friendly. Love that they had a high chair for our friends kid. Definitely come at least 15 minutes early if you want a shot at getting a table for happy hour.

I'm not sure if a restaurant ever wants to be considered "adorable" but I probably used the word about 10 times during our dinner here and I can't think of a better way to describe it.It's a relatively small restaurant near the Salvation Army drop off, in what used to be Wild Pepper). It makes terrific use of the space and is easily one of the best decorated and designed spots in town. Even if the food wasn't good, it would be worth going to appreciate the decor, which is quirky, colorful, and feels like you've somehow entered a fun Japanese gameshow. The place is surprisingly good for such a diverse and large menu. While I wouldn't say it is the best Ramen or sushi or yakitori, etc., in town, it does everything well. Nothing we ate, felt like an afterthought. There's a good happy hour menu as well, which I recommend taking advantage of. The only complaint I have is a small one, but the chashu (pork) in the Ramen was not very tender and a bit tough to get through. Otherwise, I enjoyed everything we sampled, from the potato salad to the sushi to the Ramen and some of the small dishes.Terrific service as well and very helpful with working around picky eaters. We will definitely return here and although they do pick up and DoorDash, I do recommend eating in for the full experience.

Came here on a Friday night with friends and there was a bit of a wait around 6:45 but we didn't have to wait long$260 for 4 people: 20% gratuity was automatically included because 4 people is considered a large party hereThis is what we ordered (not everything is pictured):- potato salad (complimentary appetizer/side that is soooo good)- dirty cauliflower (we had a veggie hater at our table who was pleasantly surprised and ended up loving it)- fried shrimp ball (one big ball with incisions for four pieces, very yummy)- 2 skewer combos (great way to sample different things but our table felt the chicken was the best)- oxtail omurice (a bit disappointed the egg didn't do the runny thing when we cut it open like traditional omurice, this was very rich and flavorful, presented very nicely but I'd get something different next time)- garlic chili tonkatsu ramen (they ran out of the pork belly and had to substitute it with more thin pieces of meat)Yes, was a bit on the pricier side but we enjoyed the ambience inside and the food was delicious. Personally I only enjoyed the skewers and I'd definitely come back to try their happy hour!

Definetly worth going to the Tuesday all day happy hour! Drinks are affordable and delicious, and lots of variety among small bites and appetizers. Interior is cozy Japanese inspired. My favorites were the handrolls and sushi nuggies. The nuggies were an interesting take on fried sushi rolls!

Wanted to come try the happy hour here with a friend! Came here on a Saturday around 5 and the restaurant quickly filled up after my friend and I arrived. The decor was so cute and colorful, both inside and out. The tables are very close together, so it's a bit loud. The earlier happy hour is only from 5:00 - 5:45 PM, so I would suggest ordering fast. There were many servers but only one was placing orders so people were constantly flagging her down. She made sure to go around to all the tables to get multiple rounds for people in before the time was up, which was very admirable.I got the Sashimi Sampler, the Salsa Hamachi Hand Roll, and the Yuzu Miso Trio Hand Roll. We got the Chashu, Chicken Thigh Yakitori skewers and Oysters to share. They give you complimentary potato salad as well, which was very tasty and had great texture (not too mushy) -- I loved that the potato skins were kept in.Sashimi Sampler: 4/5, the fish was very delicious and fresh. I particularly loved the scallop and the hamachi -- they were so juicy!Salsa Hamachi Hand Roll: 5/5, such a great balance of flavors! They are super generous with the fish, even in the small bite.Yuzu Miso Trio Hand Roll: 4/5, a lighter and sweeter hand roll. Very generous with the different types of fish. Because of the sweeter flavors in this one, it can be a bit stickier. Still delicious!Chashu: 3/5, tender while balancing the sweet marinade, though some parts were rather fatty. It was not particularly special.Chicken Thigh Yakitori Skewers: 3/5, well-marinated and tenderly cooked. Great flavors, just small.Oysters: 4/5, freshness is apparent and love the fish eggs and wasabi they include in each shell.I had a great time here with my friend. I think it was a bit overpriced for a happy hour, but the quality and flavors were great. A very fun place!
