"Redemption Song---Bob MarleyLast time me and my beloved went to Golden Era we didn't have a good experience. I had previously gone there heaps over the years. It was time to give Golden Era a second chance after they dropped the ball on service previously maybe two years since we went there. They were on their A game. Service was on point. Atmosphere was just fine. We both loved seeing so many folks enjoying all vegan meals. Ahimsa. We ordered the Mushu Rolls as a starter. Four of them and recommended for tasty goodness rolled up in a parantha with avocado and vegan mayo with veggies. For our main we split the Spicy Sweet Potato Curry subbing tofu for the faux meat. Sweet curry with a bit of heat. Tasty and ample portions. We had this with brown rice.We were going to get another dish yet this was plenty for us.We saved room for dessert getting a coconut banana dessert that hit the spot in healthy goodness. Friendly service. All vegan goodness. Ample portions. Golden Era returns to our favorite spots to frequent in San Francisco once again. Redemption Song----Bob MarleyFade to mauna- silence.Exit music for a motion picture---RadioheadThom Yorke is vegan!"
"Stopped by for a quick snack, but ended up making a meal out of it. Both the Summer Rolls and the Imperial Rolls (fried spring rolls) were delicious. It's a bit stuffy in here and I was a bit confused on how to dine in the first time around (pick an open table and someone will come over). However, it's a very solid option for food (especially Vietnamese spring/summer rolls) if you're hungry and happen to find yourself in this part of the city."

"Nice boujee viet food!I will say I was on the fence about eating out and paying more than $ for viet food outside or SJ or my family home. However, Bodega was a great experience!Highlights: the Pandan sponge cake (and I want to say coconut or lychee gelato..?) made our jaws drop. The banh cuon was also delish and tasted fresh (highly recommend if you want to explore Viet dishes outside of just pho or eggrolls)!Other notes: - check out the Felix (attached speak easy) while you wait!- it's pretty hard to get in without a reservation. We were turned away the first time and came back a later day with a reservation."
"2/7/25 - My friends and I have been wanting to go here and finally did! It had soooo many iconic Vietnamese dishes like bánh khọt, trạo tôm, nem nướng etc. The staff were so attentive despite being busy and worked so hard to answer our questions and help us! The restaurant was also decorated so beautifully too. We got bánh khọt, nem nướng on sugar cane, and fish sauce chicken for starters. All were sooo delicious! We also got their phở and five spice chicken dry phở. Their coconut coffee was pretty good too! I'd recommend going here to anyone! Excellent experience!"
"After walking into the restaurant ,we were greeted by friendly staff and sat us at our table. Clean and inviting interior. The menu is available on a QR code you can open by using your phone. I ordered shrimp spring rolls and crab rangoon for appetizers. I ordered the Phó Tai and my wife ordered the spicy lemongrass filet mignon with rice plate. The food was delivered hot and fresh. Delicious flavors on on the food we ordered. Definitely returning for more. This place does get busy so don't be surprised if you have to wait for a table. They offer to-go orders also. For good food and service stop by and enjoy."
"Great no-frills spot in Potrero Hill! We came around 6:30pm on a Saturday night. There was no wait but the restaurant quickly filled up by 7pm. The staff were kind and efficient - we got our first dish within 10 minutes of ordering. We ordered: - shrimp spring rolls (came with a delicious peanut sauce) - beef noodle soup (great on this chilly fall evening) - chicken fried rice (classic dish, can't go wrong) The total bill was under $45. Definitely a solid neighborhood spot worth visiting - we will be back!"
"I never want to go dine in for Vietnamese hot pot because my family makes it all the time, but my partner kept raving about it; so I had to try it. The name of this restaurant literally translates to "seafood hot", but they also serve different types of hot pots and Vietnamese dishes.Coconut sea snails (5/5): This is the perfect appetizer. It was very sweet creamy and succulent. Probably one of the best I've ever had.Seafood hotpot (5/5): i had to get this dish the restaurant is named after. It came with shrimp, squid, scallop, tofu, fish ball, clams, mussels , and other. Love the variety of seafood. It was very plentiful and the broth was the perfect sweet and sour. This place definitely blew my mind."
