"Came here for lunch with friends. They raved about the restaurant so I let them order. Everything we had was fantastic and authentic tasting. I even enjoyed my sangria. It wasn't iced down like most restaurants do. We had a dish with steak and fries and onions. It was delicious. Even the bread was good with butter and a spicy sauce we put on it. We also had a cilantro rice with Chicken. My husband hates cilantro but he enjoyed this rice dish and it was so flavorful. We also had a dish that looked like paella but was actually a seafood rice. I loved it. The last dish was a spaghetti dish with chicken. Very flavorful and tasty. All in all - very nice restaurant. Service was on"
"For our office lunch last week, I decided to order from Fresca. We ordered via Caviar and scheduled the delivery to arrive between 11:30am and 12pm. Our order didn't arrive until a little before 12:30pm on Friday, August 4th. Not sure if it was a lag with Caviar or Fresca, but at least it wasn't super late.*Pollo A La Brasa (Lunch): Marys farm free range herb encrusted rotisserie chicken served with crispy kenebec french fries ($16)*Lechon Asado: Pulled pork, mango aji sauce, jack cheese, coleslaw, tomato, and toasted Dutch crunch bread, French fries ($14)I ordered the chicken while I shared the sandwich with another coworker. The chicken was a hefty portion at half a whole bird. I only ate the thigh the first day which was nice and juicy. The salad was also good and pretty big for a side salad. I know fries don't travel well, so these were just okay. Kinda soggy when they got to our office. The sandwich was a nice way to try their pulled pork. I could have passed on it though as I didn't think it was very flavorful. Especially after having the yummy chicken first. One of my coworkers ordered the empanadas which ended up being smaller than she thought. Not enough for a full meal. That's why we ended up sharing the sandwich as the person who ordered it wasn't in the office that day.Fresca ended up being a hit at work. I'd definitely order their chicken again if it comes up as an option for lunch. Very tasty!"

"The fried chicken was delicious. Crispy on the outside (without too much breading), moist and juicy on the inside. The sauce, kind of light, pesto-like, made the fried chicken morsels even more yummy. We had other food, but this in my opinion was the best. Then there was the cheesecake. Wow. Beautifully plated. The taste was subtle: not too sweet, buttery smooth, full of delicate flavor. Service was excellent: kind and attentive. The ambience was cozy but open. Highly recommended."
"FOOD albóndigas meatballs were good. They give you a lot of sauce to go with the meatballs. I wish the plantains were in a separate container otherwise they get soggy and don't stay as sweet. However it all was yummy! INSIDE is shared with a plant based restaurant. Walk in and order from the counter on the left. They have indoor and some outdoor seating in the back with free WiFi internet. I saw people with their laptops working and eating. They were playing good Latin salsa music. I would come back here."
"Fantastic chef! They create wonderful dishes, meat, vegetarian, wonderful spices, sauces, fish dishes.Friendly and kind staff!"
"I love Peruvian food and was so excited to try Bocado for our team dinner while in San Francisco for a work trip. The inside is a bit modern with fun ocean themed decorations. The service was incredibly friendly from start to finish. Our server took great care of our large party and wasn't afraid to provide us with recommendations to steer our meal in the right direction. We had to get the ceviche sampler platter, of course. Peruvians know how to do ceviche better than anyone else. And every single ceviche was absolutely delicious. We also got the fried whole fish, fried rice, and pisco sours among other dishes that are escaping my mind right now. Although I might not remember every single thing our huge party devoured, I do remember that everything was on point. Especially the pisco sours and the purple potato appetizer which was unlike anything I've ever had. All of it came out in a timely manner and we were all so satisfied. The only thing to note is that the bathroom is located down a very long and strange hallway in the back of the building but it wasn't much of an inconvenience, more so just an odd feature."
"I was hankering for Peruvian and decided to try El Porteno. It was easy to order through GrubHub and my food arrived earlier than the estimated time. Lomo Saltado ($22.98)This dish was tasty, yet a bit disappointing due to the tough & overcooked beef. I also felt there wasn't much beef in the dish. The fries were on the soggy side. Otherwise, the flavor of this dish was very good.Yuca Frita ($9.98)These Yuca fries come with a huancaina sauce. The fries are good with or without the dip. Ceviche Mixto ($19.98)Decent size portion of ceviche mixto ; I've had smaller servings at other restaurants. So this is good bang for your buck. It contained a good variety of seafood. I would order this again.Arroz con Mariscos ($22.98)This dish is full of flavor, and maybe a tad on the salty side, but it was delicious. I would order this dish again. My first experience with this restaurant was positive. I would not hesitate ordering from here again, so I can try some other items on their menu."
"Really enjoyed this place! Came here in the late afternoon when they had happy hour. Ordered garlic fries, empanadas, chicharrón, and lomo saltado noodles. All of it was good. The one thing I'd recommend is eat your garlic fries quickly as they get cold quickly and these ones aren't as great when they are cold. In terms of service, 5 stars for sure! They were so nice because we were there a while they dropped us off a flan at our table even though it had been a while since we'd paid our check. Overall, it's a great restaurant. I'd totally come back. There is a really great mural in the restaurant and lots of televisions if you're looking to watch the game. Highly recommend during happy hour which happens every day they are open!"

