Amazing view at sunset and night. Great for dates. I recommend you reserve a table because it can be very crowded during baseball or basketball games. Food and drinks are Latin inspired and very good. The vibes is cabana style. Can't wait to come back soon.

On Thursday Night from 4-7PM we hosted a business event on the rooftop at Cavana. Let's first talk about what went right.1. The place is gorgeous; the rooftop views are insane. The weather was amazing on Thursday, our customers clearly enjoyed getting outside.2. Fabulous Latin music, clearly, they carry out the Latin theme.3. Attentive valet parking. Crazy expensive but definitely efficient.Decor gets an overall 5 stars.Service? 3 stars. Some of the bartenders and/or wait staff were wonderful. Some had attitude. I guess they figured out there would be a straight 20% tip adder. Hence making the extra effort would not earn them anything. The problem is I found a couple of their staff somewhat offensive. This being the case I would never return here under any circumstances.Food? 2 stars. I tasted a half dozen items. All of which I could get at Trader Joe's for a fraction of the price. The shrimp with cocktail sauce were popular. However, it was cold slightly overcooked shrimp with bottled cocktail sauce desperate for horseradish and/or something added. They also could not get out additional plates of shrimp fast enough. I included a picture of the shrimp. The grilled vegetables desperately needed a sauce. The grilled asparagus and zucchini were not bad; however, I needed to dip these veggies into tzatziki or something. There were mini empanadas which were 90% dough, 10% chicken filling. The tacos may have come from Taco Bell and/or Del Taco. The prosciutto and cheese were something I could pick up at Trader Joe's. They also had some variation of a potato knish. They were small, round, deep fried with toppings. I didn't understand it.Cocktails? I tried 2. NOPAL: LAS CALIFORNIAS NATIVO GIN, SWEET PEPPER, CACTUS LIQUEUR, BLANC VERMOUTH, TONIC What I got was a modified gin and tonic, a tad too sweet with flat Fever Tree tonic water. For $19. I'm glad business was covering this silliness. Also had some kind of mango Slurpee coming out of a machine. Not sure there was any alcohol in it. It tasted like something I would get from 7-Eleven with the addition of tajin on the rim.The house chardonnay clearly came from Trader Joe's.I love trying new restaurants and give every venue every benefit of the doubt. But hey? Why would I come back here? We spent about $200 a head for mediocre cocktails, poor service and bar food that may have come from Trader Joe's. If the staff were nicer, I would have given them another star. However, it's clear I won't be returning to Cavana.

My brother and I were looking for a nice rooftop bar in the Mission Bay area, and a quick Yelp search led us to this spot. We didn't have a reservation but decided to walk in and try our luck. Luckily, we managed to grab two seats at the bar! The ambiance here is fantastic - great views, with both indoor and outdoor seating. The bartenders were especially warm and friendly, which made the experience even better. I ordered the mango cocktail, and my brother went with the kiwi. We were in for a surprise! Both drinks were beautifully presented, making us even more excited to take that first sip. The mango cocktail was delicious- not too sweet, with just the right balance of mango flavor. It wasn't overpowering at all. But the real star? The kiwi drink. It was extraordinary! I've never had anything like it before, and I highly recommend it. The drinks here are strong! If you have a medium tolerance like me, one or two should be just right. Overall, this is a great place to enjoy well-crafted cocktails with stunning views. Would definitely come back!

What a nice Latino rooftop bar overlooking the city. It has both an inside and outside with heaters and blankets. If you don't have a reservation, it's just standing room only for drinks. I got the caipirinha since so few bars have this drink! Definitely my vibe and would get a reservation to try the food next time.

I have nothing but good things to say about Cavana. The food, the drinks, the service and the spectacular views... all amazing stuff! I really enjoyed all the small bites food::) Grilled broccolini - loved that charred flavor :) Deep fried sweet potato balls :) Deep fried mash potato with beef:( Beef skewers with chimichanga sauce (a wee bit tough to chew on):) Beef empanadas:( Fried pot sticker (a wee bit tough exterior) :) Deep fried shrimp - best bite of the night!:) Mash plantains with avocado whip:? Cold deli meats - waste of space... nothing interesting about it I can see why this is popular, PLUS, its centrally located for all the ball game crowds too! Great place for a drink and hang out. Loved it.