"Casual restaurant with reasonable prices and good service. Everything was clean and tasty. We tried the beef soup with carrots, chicken pho and fried shrimp appetizer. The chicken pho came with barbecue chicken on the side that was very good."
"If there's one thing I know, it's that San Jose in the state of California has thee best pho - without a doubt. Knowing that the Vietnamese community is so strong here - Their soup has be cooking none stop for that deep broth that a lot of other places strive for but within a shorter cooking time. This place, the ambiance is golden. Beautifully picturesque, clean, spacious, and organized - we absolutely knew we were in for a whole 'nother experience that what we've been privy to. When we first got there, the staff was super nice and was able to seat us as soon as we walked in the door. The servers were especially patient with us as we needed some time to look over the menu (we did not know about the hype) and was able to order the San Jose Bowl with additional bone marrow and ribs, Cowboy Pho with side of boneless ribs, and a few drinks. I did not know that the additional ribs would be so huge! I thought that they brought us both orders of ribs and mistakenly forgot about the boneless ribs but when they came back with the boneless ribs I was shocked at how much food I had ordered! The bone marrow. WOW. That gave the soup another level of texture! Let's not forget about the broth, so deep and flavorful. Don't even dare drench that bowl of soup with sauces until you taste the soup. I can't stop thinking about this soup. It was rememberable!"
"One of my top 3 pho places in the city. Friendly people, quick service, and the place is big enough you almost never have to wait."
"This is my favorite no frills spot for a consistently great banh mi. The meat is always juicy and well marinated, the ratio of pickled veggies and jalapeño is perfect for non spice sadists, and the bread has just enough crunch without flaking all over you with every bite. Pro tip: the roasted duck is bomb.com.Yumminess: AAesthetics: BService: BPrice to Value: A"
"Le Soleil is still our go to spot in Inner Richmond! Our favorite dishes are the tofu eggplant, laksa, and shrimp crab soup. The flavors, service, and ambiance are spot on. We tried the 5 spice garlic noodle this time, and didn't love it, but everything else was amazing as usual."

My colleague orders these vegan avocado rolls to our work pot lucks and I've been obsessed with them! They have an extensive menu on everything vegan from rolls, salads, soups, noodles, rice plates, clay pots etc. It's healthy Asian vegan food, what's not to love! I ordered the mushu rolls today which comes with raw cabbage, carrot, avocado, & soy protein wrapped w/ paratha. Soo good, Golden era will be a staple in my book, can't wait to try more dishes from them!

Tu Lan is a San Francisco institution. I have been coming here for many years and it still hits the spot. One of my favorites is the grilled pork with egg rolls and rice. A lot of the items on the menu is under $15 which is very rare for San Francisco restaurants nowadays. The Thai tea is really good, yet small. I would need two of these LOL. The staff is extremely nice and friendly. The best parking would be the 5th and Mission parking garage and walk fast to the restaurant because the area is very questionable, especially at night. But you'll definitely enjoy your meal and it's such a cozy spot with plenty of seating downstairs and upstairs as well. One of my friend's favorite items is the curry fried rice and it's really good! So next time you're looking for a delicious yet inexpensive meal near downtown or Soma, I would highly recommend Tu Lan!

Shoutout to Chloe for handling the reservation changes with such grace, and Maz for being the best server! Came here for my birthday dinner on Saturday and had such an amazing experience. We had a party of 8 and did the set menu called Ask Billy. Ask Billy has to be the best quality and quantity set menu I've ever had. The dishes legit felt never-ending and every dish was fresh and absolutely delicious. I can't recommend ordering the set menu enough if you're a big party; you can avoid making menu choices for everyone, and you can get a little bit of everything. They bring out the food on a shared plate if you're a larger party; for us it was 4 servings on each plate, and they also paired some courses together. I loved the serving style because it brought together upscale dining with Asian family-style eating. My god though, they really know how to feed you; everyone in my party was struggling by the end. The only thing I'd change about my experience is I would've loved to get a small menu with the set menu details, so we could appreciate the food more, and anticipate what to come.I'm so happy with my choice to dine at Bodega! I really wanted a memorable meal, and I got it. They had such warm service too; they put a candle on my dessert course and took a polaroid of me with it, which they handed to me at the end of our dinner dated for the memories!10/10 experience! Grateful for the good food and impeccable vibes, and can't wait to do it again.