I'm content with the food. Been recommended this place when I wanted to try Peruvian food. As time went by other places have popped up but Mi Lindo Peru seems like a classic for the city. The service was on point and always attentive and the whole staff was nice. They refilled our waters and check on us often but not overdoing it. We started with ceviche mixto and a papa rellena. The ceviche was so good with a burst of flavour. The lemon juice itself was so comforting and yum. I felt like I needed avocado but that's fine. Love the banana chips, corn pops, the chunks of potatoes on the side. The papa rellena was so savouriy and not greasy at all. Add ají Amarillo to it if you want it spicy. As for drinks, we went for the chicha morada. The purple drink. Perfect amount of spices and refreshing. Lomo a lo pobre was an abundant portion of almost everything. Fried plantains, rice with kernels, and the beef with tomatoes and onions. The sauce is really the star of the show. The fried runny on top was a nice touch and totally fulfilling. I'll come back with a friend or family memeber to introduce them to Peruvian cuisine. A pisco sour would be nice

I invited my sister to brunch one weekend without any idea where we wanted to go. I picked Noe Valley and we walked around for about 2 minutes before we chose Fresca. We both felt like lunch over brunch and picked the empanada sampler and the ceviche sampler. We kinda over ordered, but you gotta treat yourself sometimes.I ordered myself a Mimosa, because it was brunch afterall. Service was quick, food came out perfectly presented and delicious. There was enough to take leftovers for later. We both loved it so much, we often talk about our Peruvian brunch spot. We will have to bring our Mom next time, because good taste in food runs in the family and I know she will love it too.

Perfect brunch spot in Dogpatch to enjoy the sun in San Francisco!O R D E R E D· Lomo Saltado· Red Snapper Ceviche· Empanadas [chicken and cheese]· Pao De Quejo· Yucca Fries· Fried Plantain Chips· Mango Orange Agua Fresca [OH MY GOD - THE BEST!]V E R D I C TYou can't go wrong with anything here, everything from the minute you walk-in to the minute your food arrives is so colorful and vibrant! I love their outdoor patio area - perfect to catch some vitamin-d and if it's too sunny, they have umbrellas for some shade.I literally wanted to order everything from their menu because Peruvian food is one of my favorites, but since it was lunch time, I didn't want to go overboard so I ordered the following listed above. We can drink their mango orange all day long! It was so refreshing and flavorful and now I want another one just thinking about it. The lomo is so tender and its the staple item at any Peruvian restaurant so I had to order it to try for myself. I can never say no to ceviche, esp the red snapper as I'm a bigger fan of white fish. The appetizers and sides all hit the spot. Their menu introduces flavorful vegetarian dishes and most items on the menu are GLUTEN-FREE.Parking on the weekend is pretty easy and convenient right on the main street, you can even walk here if it's sunny enough. It's so close to the Warriors Chase Center / Mission Bay, just 1/2 mile south.

In a neighborhood where there are so many good restaurants, this is definitely one you should not overlook. I had the adobo de chancho -- the pork was incredibly tender and delicious, paired nicely with a Peruvian lager. Service was very friendly, and the place feels quite intimate and homey. There's plenty of seating indoors, as well as outdoors in a parklet. I would definitely come here again!

While in San Francisco for a conference, I took a walk along the Embarcadero to stretch my legs. I found the local market with many different food and gift options. I stumbled upon this place and saw how busy it was (long line of people). Everyone seemed to order the same 2 things: lamb empanada and banana empanada. So I did the same. The lamb one was so so so tasty and delicious! I wanted to go back for another one because of how good it tasted, but couldn't do it after eating the banana empanada (was very rich and sweet). Both were great. It's a cute little place in the market across from the Hyatt. Highly recommended.