Love a good holiday themed bar! Stopped by Cavana for their rooftop views and was very happy to see they had a noche buena theme for december. The staff were very friendly from the moment we walked in and we had a great bartender. We all ordered the lady of guava-lupe drinks which were delicious. It was definitely on the pricier side, but worth the atmosphere. We enjoyed our time there and ended up taking pictures at their photo booth before heading out.

I love this rooftop bar! It feels like there aren't many places in this area where you can go and grab a drink and dance and see some views. I haven't tried the food here as I went around 10pm, so I'm not sure if the kitchen is open that late. Cocktaila are the big draw and they are really delicious. I haven't had a bad one or even a mediocre one yet. I would hope so because each drink is around $20.Every time I have come, the music has been blasting and it's actually busy. You always manage to find some standing room but people are starting to dance, lots of energy, and quick enough bar service that you can float around vibing. I haven't stayed late enough to see if a real dance party breaks out but it definitely feels like it would and could at any moment. Overall, this is my one go-to spot if I want to meet a friend for a nightcap or you don't want your evening to end. Go up the elevator by the hotel valet. The last bouncer had this deep gravely voice that made me feel like I was going to some fancy club.

First off, shoutout to Fernando for the impeccable service this past Sunday for brunch. He made great recommendations and had great conversation with us. I have been here twice in the past month and he helped us both times. He mentioned that Sunday they have salsa dancing starting at 5pm which I have to come back for and happy hour M-F 4-6pm.The ambiance is on point, I love it! This is the type of place you take people you want to impress and to have good food and drinks. The rooftop views are unmatched with views of the city and the port. The Photo Booth before you leave is a nice touch as well. The restaurant is inside the Luma hotel which you check in outside and they let you up on an elevator. We parked at the parking lot across the way and it was an easy short walkFood/drinks: -Tacos de Alambre 1000/5 Ribeye, pork belly, sweet peppers, Oaxaca cheese topped with an egg and arugula on a skillet. This is the main reason I came back the second time, I had to bring my husband and bless his belly. One of the best tacos I have ever had and I've had a lot. Can't beat the handmade tortillas either. The first time it came with an amazing salsa macha but not the second time and honestly it doesn't even need it. This dish is perfect the way it is. -Papas Sucias 5/5Crispy potatoes, chorizo, queso pimiento, and a fried egg. Also really good but a bit pricey imo for the size.-Carajillo drink 5/5Venezuelan rum, vanilla citrus liqueur, ancho demerara, chicory cold brewIf you like coffee and espresso martinis you will love this! We each had 2/3 rounds of it. I will be having this again next time.

Came here for brunch on a weekend and the decor, atmosphere, and service were top notch! Unfortunately the food was only average. But I'd love to come back to try their dinner menu. The tres leches french toast with peaches was a bit too plain. Perhaps I had expected the peaches to be more incorporated into the dish instead of simply laid on top, so the dish fell flat for me. However, my partner and I enjoyed the chilaquiles! Drinks were also yummy. Definitely would like to come back in the evening.

Cavana is located on the 17 floor of the Luma Hotel. This popular Latin American rooftop bar not only has stunning Latin decor and delicious cuisine, but it also has a breathtaking skyline view of the city. It is located right by Oracle Park (SF Giants Stadium), so it's difficult to find street parking. If you decide to go to Cavana, during a SF giants game at Oracle Park, expect to pay up to 100 dollars to park in any parking garage by the stadium. During none SF Giants game, you can use valet parking at Luma and pay between 40-50 bucks. Just an advice, you are better off taking public transportation or Uber/Lyft. Furthermore, host, server, and bartender were all friendly and attentive. They made this dining experience worth wild.In terms of food, I ordered birria tacos which was flavorful and delicious 10/10, and chicharron de pollo which was crispy, moist on the inside, and flavorful 10/10. The cocktails were very refreshing and tasty. Just the drinks itself was my favorite part of the whole dining experience 10/10. I highly recommend this rooftop bar.
