This is a staple in the SF food scene. It has been around for decades, and is as good as it has ever been. The ambience is "shabby chic", but the food is great and filling and reasonable. I enjoy it every time I go there.

Giving 1 star for the food, the place is great but the live music was SO LOUD. My party wanted to tip them to STOP playing it was so loud it was kind of painful on the ears and I had to cover my ears the whole time. Was here for Vday with a girlfriend and every table was literally screaming at each other! And this isn't the first time. Another time I went here for food and drinks me and friends weren't able to catch up since we weren't able to talk to each other at all the whole time because of the music. Literally just stared each other and ate our food lol. Both times have been so disappointing since the food and ambiance is actually really good..

If you're looking for a spot that is spacious with little to no wait, Cha Cha Cha is the place to go!Our server was so helpful as I was gathering all the orders. We got to try a little bit everything such as the calamari, bravas, and curry for dipping. Everything was quite delicious. I want to call out the service as she was excellent and patient as she gave us recommendations. Definitely check this place out for some light bites or a full-on meal with a crew!

Cute spot for after dinner drinks! It was clean and the bartender was nice. It wasn't too busy for a Thursday night so my friends and I were able to sit and yap for a bit. I'm gonna have to come back to try their food and experience the live music!

Sam Cooke said everybody loves to cha cha cha. OK, that was before even MY time, but I can at least go to Cha Cha Cha for a bite and a snack. Do you know what a snack is? That's dinner without the guilt. I suppose I could work off the calories by doing the cha cha cha. Yeah, probably not. However, I've been here a couple of times now because the huge horseshoe bar is quite inviting.I ordered my go-to $9 Tequila Sunrise, and it was pretty good (photo: https://yelp.to/Ku4lJpYPvh). A place called Cha Cha Cha has to make a good tequila sunrise after all. However, investing in the pricier $14 Mamacita was worthwhile because it had chipotle and pineapple-infused Jose Cuervo Gold, Jose Cuervo Blanco, lime juice, and a fresh strawberry purée (photo: https://yelp.to/FQbltbgWBd).It was kinda like a margarita but with a sweeter kick. They do offer a pretty robust set of bar bites highlighted by several house signatures familiar from the Haight location like Paella Mixta and Chicken Paillard. I was more conventional and ordered the $10 Cheese Quesadilla (photo: https://yelp.to/YsKR1d__Rg). It looked like every other quesadilla in the Mission, but with my Mamacita, it satisfied.COCKTAILS - 4 stars...the Mamacita was a nice house libation FOOD - 3.5 stars...should go for the signature dishes next timeAMBIANCE - 4.5 stars..,love the horseshoe barSERVICE - 4 stars...attentive enough when regulars haven't convergedTOTAL - 4 stars...does everybody love to cha cha cha?RELATED - Exploring the Mission? "Tapas" was a misnomer on the menu of Cha Cha Cha, as the dishes here weren't small plates for sharing but rather full-sized entrees! Needless to say, we unknowingly overordered, but the prices at least were reasonable. The House Salad was a colorful but not-particularly-fresh mixture of greens, red cabbage, cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, and roasted coconut flakes. The Ropa Vieja was juicy shredded beef braised with tomato, bell pepper, onion, and green olives, served with yellow Spanish rice and black beans; and the Cha3 Jerk Chicken were two thighs baked with a sauce of habanero peppers, raisins, garlic, and tomatoes, all served over white rice. While good for what it was, the chicken didn't have any actual jerk flavor or spice. The Paella Mixta was an abundant dish of Spanish rice with saffron, mixed with everything from chicken to mussels, shrimp, fish, calamari, scallops, and andouille sausage. But my favorite dish of all was their house signature Cajun Shrimp, a cast iron skillet of shrimp in a creamy and spicy Cajun sauce, which went perfectly with the basket of crusty sourdough bread on the side. Overall, this was a fantastic restaurant for Latin American flavors with generous portion sizes and great prices too!

My cousins kept talking about this place and we had dinner there tonight. I haven't been on Mission Street in a long time. We had reservations but got there early. We were quickly seated. It's a much bigger than I thought. It's a bit dark inside. It was hard to see the menu. Service was great. They came by multiple times to check on us. It was Happy Hour and we ordered several items. Um the white sangria is super yum. Wow. Never knew they had such a thing. The sauce of the cajun shrimp is absolutely delicious. I was dipping the fried yuka in it. The 3 pork tacos were quite good. So were the plantanos. The tater nachos with pork hit the spot too. Oh it was all good. It was an enjoyable dinner. I now know why my relatives rave about this place. Good eats for sure.

We used to come here 5, 6 times a year before they closed. Now that they have reopened and remodeled their food quality has gone down hill sadly say. The sangria was okay. Nothing is like before they closed another than their service, that is still great.$425 with service charge and extra tips for 16 dishes of small plate of food and 2 punchers of sangria is not worth it!!

Great music and vibes, excellent drink menu, and happy hour. The staff is super friendly and attentive, and I can see they were working very hard.My issue was the food. 1- i ordered the spinach empanada. It was lukewarm. The filling was ok, I guess, but it wasn't crispy or flaky. 2- The flavor of the jerk chicken was my favorite complex and satisfying. The pallela was my biggest concern, I am almost certain that chef Mike cooked my paella. It was scorching hott like it was nuked for 10 minutes before serving. Now the flavors were ok, but nothing compared to what you can get at another tapas place.I'm my opinion, Charge a few more bucks to make the paella to order and put on the menu a 30-45 min wait. Deep fry the empanada, don't be shy. it's an empanada! The next time I return will be for the vibes. good music, great service, and fantastic bartenders, I'll have my meals elsewhere.