Vibey spot with affordable drinks and bar bites during 3-6pm happy hour, which features $9 cocktails, $6 draft beer, and sub-$15 bar bites!recs: ceviche (we were super impressed)price: ~$20/person- Ceviche: features large cuts of white fish with delicious andean corn and sweet potato. Lots of interesting textures and flavors!- Platanos Maduros: Kind of a small portion for the price but the aji verde was delicious. The sweetness pairs really well with any savory dishes you might get. You might also consider getting the side option on the regular menu, which is $4 cheaper than HH (but may be a smaller portion?)Service was super efficient and very personable and friendly. It was easy to walk in before 6 on a Friday and nab a seat!

"We had an early reservation for dinner last Saturday night. We figured arriving early should make parking easier to handle, but we were circling for about 10 minutes before finding a place. Same with our friends in their car who met us for dinner. When we arrived, there was only one other table occupied, and our table had a Reserved sign on it. One downside, we were very near the door, and we never really warmed up all evening. Next time, we'll request a table away from the door! Those were the negatives. Everything else was wonderful! We were warmly greeted and shown to our table. Lighting was low, and felt very comfortable. For the four of us, we ordered:* Plantain Chips (I think they were complimentary, along with a spicy dipping sauce) -- excellent, crispy, a great way to keep us occupied while ordering* Calamari Frito -- excellent! Crispy, and two great dipping sauces.* Tostada de Quinoa -- not sure if this is what we ordered, but it was very good. We split it into quarters. For the main course, there were two orders of the amazing Salmon Risotto (one for me, one for our friend). This was a thick piece of salmon, perfectly grilled and still hot, sitting on a cylinder of crispy risotto. The risotto was also perfect, just enough crispiness on the outside, and cheesy warmth on the inside. Inbetween, a layer of sauteed spinach, and a great salsa. One of the best salmon dishes I've ever had.My wife ordered the Pescado Sudan, halibut poached in Peruvian Salsa Tigre, and served over spinach and yuca frita. I got to taste some at dinner, and more the next night as leftovers. Excellent flavors, just enough spice. The final dish was the Costillos De Cordero, Australian lamb chops. Presentation was beautiful (see photo) and she was very excited by this dish. For dessert we ordered the Picarones, three warm Peruvian donuts with a cinnamon syrup. We were expecting the donuts to be small, but they were huge. The plate was steaming, and the best part was cutting a piece and dipping it into the sauce on the plate. The texture was a little chewy, but delicious. And we had to have chocolate, so we ordered the flourless chocolate cake. Exactly what we were hoping for, with a small dollop of whipped cream on top.We will be back for sure. This may even become a tradition for us since it's about half way from our home and from our friends' home. Check it out!"
"We came here for our pre-New Years dinner with our friends. This restaurant looks small from the outside but has more seating in the back for bigger groups. It has such cute decor and the staff are very friendly and accommodating by describing the different foods. Here is what we had:Chicken and beef empanadas: Nice crispy shell, packed with meat... definitely one of the best empanadas I have had in awhileEnsalada mixta: regular salad but delicious. They have salad dressing to go with it, but I loved it just with the lime and olive oil. Refreshing!Chicharron de pollo: like chicken nuggets but on another level. Paired with lime squeezed on top and their special dipping sauce, totally a pleaser for both young and oldHalf chicken: I believe they are known for their roasted chicken...I have to say it tastes like the ones they make in the Philippines. Nice and juicy with flavor throughout Lomo Saltado: Wok-fried succulent strips of beef, sautéed with vibrant vegetables and zesty spices, over french fries. Served with jasmine rice - this was good, the meat was nice and tender. Although the sauce was a little overwhelming for me, if paired with rice it is perfect.Platano Frito: plantain bananas that adds a nice touch in between all the different foods we triedArroz con leche: the best Peruvian dessert I have tried. They told us it is a homemade recipe. This has a unique taste that brings back memories of my own Philippine dessert called suman. Definitely worth having at the end of your meal.Overall I will definitely go back and suggest you try it out if you are in the area."
"Went here for Valentines Day. Very good service! I ordered the Lomo Saltado which was delicious! My boyfriend ordered a chicken dish which he loved!"
