If you just saw the name of this place, you probably wouldn't have guessed that it was a cute little Brazilian Cafe with amazing service and food options. Well actually, if you called your restaurant cafe of home, it makes sense as to why everything just felt cozy and of high quality. And that's what the owners were aiming for! Right from the start it was just a beautiful place to chill, and the staff was so friendly giving their suggestions and making sure that we were taken care of!We had to share some items due to the options that were there. The coconut pastry was like a coconut bread, and oh boy was it yummy. Not too sweet but just enough. The vegetable empanada tasted good, not too crazy in flavor but fresh in the vegetable taste. And we got their fries which were thin and crispy, just the way I like them. But here is the kicker. Their hot sauce. Was. Spicy. And. Amazing!!!! It can definitely kick you in the butt if you aren't careful, but oh boy was it good and paired well with almost anything. Had a sourness to it like Cholula but depth like Sriracha and their own goodness. Finally don't forget about the Acai Bowl, which was a solid bowl. It wasn't too sweet and looked beautiful, but nothing out of the world.I would highly recommend checking this place out and seeing if you would call this place home as well! Everything is on the pricier end, but a solid option in the fisherman's wharf area. Their hot sauce keeps me thinking about this place on loop

A delicious little spot nestled amongst the hustle and bustle of Fisherman's Wharf. I came here twice during my short stay in San Francisco, it was simply that delicious. The staff were kind and the service was quick, 10/10, do recommend!

Watch the slippery entrance. Enjoyed meeting friends for brunch in this Brazilian cafe. Each baked good was said to be gluten free. The tapioca crepioca pancakes were tasty and chewy. The first morning we had the Brigadeiro coffee, mocha, ham and cheese crepioca. The next morning, we had the veggie omelette and doce de leite coffee. Issues on both days: 1 The Cafe de Casa sign on the floor at the entrance was wet and very slippery. Since it often rains here, it is important to choose a surface that is not slippery. 2 An employee was sorting washed cutlery and throwing it into trays for about thirty minutes. Best done quickly and quietly, or in the kitchen away from customers

Delicious local restaurant with lots of options that you may have never tried before if you're not familiar with Brazilian cuisine. The atmosphere was lively. Family friendly. Pastel aesthetically, pleasing colors around the place. My only complaints about the atmosphere was how hard it was for me to find a comfortable spot to sit with who I was eating lunch with. I would've liked for a little bit more privacy. Or just more options where I could sit period. The second thing is how long it took for my food to come out. Of course it was delicious and maybe it was because what my friend ordered was so extra extravagant compared to what I ordered just a little sandwich. I felt like it took way too long for this little sandwich to come out. I was really impressed by the menu, the presentation of it all was wonderful. Super good vibes in there a lot of people speaking in Portuguese, which is definitely a good sign when you're out of Brazilian restaurant, but to me it was just hitting a few marks. Maybe if you're local you have a better experience

Great spot for coffee and pastries when around the town. Beautiful decorated interior, airy, bright, and buzzy too. The Mane Pelado, a yuka cake with coconut, was good to fill in for an afternoon tea while the Iced Doce De Leite , a house specialty cappuccino with doce de lette, was nice and sweet.

A Delicious Bite of BrazilLast week, good friends of ours mentioned Café de Casa as a good addition to the neighborhood. So, we got curious and decided to go and check it out. When we got there, only two people were ahead of us, so we did not have to wait long. While in line, we checked out all the enticing items on display. However, since our visit was during breakfast, we only tried a few breakfast items. The space is fairly large, and it is well-designed and comfortable. The line goes past a big menu on the wall and by the counter and displays, which will make you hungry and drooling by the time you reach where you place your order. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The young man who patiently helped us answered our questions and made good suggestions. We ordered coffee drinks: an Abraçadinho de Salsicha, bread dough stuffed with turkey sausage, bacon, and cheese, and a Mané Pelado (yuca cake with coconut). They gave us a tabletop number for our order, and after we sat, I noticed that we could order additional items by scanning the QR code on it and have our order delivered without having to stand in line again! Nice touch, I thought. The coffee was fabulous, and Abraçadinho de Salsicha and Mané Pelad were delicious. I am not a big fan of cakes, but this yuka and coconut cake was very good. While we were sipping our coffees, the line grew very long, and it made me glad we got there early, so keep that in mind if you are visiting. After we got home, I researched the restaurant and its founders. Café de Casa is a family-owned restaurant with three locations in the San Francisco Bay Area. It was started in 2010 by Lucimar Canedo and her daughters, Thais and Amanda Moreira. Lucimar, a native of Brazil, brought her passion for delicious, home-cooked food to the restaurants."Café de Casa" means "Coffee House of Home" in Portuguese. This is supposed to reflect their commitment to providing an inviting atmosphere where customers can enjoy authentic Brazilian cuisine. If you would like to learn more about the restaurant, KQED has a very fun article about it in its food section, published in July 2024. I will include the link at the end.So, if you are visiting the Fisherman's Wharf and are hungry or feel like sipping a cup of nice coffee, try Café de Case on the corner of Hyde Street and Columbus Ave, right across from the Hyde Street Cable Car station. Delicious Brazilian treats and coffee, fun atmosphere & friendly service. I'm not a huge fam of the tapioca crepes (purely a matter of personal taste) but they were perfectly done & beautifully presented.

I've walked past Café de Casa countless times on my way to the Buena Vista area and the aquatic park in San Francisco, and I can't believe I missed it until now! The interior is bright, sunny, and incredibly inviting. could easily spend all day here. The food is AMAZING!!!! (I'm not a fan of exclamation marks, but in this case, they're absolutely necessary.) The staff was not only friendly but also quick. One thing to note is that there's a 75-minute time limit for tables. My plan is to order food, enjoy it for 75 minutes, then switch tables and order more, followed by coffee and crepes for my third round--because I liked this place that much.I will definitely be back.
