"Tuna Kahuna is my favorite lunch spot in Burlingame. The owners truly care and are often in the kitchen themselves. Fresh fish, excellent sauces and marinades, and a wide variety of toppings. Their signature bowls are the way to go, as each is thoughtfully composed with ingredients that complement each other. Their new ginger scallion bowl is my current fave. The salmon lover bowl another go-to. Casual ambiance with indoor and outdoor seating. I have yet to try their special weekend meals, which is a more elevated dining experience. Another bonus: they have a rewards program which is earns you discounts over time. I'll be back!"

"Review #002 - 2025I haven't written too many reviews lately since I feel like--unless a business really warrants a great review or a really poor review then I'm kind of wasting my time.I used to write reviews because I enjoyed the interaction with other Yelpers; but lately, Yelp just doesn't have that same community feel from when I first started.However, that shouldn't stop me from writing an honest review when a business deserves to be commended on their food/service.My two sisters and I showed up with our 3 daughters on Friday, February 21, around 5 PM.We were greeted and seated immediately.The place was pretty slow since it was still early for dinner so we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves.Our waitress was very sweet and accommodating. I didn't ask her name, but she's a cute young Asian girl, who always had a smile on her face.We ordered quite a few items to share.My older sister and two nieces each ordered the wagyu burger, which they all said was made to their liking.We had the pa'ina wings which were really tasty.The salt and pepper wings were a little salty for my preference, but the kids seemed to enjoy them.We had an order of regular fries and garlic fries, which we all enjoyed a little too much, considering we're all suppose to be eating "healthy".We ordered the garlic noodz with seafood and that was pretty tasty as well.The garlic butter shrimps were our least favorite because the shrimp had a weird smell, like it was drenched in lighter fluid, but the kitchen tried to make us a new order and it still came out smelling the same so they were kind enough to just remove it from our bill.The poke nachos arrived late, but we still enjoyed it. My sister ended up taking the rest home for her husband.The manager was very sweet! She brought the kids some complimentary pineapple Dole whip as an apology for the shrimp fiasco and sang "happy birthday" to our 16th year old niece.The whole experience was very memorable! We'll try to return should we ever happen to be in the area.Our waitress took some photos for us with their Instagram-worthy wall :)"

Staff is friendly when ordering over the phone or in person. At busy times best to call ahead but today decided to come in around 7pm and they got my 3 orders ready in under 10 mins. Sometimes when busy they will tell you 20 mins. Pretty standard seating for a Hawaiian spot. Like a fast casual spot from the 90's and it's still the same as the 90's. One of the better more consistent spots for Hawaiian in the peninsula."

"Everything, you must try everything! Nestled within a wine bar is Unco Frank's, a fresh, modern take on Hawaiian food. And boy, everything single dish had me saying "Oh my god!" If you want a taste of all their classics, get the Pupu Platter -- it's perfect to share with two people. The coconut shrimp is hot, crispy and tender! The Mac salad has a peppery kick! All in all, a solid place for a quick bite and a glass of wine/beer. The service was stellar as well -- friendly and fast. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a casual place with solid bites and drinks."

Clean, casual modern food court vibe in the upscalish all-new (a few years new) food court annex of Hillsdale Mall.Indifferent service but they get the job done. I ordered the 2-scoop Poke bowl with Hawaiian style tuna and salmon with a base of mixed greens and brown rice. The scoop of tuna was small, so perhaps the pro tip here is to just spend the extra $2 for the larger 3-scoop bowl. I did not like the fact that you have to pay $2 extra for seaweed! Uhh.. no.. not this time.I normally go for the Mexican place here in this food court, so this was still an okay alternative for something different."

"If you love garlic, this is the poke place for you!! I was excited to see so many garlicky options to add into my bowl. I got a regular "build your own" bowl, which came with three scoops of protein.I tried the furikake salmon and Hawaiian tuna! Both were pretty good. The salmon was VERY buttery and fatty. The tuna was classic lean fish with sesame, green onion, ogo seaweed, shoyu, etc. I was pretty satisfied!For garlic options, I got the garlic crab salad, garlic mayo, and garlic bread crumbs. There were also seared garlic albacore and garlic shrimp options!"

"It was surprisingly pouring everywhere. For the drought-ridden land, I'm betting it was heaven. For my friend, biking near Sausalito, it was the exact opposite. Two flat tires later, I received a call to help a friend out just as I ordered my poke bowl from Pokebola. I quickly rushed over to Civic Center to grab my food - the surrounding area is ok. Not much going on, but once you go inside, I was instantly greeted by the worker who sent my on my way. Service, in a minuscule interaction, showed to be great.I ended up picking up my friend and seeing amazing parts of SF that I hadn't yet seen. But once I got home, tired and ready to eat, the food hit. And it HIT. Really great poke, good portions, and I couldn't even finish it. This place is a great choice for Poke and I would recommend it for anywhere else to get."

"Saw this new spot pop up on my yelp feet and decide to try out since I love Hawaiian food. When trying Hawaiian for the first time I always go with the loco moco and musubi. Also grabbed a poke bowl to try out. Since we are all still in Shelter in Place I ordered via mobile via their website from my car. Very easy to place an order and was done in the 10-15 minutes that was stated on the site. Gave me enough time to pick up a few items I needed at the ranch. The loco moco was pretty good. Gravy was a little congealed since it had to travel back home but they gave a good portion of meat and was spiced well. Mac salad was decent and egg was cooked just right. Bag tipped over in my car but lid held everything in so no biggie. Good take on the Hawaiian classic. Also ordered a Poke bow with 2 scoops. Pretty easy to select toppings via the website. "Oke poke is just that: Ok poke. I went around 8pm, and I'm not gonna lie, the area was a mess. A bit messy, felt a bit unsafe with a car, so I ran in to grab it quickly and leave. It's not a sit down place, just a kitchen where you can order/pickup from.I quickly left and got home to start the meal. Honestly, it was pretty solid but wasn't as tasty as I would want. The sauce was a bit lacking but the quantity was pretty solid. In reality, I would give 3.5 stars but that's just not how Yelp operates."

"Loved the chicken teriyaki bowl with brown rice! I am very particular about teriyaki sauce - if it doesn't taste like my mom's - then I'm not having it. So, the sauce was milder than my mom's (not quite as salty/sweet), but I was okay with that because it was absolutely delicious and exactly the right consistency to me (Noelani's knows how to do chicken teriyaki the way I like it!) - excellent dipping sauce - the marinade was also spot on - oh and the chicken was cooked perfectly I might add. Super flavorful, moist and succulent - YUM! The furikake sprinkled on the rice was an epic surprise (I love furikake) and added an additional layer of flavor, I would definitely order it again. The waitstaff were super nice and awesome! We also ordered the ice cream Oreo cookie crust pie - also YUM!!!"

"If you are looking for a good happy hour in the Marina, Palm House is a good spot to check out.We had some friends visiting from out of town, and we were looking for happy hour spot that was dog friendly, and palm house fit the bill after checking out their HH menu. They run HH Monday-Friday from 4-6PM. The best deal is their famous punch bowls, normally close to $70, it's 50% off during happy hour. While they lean to the sweet side, it's big enough to share with 2-3 people. The HH food was good but a little bit salty, especially their tuna poke taquitos. Good but too salty. They've got a bunch of food items though on their HH menu for under $9. Back to the dog friendly portion, I've never seen a restaurant that welcomes our pups. The staff was so kind providing them water and treats, and they even offer puppy cocktails and food on their menu. Overall,Definitely a spot worth checking out for HH"
