WORMS IN MEAT !!!! GUSANOS EN LA CARNE Don't buy anything here !!!! We spent $100 on meat only to find out that it was full of worms. We have gone several times to claim our money back and the only excuse is that the owner of the place is not there. The cashier is useless and does not want to help. We just want our money back and we will keep going back because it is not fair and it is disgusting.

Awesome little market! They have quite the selection of organic everything in such a little corner store. Plus, they carry my favourite chlorophyll aloe juice that is sometimes hard to find and really good coffee brands. Its perfect for picking up some organic meat without having to go to large store or butcher. Such a convenient location too - near a bunch of muni stops to grab stuff for dinner on the way home. The guy who works there is super nice. Pop in to check it out!

I went there on a recommendation as I was looking for something very specific. And to be completely honest I was getting this very specific item because I was being super lazy and didn't want to make it. I walk through the store and it has everything that you would ever need to make any type of Latin or Caribbean food. I then found the one item that I was looking for and then I went to go check out and they were extremely efficient and they were friendly. Looked like they were ha

This speaks specifically to one Peruvian item. Due to the current pandemic I've been taking Zoom cooking classes. Different cuisines. The most recent one is a Chifa Peruvian dish. Chifa has Chinese origins in Lima Peru. Ethnic Chinese that immigrated to Peru. When I was in Lima several years ago, the local tour guide said Chinese moms would shout out to their kids to come in to eat. In Cantonese Chifa translates to "eat rice". I needed aji Amarillo chili pepper paste. The cooking class suggested buying it on Amazon. But hey I live in San Francisco where there are many diverse ethnic groups. Sure enough I did a Google. It said Casa Lucas has a good variety of Latin American food products including Peruvian. I took a snapshot of the aji Amarillo chili pepper paste. Went into the grocery store. Showed them my snapshot. Bingo. Got my jar of aji for 50% less than Amazon price.

Danny the owner is great , never had a problem with him and he is always so helpful. But on the other hand all the women that work there are the rudest I've ever come across, not one woman greets you hello says how are you or thank you when you leave, they sit and talk and gossip at the register while customers are just standing there, staring at them waiting for them to finish their conversation. Then when you tell the women something they get defensive as if the customer is in the wrong for wanting service and to be recognized and greeted. They have been poorly trained on customer service. I always loved casa Lucas since I was a kid I've been shopping there. I love supporting local stores in my neighborhood and community instead of bigger stores. I spend hundreds of dollars a month there. This has happened not just once but more than 10 times and I have been going there since I was a little girl with my mother me and my mother both have given up on reaching out to the manager who hires poor staff, and I will never give them another dollar of mine again.

Been getting my groceries here for almost 25 years. I'll never change it whenever. I'm looking for something kind of rare. That's a Latino Product I find it the ambience here is so amazing. There's so many people of different cultures in there. The service is wonderful so much people go there that there's lines out the door. The food is great they have so much of a selection you'll never be disappointed I get my agua Fresca powder is there all kinds of flavors instead of using Kool-Aid it's more better than Kool-Aid. I don't get off fat and feel sluggish like I love their powder stuff for water.

Casa Lucas is a great option for produce near the 24th St Mission BART. 8 limes for a dollar. Good price on bananas. Lots of good produce to choose from.Where Casa Lucas Market falls short is that the Soy Milk was quite overpriced as was the hummus. Better to find these items elsewhere yet for picking up some produce & essential items Casa Lucas is a great option!

Oh man, a must go to for juicy, flavorful aromatic taco's or whatever fancies your taste. You're not going for the ambiance, you're going for the truly authentic grub...

This review is suppose to be for Evergreen Market on Mission street but yelp not allowing me to delete the review. So this is not a review for this establishment Lots of Latino cuisine ingredients that are hard to find all under one roof. Service was nice. However the outside neighborhood is one sketchy area. I went during the day and was greeted with vile smells and yelling by homeless people out in the street. Evergreen doesn't have any sway in that matter so you can't blame them. The location has gone downhill more and more over the decades that I've lived in San Francisco

Great produce and good variety of products. It's worth going the 3 miles to get there even though there's a bodega 3 blocks away from my house. I also found "mamey," a fruit that grows in Cuba where I am from. Glad to know that the fruit is now allowed in the US. They're the only ones that carry it.