"We've been back to La Rhonda multiple times, and every visit has been a delightful experience. This last visit, I brought my family along, and they enjoyed the food so much that the table was unusually quiet--not from lack of conversation, but because everyone was too busy savoring the delicious dishes. The atmosphere at La Rhonda is warm and inviting, and the service is always top-notch. The food never disappoints, with each dish bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. It's the kind of place where you can't help but dive right into your meal, leaving little time for anything else.We can't wait for our next visit to La Rhonda. If you're looking for a restaurant that consistently delivers amazing food and a great dining experience, this is the place to be."
"Great place and very authentic vibes. The ceviche and fish were on point as one of the best in the city for Peruvian"
"Delicious authentic peruvian food!We were looking for peruvian restaurants and were initially a little hesitant to come here given the few reviews this restaurant had. Upon entering, I almost mistook them for a club as there was a full bar set up and a dj playing music. We came on a Friday night and they were also doing karoake. In my opinion, the music was simply way too loud. It was basically impossible to have a conversation without full-on yelling. Even from outside, you could hear the music blasting clearly. That was probably my one issue. For food, I ordered the Perihuela, which was a tomato based soup with fish and other seafood. I loved it; there were crunchy pieces of giant peruvian corn on the top and a generous amount of seafood. The tomato flavor was nice and strong. My boyfriend enjoyed his lomo saltado a lot, but he wished there were more pieces of steak. Overall, the restaurant was definitely not what I was expecting in the slightest but it was a great experience and I'm glad I went. Would revisit to try other items on the menu."
"Not bad... had the Fish Sandwich ($11.50) comes with a side of twice fried fries.Truck is located on most days on Mission St near the corner of 2nd St.The fish was a red snapper, by flavor. The batter taste like a beer batter, but I can't be too sure. Flavor was good, but needed some tarter sauce. The bun was really good though. The twice fried fries kept it all crispy even in a cover plastic container. I think it might need a little salt or ketchup, but otherwise, it s OK."
"Very delicious Red Velvet Cake. Definitely recommend coming but there are limited seating."
"Everything about this place is the best!!!!Food, Service, atmosphere, are incredible. Get here as soon as possible!!!"
"First of all the restaurant is beautiful and the food is delicious. The owners are kind and truly care about their reputation. They also throw great nightlife events! We were there for the super bowl and it was so much fun, besides the loss, and the music from @crw.ent was awesome!"
"Food envy.Last time when I was eating lunch at MEDA (Mission Economic Development Agency), I saw some guys devouring food from Ceviche 19. And, it looked bomb.So bomb...that *DROOL* dribbled down from the corner of my mouth. I didn't want to be a heffer ordering a second lunch so I made a mental note to return.Four months later and still no Yelp listing for Ceviche 19?! But, they seem to be fav among locals in The Mission. Several regulars just sat down without going to the counter to order, and the owner/chef brought them food. Ceviche 19 is a Peruvian Food Stall located inside MEDA - Plaza Adelante. They're open for takeout, dine-in, and delivery (DoorDash). They're also two other food stalls in the lobby area (El Corazón Cafe and a Torta + Juice Stall). Hours of Operation: Sign outside says, Monday - Saturday, 10:30 AM - 6 PM. Menu says, Monday - Saturday, 11 AM - 6 PM. DoorDash says, Monday, Wednesday - Saturday, 11:30 AM - 6:10 PM. I arrived at 11:30 AM but they didn't open until 11:45 AM so def call ahead of time if you have time constraints. M E N U Peruvian Cuisine - Causa: Layered potato casserole ($10.99-$23.99), Ceviche ($14.99-$21.99), and Lunch Specials; e.g. Seco de Cordero: Lamb Shank w/ rice, Tallarin con Pollo: Spaghetti w/ chicken, etc. ($23.99-$39.99). Cc's accepted. O R D E R I N GFor dine-in, place your order at the counter and they'll bring your order to you. Pay after you're done eating.F O O D* Seco de Cordero: Lamb Shank w/ rice, beans, and salsa criolla (Menu - $23.99/POS system - $22.99): https://tinyurl.com/2p9ec78cFirst, can we appreciate the presentation/plating from this tiny food stall? When I'm craving Peruvian comfort food this is IT...The braised lamb shank was rich, flavorful, and fork tender. Served over a bed of stewed buttery peruano beans (canary beans) and arroz chaufa (Peruvian fried rice). The herbs from the fried rice (cumin and oregano?) complemented the lamb. The Peruvian red onion and pepper relish (salsa criolla) was punchy and acidic, helping to cut through the meatiness. The owner/chef asked if I like it hot...yes please! He brought over an aji and habanero (?) based hot sauce that was fruity, acidic, and packed heat. So good. S E R V I C EAll business. Food takes some time to prepare so allot at least 20 minutes. If you're in the area and craving Peruvian food, def worth hitting up this small local business!"
