There is a reason we drive 35 mins out of our way and pay the toll to come to SSF.This carneceria is our favorite. In a pinch, the rice & beans are the best. The guys in the carneceria always make sure that the meat is cut / seasoned exactly like you ask. The salsas are all good too! There hasn't been a time where the little produce they have is fresh. Recommend the lomo de res, cut thin - the best.

Good place to get meat at reasonable prices. Not somewhere you can do all your grocery shopping. They do charge a 3.5% credit card fee and on top of that the meat counter has tip jars which is another turnoff.

Great place to get food for a good ol' BBQ! My fiancé introduced me to this place and we love going here to get meat when we are entertaining friends with a BBQ. Prices are affordable and you don't have to spend a fortune to feed a whole bunch of people! I think the chicken was a dollar and some change per pound when I came here 6/2022. We typically get a few pounds of chicken and beef. The chicken we ask to be prepared (preparada) for grilling which means they will cut the chicken for you in half so it's thinner making it easier to cook through and also marinade it for you which delicious! You can also get the meat prepared so they will put the marinade on it. We usually just flavor the meat ourselves. The chicken is soo good. I've recently gotten 5 pounds of chicken prepared and then divided it up in freezer zip lock bags for easy dinners. I've also tried the pastor they have which is sliced pork already marinaded because I wanted to make some tacos. They were alright, tasted porky to me. Still worked well for my tacos specially cooking it to a crisp. Mmm! They also have great mild or spicy chorizos here! You will also find a few produce items like cilantros, radishes, onions, jalapeños, to complete your meal. At check out, they have a small fridge that has pico de gallo, guacamoles, cremas to top things off. I never leave here without picking up some pico and guac. Maybe pick up extra guac if you're having a party! They have a parking lot right across the street which makes it convenient but it fills up really quickly specially on the nice weekends. Definitely a great place to go to when throwing a party, meal prepping, or for low priced meats!

The carniceria is small but has everything you need for your grilling and taco needs. The staff here was super friendly and worked quickly and efficiently. I ordered the carne asada (which I had them marinate on the spot, since it doesn't come pre-marinated), the pastor, and the pollo. I was thoroughly unimpressed with the chicken, but the asada and pastor were good. I like the pastor more than the asada, but that's just me. I also bought a bunch of produce including tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and limes. All of the produce was fresh and in good shape, except for the limes. They were really old and dried out on the inside. I think I'd prefer to get large pieces of meat so I can grill them on a bbq, but for something you cook on a plancha, these are great.

Tiny little market with good prices and helpful, friendly service. We stopped in to buy pork shoulder and ribs, plus a few vegetables (onion, tomatillo, serranos, nopales...) for a pork in salsa verde dish and we were pretty much able to get everything needed. The butcher cut the meat for us as well. Small but easy parking right across the street. We will for sure go back and try the pre-seasoned items as well, based on the other reviews.

Although this is a market, not a restaurant it's so worth it. Just go in & ask for the beef shoulder (1-2 lbs depending on your hunger) or any meat you prefer. Grab some Mission street taco-sized flour tortillas, red salsa, creama & whatever else your heart desires. Take the meat home & cook to your liking (Note: You can ask for the meat to be pre-seasoned). I fed a fam of 4 for less than $24 & everyone was full af.I just wished they had the option to cook it for you & more space to social distance. Other than that, good spot!

Great service! Amazing quality. I speak no Spanish but upon entering they found someone to help me immediately. Guacamole and molcajete salsa was extremely fresh and I also ordered pork, chicken, and steak for taco night with my family. Now I have found a new spot for all my taco needs! Wonderful place I will be back Tuesday!

Such a great place! My go to place for marinated chicken thighs and cuts of meat. The seasoning is sooo tasty and convenient for BBQin'. They even have their own seasoning packaged to take home. You can feel the family owned environment that the staff really is a part of.. Everyone is welcoming and friendly. If you haven't been there you are definitely missing out. Props to Carniceria Tapa, you will continously have my patronage