I came here for dinner for my BiL's bday. The food presentation was mainstream, but was over seasoned. Restaurant isn't family friendly with broken straps on all the high chairs. Either one seat has ALL male clips or the other seat has ALL female clips. The San Mateo location is much better than the SF location. Music too loud to enjoy the meal.Worst of all at end of meal saw a cockroach crawling along the wall behind us while eating. Not very appetizing......

I walked in with my sister for lunch shortly after they opened. We were the first ones in and were immediately greeted and water was brough to the table. You order from the QR code and it's fairly easy! Our food came out fast too! Vegan Pho - This is some of the best vegan pho I have tasted. So many veggies, so many noodles, and the eggplant was a genius call. Tofu Spring rollsVeggie Egg Rolls - Confirmed twice on two different visits that they are vegan friendly.Salt and Pepper Tofu - Besides the the Pho, the S&P Tofu was HELLA good. I should've order a rice to go with it!This place gets packed and quick! By the time that we left, almost every table was taken. The service is really quick and efficient, which is nice when you're on a time crunch. The only bummer is they no longer serve Banh Mi. Hopefully they'll bring that back because I love me a good Banh Mi and theirs is good!

Great food, friendly service, generous portions for price value! Located in a small plaza with a dedicated parking lot, this is a small hole-in-the-wall restaurant with cozy interior. Service was very quick and efficient, and they helped us with the menu and checked on us throughout our meal. It was clear we've never been here before so they told us how to best eat the dishes when they arrived! Banh Khot: I was so hungry and devoured it before I could take a picture lol. They're mini shrimp pancakes that come in a crispy shell. Came with plenty of fresh vegetables to wrap the banh khot in and the fish sauce was great with it! Very fresh and flavorful, huge portions too. Get this!Spicy Thai Seafood hotpot (small): comes with vegetables and your pick of rice noodle/egg noodle/rice. There was a great assortment of fresh seafood, and the broth was not too spicy, just enough of a kick with a hearty Tom yum flavor. It was super filling too. Highly recommend! I'll definitely be back!

"We love this local Vietnamese restaurant!Service is very fast and clean.I love the variety in Vietnamese soup dishes since there's so much more to explore other than pho but the pho is also so good here!!10/10 would recommend"
"Staff: 5/5 Ambience: 5/5 Food: 4/5We decided to go to Lily for brunch on a Sunday. We got there right when they opened, and the place was empty, but it slowly started to fill up.They offer a tasting menu (three courses) that we chose to go with. If you're seeking a brunch menu, they don't have one. However, they do have a few egg-based dishes, but they're not your typical brunch plates. The three-course meal came with some nonalcoholic beverage options. What surprised me was how balanced the drinks were and the fact that they weren't too sweet. Exactly the way I liked them. For appetizers, we chose to have the beef pho and duck egg rolls, and both were really good. I liked the soup more. For main dishes, we tried the chicken bánh mì and garlic noodle bowl. The portions were very generous, and we were satisfied by the end, leaving no room for desserts. The staff and ambiance were both really nice, and I absolutely loved the wallpaper. Overall, I'll give this place a big thumbs up. We'll definitely be coming back for dinner!"
"Thanks to my fellow Yelpers for leading us here! What a great place for a delicious, inexpensive Vietnamese lunch! We came here intending to grab lunch to go and enjoy in the nearby Salesforce Park. Good thing that was our plan because there is currently no seating here. We placed our order with a cashier near the front door and didn't have to wait too long before it was ready. I had the Teriyaki Tofu Banh Mi sandwich and it was overflowing with fresh ingredients! Shredded carrots, cucumber, daikon, cilantro, jalapeño, and yummy tofu! The bread was perfectly crunchy, too! My husband ordered the Shrimp Fresh Rolls and asked for soy sauce. He loved it but wished he had their peanut sauce to go along with it, too. This place is understandably popular so you can expect a line but it moves pretty quickly. I wish we had one here in Reno!"
