We stopped by for the unlimited paella Sunday brunch. The paella is delicious! The seafood is so tender and the rice is incredibly delicious. Even the vegetarian paella is absolutely packed with vegetables, a rarity. The aioli and hot sauce are perfect accompaniments and complimented the paella well. Beware that the plates are actually quite filling, so you might not be able to have as many refills as expected. The ambiance is another selling point. The nice views, good background music, and good level of chatter makes it a perfect vibe for a sunny weekend. So fun, must try at least once!

I love rooftop bars and being able to take in the view of the city. It was awesome to be up there once we figured out how to get to Charmaine's that is. We went to the hotel first, not realizing there was a different entrance outside of the hotel for Charmaine's.My husband and I came here to pre-game before our steak dinner. We had reservations for 5:30 PM on a Thursday. There was only one other couple on the rooftop at that time who turned out to be friends we hadn't seen in 10 years because they moved out of the area. They were in town for the weekend to celebrate their anniversary. After getting re-acquainted, we asked the server to take our picture.Since we were having dinner elsewhere, we just had a few cocktails and shared bar bites. The Grilled Japanese Chicken Meatball and Pork Belly skewers were juicy with really good flavor. Both were light and accompanied our drinks well. The Proper Cup, Mr. Mistoffelees, and Mr. Bigglesworth were nice cocktails. At about 6:30, the place got busier. It's a great place to hang out with friends. There are firepits and cozy chairs. I would definitely come back.

Charmaine's aesthetically speaking is one of my favorite rooftop bars in the city. Just the beautiful interior and exterior decor got me impressed. In addition, the fact that the outside patio area is huge with multiple fire-pit, couches, and breathtaking skyline view of the city is a huge bonus. On the downside, the street parking is hard to get and the closest garage is a few blocks away. When you actually drive through the neighborhood it's really sketchy and unsafe. Due to a confusion with the server, I waited over 15 mins to place an order. I had to ask just to place an order, but from then, service improved throughout the dining experience. In terms of food, the roast eggplants with house-made pita chips was the highlight of the night. It was really tasty and delicious 10/10. The crispy fish tacos and fried potatoes were my second favorite. The fish tacos could have used a better sauce (green/red sauce) to enhance the flavors, but still good 8/10. Finally, the cocktails were made perfectly and the white wine was smooth. I definitely recommend everyone to check this place out 100%.

Cute rooftop with firepits and cozy chairs. Especially gorgeous during sunset! It has a nice view of the sf skyline. Food is mediocre. It's great for groups or a girls night!

We just happened upon this spot as we needed something close to the Orpheum for a quick pre show dinner. There's not a lot to choose from in that area but we would definitely go back to Charmaine's! We let the server know that we only had 45 min before showtime and he was so accommodating. We shared some sliders, garlic fries and spinach dip. Everything was tasty and good portion size. We also got two huge chocolate chip cookies to share. They were good but not worth the price....22 for both! This spot is not cheap but for quick tasty bites pre show it's a good option. There's great views and they were accommodating of our teens who are not 21. Would definitely go back and spend a bit more time with some drinks enjoying the views.

Unlimited paella with a beautiful view of SF -- what's not to like? Came here right at opening for their Sunday paella special, which you need to reserve and pay for in advance. We were seated inside in an area with a beautiful couch setup around a table, which was beautiful in theory but honestly was a little inconvenient to eat in. The paella was already cooking when we came in, so we went right for our first plates as soon as we got inside. The seafood paella is the largest portion being cooked, but there's also a smaller vegetable paella available. The chef was super friendly and always ready to serve a new plate quickly! There's some condiments (hot sauce, etc.) available for you to add.Overall, I like the paella. Not the most authentic but great flavors. I tried the vegetarian paella as well, but I think the flavors missed the mark for me as it was a little too plain. It was fun to sit there with friends and catch up with unlimited food and great views. The experience was a bit pricey and the drinks were expensive even by SF standards, so I might come back here only for special occasions. A great experience though!

We booked a reservation for the Sunday all-you-can-eat paella at Charmaine's, and while our arrival was a bit rocky--finding the area a little rough and waiting in the adjacent hotel lobby--the rooftop experience made it all worthwhile. We had to pay in advance with gratuity included. It was about $41 per person.Once we reached the rooftop, we were greeted with stunning views of the city, and the space was beautifully decorated. The setup for the paella was impressive, adding to the ambiance. The paella itself was delicious, featuring a nice selection of seafood, chicken, and a vegetable option. I particularly enjoyed the garlic sauce, although I wasn't a fan of it being served in a communal bowl, which felt a bit unappetizing with everyone using the same spoon. The drinks were on the pricier side, as expected for a rooftop venue, but they were enjoyable. Overall, despite some minors, the experience was great, and I would definitely recommend checking it out if you're visiting San Francisco!

Came here for the $30 ayce paella deal they have every Sunday and it was a great experience! The amount of seafood they put in the seafood paella was very generous, and the views/vibes were so nice. The service staff was also extremely nice and attentive and we had a great time dining here. Was really debating between giving it 4 or 5 stars, but ultimately decided to give it 4 cause my standard for a 5 star review means that I would definitely go back. While I had a good time here, not sure if I would visit again due to the price tag. The $30 paella was in reality ~$42 with sf mandate tax and required 20% tip. The drinks are also pretty expensive ($20 per cocktail). And while it was a nice experience, o don't think the price tag justified the food, given that there was just 1 type of non-vegetarian food to eat for ayce. Would recommend if you've never been though!

The vibes on the rooftop are top tier!! The service is also great but unless you're ordering from the happy hour menu, the drinks are quite pricey. The views are great and would be amazing at sunset. Can't wait to go back!!
