Chalos have the most delicious empanadas which have become a regular delivery staple in our household (spicy beef and ham & cheese are firm favorites). The food is consistently excellent, the presentation great, and the coffee is some of the best in the area. Highly recommended."

"I've seen advertisements for this place plenty of times on yelp as well as an Instagram. Every time I've come by in the past, there was no parking and today I got lucky. I pulled over and jumped out the truck! What you first have to understand is, I'm from South America. I grew up, with my mom making empanadas my entire life. I've had her cook them here and I have gone back to South America and had them there. To me, empanadas are life and I am a harsh critic. Unfortunately, they are not for me. To me, from the dough to the ingredients inside, it all lacked that South American flavor. I get it this, they are playing to the neighborhood. You know what I found crazy odd, they don't have Aji. Aji is our version of salsa picante. It's like going to a Taqueria and there's no salsa for chips. Come on guys, that's the real travesty. But Remember, this is coming from an empanada snob! Now, for you folks that have not grown up with this cuisine, come right on in. The bottom line, they are tasty. A plus, they had so many types of emanadas, from beef to vegan. I also have to add, that the service was friendly, attractive and attentive."

Yum! These are the best empanadas my husband and I have had so far! We tried the corn, chicken, spicy beef, mushroom, and ham & cheese. They were all very tasty. We tried the fried and baked version of the spicy beef and prefer the fried version. The customer service was great and staff was really friendly and helped us decide on which type of empanadas to get. Our favorite is the spicy beef, but they were all yummy! The ambiance is nice and cozy. We also tried the churros and they were pretty good as well. We will definitely be back for their empanadas!

food 50/50service 25/25ambience 25/25total 100/100delicioso empanadas argentos!!! super amable y sencillo!lugar es facil llegar y ordernar! tried 2 empanadas. the beef and the 5 pepper manchego cheese & loved it. the orange salsa i preferred over the chimichurri (but that's because i am picky and prefer my familys recipe from buenos aires) the location is easy to walk to, quick to order and the person was very nice! i loved the collage hanging on the wall of random history pop culture and land marks from Argentina! definitely will come back to try more empanadas and the alfajores, they look legit!

Just happened to stumble in on my way to work and found this hidden gem. This cafeteria style Guatemalan bakery serves a hardy breakfast and other unique drinks that looks freshly made every morning. The ladies are extremely friendly and had no issues ordering what I wanted. Once I paid in front, the food came out immediately, very efficient! My plate comes with my choice of scrambled eggs ( a few styles that I can choose from), a slice of cojita? cheese?, and a hearty serving of beans. I also ordered a rice drink thats not too sweet. Perfect The meal came with a bread roll that by far is my favorite. It brought the whole breakfast together. The bread had a nice crust and pillowy soft inside. It's a bakery after all the serves breakfast and other meals. Would definitely come back again :)

[4.2/5.0]Great place to stop by while visiting the Salesforce park. Speaking of Salesforce Park, tell me it doesn't have Westworld vibes??? Anyways, these empanadas made me feel human again for sure. They claim to be the first empanada shop in SF and I'm not so convinced, but they do serve some scorching hot empanadas and they are very scrumpdillumptious. Spicy beef went stupid and the salsas was the perfect partner for them. Their tango mango drink was great as well, sweet at first and followed up by a nice bitter aftertaste. Go Venga!

I found them at the Alameda farmers market on Saturday. I got the spicy beef, spicy pork, and the chicken. Of the three, the spicy pork was the best. The smoked pork taste radiated through each bite. It was not spicy for me, but for some, I sure it would be.The spicy beef and the chicken were good, but not as good as the pork. I liked that the empanadas were baked, as the crust had a nice shine and crunch.

Tasty empanadas! Great selection and vegetarian friendly. I tried the eggplant and the ham & cheese, and both were delicious. I would recommend ordering 2-3 if having as a meal; otherwise, try one as a side of another food truck dish.

My family and I were at Jack London Square in Oakland this past Sunday for the Dia de Los Muertos event. There's a regular Sunday Farmer's Market that is held there as well. I was feeling a little hungry and decided to check out what was available. As I walked around, I came across one of the few booths selling food. Being a fan of empanadas, I decided to see what CTK Empanadas was all about. What an offering of empanadas! The woman who was selling the empanadas was very friendly and helpful, and had recommended the Butter Chicken over the regular chicken empanada. I decided to go with the Breakfast Empanada with egg, potatoes, and bacon, and the Butter Chicken Empanada. Each was $6.00 which was a pretty reasonable price for a good sized empanada. These empanadas were awesome! The crust was firm, but not too soft, filled with delicious fillings, each one seasoned well. I asked her if they had an actual brick and mortar place and she shared with me that it is in San Francisco on Market Street. The next time we're in SF, I'm going to make it a point to visit and try some of the other empanadas they offer!

"I first found out about Nucha Empanada at the SOMA Food Truck event. Nucha offers many different flavored empanadas (sweet and savory), some of the favorites are the ham and cheese, corn and peppers, mushroom, spicy beef, onions, and cheese. Some of the sweet flavors include pineapple, apple, peach cobbler, and blueberry. The empanadas are shaped like big, fried, crispy potstickers. I ordered the apple and the spicy beef which were both very delicious! My spicy beef came with a small sample of green sauce to put on it, but honestly, I didn't even need the sauce. The empanadas tasted great just warmed up and was very filling. I plan to try more of their empanadas and come out of my comfort zone to try out flavors I normally wouldn't. The prices are a little steep coming at $4. When I want to treat myself to a $4 empanada, i'll come to Nucha's!"

"Chill Spot is right around the corner from my place, and I can tell right now, it's going to be a regular on my neighborhood rounds! Stopped in yesterday to just pick up a small Rocky Road ice cream for a friend. The owner, Maggie, was a delight. Not only does this place have ice cream, but they also have some great lunch items and a fabulous back room for community activities. I'm definitely dropping in for the Gratitude Meditation on Sunday. Even if it's a little cold to be thinking ice cream right now, Chill Spot offers a lot more. If you're in the neighborhood, stop by. Maggie makes you feel like you've just met your new best friend! (P.S. Did I mention all the ice creams are home made?)"

"I've been to Spark several times and never actually noticed that there was an empanada spot until I discovered it! Nucha Empanadas is tucked away within the food truck park as a small stall with an assortment of diverse empanadas that cater to a diverse palate.I ordered the:- Traditional Beef Empanadawhich consists of organic ground beef, onions, green onions, raisins, sugar, spices & green olives. The meat was incredibly flavorful and the empanada was well stuffed. One thing to note though is that the empanadas are a bit pricey, granted many spots at Spark Social are a bit pricier. One empanada will be $5.75 so just keep that in mind. That being said, the one i did have was very delicious!"
