Sweet, cozy little spot on Post. They only have 2 people working behind the counter so be patient. The bagel sandwich options all looked delicious and several were options I hadn't seen before. I ordered salmon bagel with cream cheese, tomato and cucumber. Salmon was super fresh. The bagel was light and sort of fluffy in a way - not the heavy dense kind that sits in your stomach. Perfect for a dense sandwich like I had. Staff is very friendly. Desserts looked amazing. The cafe didn't come up on a Google search of cafes around the hotel, even though it's within a block or so of two others that were mentioned. I just happened upon it. It's also the only one with bagel sandwiches, that I could find.

Cafe Encore is in the lobby of the Medico Dental building on Post st. The have Very nice pastries. The chocolate mousse was outstanding. Limited seating, mostly a quick breakfast, lunchtime pickup place.

This cafe is near the tour bus stop...I got a chocolate designed mousse cake for breakfast and a drink..hadn't seen this cafe on Post Street..hidden away with chairs and people..been here awhile. Tourists or locals..fun to try..

Located right off Union Square, this gem has a very Euro vibe. We stayed at a boutique hotel steps away and in 24 hours, carried out coffees and pastries. The breakfast sandwiches were delicious. No photos. The camera didn't eat this morning. Haha!Reasonable prices for San Francisco!

I was exploring the union square and was walking around the area. I decided to get something from this cafe and choose a Quiche. It tasted really good I had to make a review for this small Cafe. Also the staff were so nice and welcoming. With the chill music and clean place I would recommend it to anyone who is visiting the city this summer.

My co-worker and I stopped by to recharge on caffeine. This was a very small coffee shop and had limited seating. It's not ideal you come here if you have more than 2 people. The cappuccino was good.

Food would've been good if it wasn't raw. Raw fucking chicken. If it was just one piece i would've been okay with it. but it was more than half of the sandwich. one piece was just raw chicken not even cooked or charred just pure pink chicken. 18$for a sandwich i can't even eat. don't get the chiptole chicken sandwich

Woman who works there is rude as hell!!! NoManners or customer service at all! Is that how the owner wants their place run? This woman thinks she can talk to you however she wants. STAY AWAY! I'd rather eat anywhere but here. I called to place an order by phone and the woman told me she was alone and wasn't going toDo it and hung up on me then I called backAnd she ignored the call! Shitty! Lazy! Will never EVER go here. You would thinkDuring these times people would focus more on customer service.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience at Café Encore. I ordered two items but only received one. After waiting 15 minutes, I inquired about the second item and was told it was "on the way." Another 15 minutes passed, and when I asked again, the owner rudely insisted I had only been charged for one item and that she hadn't made the second. The problem? I was seated just five feet away from her the entire time, and she never acknowledged her mistake or informed me. Instead, she blamed me, claiming I hadn't ordered the sandwich--even after I'd waited 30 minutes for nothing. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer service from the owner herself was unacceptable. I won't be returning.

Got the hazelnut latte, and I didn't taste any hazelnut nor coffee taste at all. Halfway through my coffee, I decided to take a peek, and the color of the coffee was really light as opposed to the natural tan color of coffee. A bit hard to tell from the photo. The place was conveniently located near the Union Square, so that part was nice.