"Yum! I got the BBQ Pork to go. Service was friendly and quick. And there was tons of space to wait. I took the sandwich to go. And it was great, the meat was flavorful, and the veggie and bread were fresh. I can't wait to come back to try the other varieties!"
"Excellent food and excellent service! We had a birthday party dinner for my son. The waitress heard it's a birthday party she gave us ice cream on the house. The only thing is it's hard to find a parking space."
"I swear we've been here before, but this place has amazing Bun Bo Hue! Great service, but maybe since there was no one else there during dinner. Dipping the rare meat into the pho was so tasty and juicy. I'm not sure if they got new owners or what, but worth trying again if you haven't been here in a while. Our new go to for bun Bo hue"
"TLDR: Go there before lunchtime to grab the best banh mi. Best for walkers on the go. Filling. Yummy.Easily the best I've had in SF. I pass by this cute little place and read their cute little quotes of the day everyday on my walk but whenever I want to go try their food they're almost always quickly sold out by afternoon. So please get there quick to grab the goodest stuff and maybe some wisdom cos they have two quotes put up to read everyday. It's a small kiosk style quick bites place with a good range of banh mi or Vietnamese sandwiches, bagels sandwiches, brunch items in the menu. My favourite is their chicken meatball sandwich. Flavours so good and mild it'll make you happy from the inside. It definitely made me. Thank you very much lady in the kiosk."
"Was suggested to try out this spot, so glad I did. Hands down, the crispy duck sammy hit so hard. The tenderness of meat was yummy. The bread was fresh and crunchy but soft enough to devour. Good size sammy for lunch unless you like sharing it with another. Overall the combo of slaw and duck, ughhh say less. I took order to go but there is a good amount of seating indoors. Menu has such a variety, will come back to try more. Service was prompt and didn't have to wait too long for order."
"They used to be really good. Like, packed on a weekday lunch filled with asian people good. But now, something's changed. Honestly think Covid killed this place. Before Covid, it was very good broth pho soup. But maybe they changed owners? Or the head chef left? I don't know. The pho broth is light, without a lot of flavor, and honestly pretty bland. Like others have said, there are lots of better pho places around."
"I used to frequent the older San Jose Tung Kee Noodle location as a kid and I've always loved their #1 combo rice stick noodle soup, freshly squeezed orange juice, and #30 fried taro cake. When my parents told me there was a 'new' tung kee noodle that opened relatively recently, I was excited to try it. The rice stick noodle soup is no longer as salty/msg-y (which I kind of liked)... now it's blander (probably so you can adjust the soup yourself if you so choose), so I add some of their housemade chili sauce to go with it (which is quite good actually!) This could've been hotter, but I like my soup pipping hot. My husband got the #2 spicy beef satay, but he liked mine better. It was quite good, though not spicy at all. This place is packed on the weekends when I went, but the food comes out pretty fast so the turnover is relatively quick. Loved the fried taro cake, it was so good! Fresh, piping hot, and massive portions for the price. The prices are extremely reasonable - soups were $12 ish and the taro cake was ~$12 as well. Freshly squeezed orange juice is very good and tart. A little pricey but juices usually are nowadays. A dollar or two more if you want no ice. Pay at the front with your table number when you're done. Would definitely come again for some comfort food."
"Let's talk about exceptional service, A++ quality, and an unforgettable flavor experience! The pho here is so delicious that no extra sauces are needed. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, making every visit enjoyable. I absolutely love eating here--the food is consistently amazing!"
"Very good noodles. I ordered them for lunch. The portion was big so I had to split it and ate it in two days. The service was great and the food was fine. As far as The ambiance I am not sure about because i didn't go in person."
"If you're looking for a more "hole in the wall" authentic Vietnamese place, you found it! We ordered the Combination Pho and vegetarian pho. Both were loaded with noodles and toppings! I was on my last bites of noodles and still eating beef with every bite. The broth was rich and delicious. Portions are generous and price is a great value. Service was awesome. We will definitely be back for a vermicelli bowl or another bowl of pho."
"This review is for catering. I got garlic noodles, five spice chicken, imperial rolls, summer rolls and papaya salad. It was all delicious and hot and fresh exactly at the time ordered. The full tray of garlic noodles and chicken was such a deal. I fed 50 people for $500 and had loads of leftovers. Everyone was so happy."
"Small and old place in town with good foods with reasonable price , specially Banh Canh Cua (Crab Udon) Friendly and helpful service."
"My parents haven't been around Little Saigon all that much, and my mom wanted to try this restaurant after watching a video somewhere. This was a great excuse to get them out of the house and try a new restaurant that's not there on their usual lineup list.First off, there is plenty of parking since the area is a shopping plaza. Upon entering the restaurant, it's quite spacious. We went at lunchtime, and it wasn't very busy. Their menu selection was pretty big. We ordered the Banh Khot, Banh Hoi Tom Thit Nuong, Com Thit Nuong, and Nui Xiao Bo Luc Lac.The Banh Khot was good! I've honestly never had it before so I cannot compare it with anything else. However, I thought the flavor was well-balanced, and I think the batter is the same batter they use to make Banh Xeo. The vegetables tasted fresh, which complemented the dish well. The Nui Xiao Bo Luc Lac (shaking beef with garlic noodles) was good. Flavor was definitely there. I will say I was slightly disappointed in the noodles. While the texture was good, not hard and had a good chew to it, it was lacking in garlic flavor. You couldn't taste any garlic, so the name was misleading to what you're actually getting. But aside from that, the beef was pretty tender and absorbed the sauce well.Portions are definitely shareable here, so be mindful of that! Overall, I would say it was a good place to try out and the price was reasonable for the amount t of food you're getting!"
"Great place to grab a quick bite. Delicious!!!Service is normal if is busy be patient. Nice indoor seating and very small outdoor/street seating is available."
"Downtown San Francisco has always been a place with fun things to do during the Holidays. In the middle of it all is a Vietnamese restaurant called Bun Mee which has two San Francisco locations. This Bun Mee is on Market street between 3rd street and New Montgomery. I first got the Mama Tran's Chicken Pho. This was a pleasant surprise. The flavor of the broth was very delicious and it was quite refreshing. It also had good cuts of chicken and the noodles were thin which are my favorite when it comes to Pho Ga. Had to try the namesake the Bun Mee ( Banh Mi) so I got the classic combo with lemon grass pork, mortadella, and pate along their hot jalapeño peppers ( non negotiable according to the wall sign). The toasted baguette gave it soft crunch along with the veggies. This place offers Vietnamese coffee and also cold brew drinks like Matcha. A good place to grab Vietnamese food on Market street.Slurp on Mama Tran's Chicken Pho thin noodles and don't forget to add the Sriracha Get the cold brew beer or the cold brew Matcha"
"My favorites: duck banh mi (although protein is a little scant), 5 spice chicken banh mi, and tofu bowl. All excellent. Personally, I didn't care for the traditional pork banh mi. Found it a little tough. The sandwiches are all fresh. Would recommend! Great value. Reasonable prices."
"I look forward to having extra time when I'm heading to a Warriors game so I can enjoy this wonderful restaurant. The food is authentic, freshly made and DELICIOUS!"
"It's been a minute since we've been at this location. It never disappoints. The tough part is parking but we were able to secure a spot a block away. We were surprised there was no wait. It was Saturday, early evening. Probably because of the holidays? But great for us as we had a nice window seat at the front of the restaurant. We did a crab meal for 2 although we were a party of 3. We added 2 more dishes, green beans and shrimp. We were stuffed!"
"We were craving pho and swung by Pho Saigon. My usual order is pho with beef balls. The broth is perfectly salty and flavorful. I ordered a medium and was shocked by how filling it was. We also got the tofu spring rolls and they were delicious. The flavoring of the tofu is addicting and it's for sure a favorite! Pho Saigon is one of our go tos!"
"I walked in because of their garlic noodles and left satisfied. The order took awhile, but it wasn't an issue. Will return for their noodles."
