"After a long hike in Pacifica, I was crazing a fat delicious sandwich. Found this hole in the wall on yelp and pulled up to a liquor store. I was so confused to see a sandwich station right in the middle of the liquor aisles. I got a spicy mama and it hit the spot. Packed with so much flavor and was super filling. The pesto on it too was so fresh, almost like a chimichurri. They had a great selection of chips to go along side with it too."
"Told my friends I wanted to experience SF sandwich culture and they brought me to this lil bodega nearby. We ordered a "giant" and it was HUGE. The online ordering is really convenient which makes this place perfect for a lunch time pick up spot! Sandwiches were tasty and they aren't stingy with the fillings and toppings."
"All Boar's Head deli meats and cheeses - great sandwiches, huge portions and fast and friendly service!"
"I stopped in and got the Charli Special: mortadella, ham, salami, and cheese. This sandwich was 10/10 of delicious and everything I had hoped for. The deli portion is open until 11pm, so great late night spot!"
"I passed two convenience stores that were closed at 10:15 on Saturday night. After COVID, stores still roll up that early?Luckily New Star-Ell was open otherwise I would've been repeatedly tripped by two stampeding cats wanting canned food. After quickly choosing my items, I got literally shoved aside by two slightly drunken twenty-something bruhs who high five'd each other they thought to buy little airline-sized bottles of liquor; I was in the way. Duuuude! The store's cat food and wine selection were fairly priced. I chose an interesting bottle of Pinot, paid and went on my way.Polite staff, clean, well-stocked. Recommend."
"I was unfamiliar with the area and was just looking for a sandwich to go. It took a while, but I stumbled upon Eddy's Food Store. It was a great find. They area under new ownership and they're doing a great job. I was there for a sandwich, but they have various grocery items, liquor, household items, etc. They even have. bitcoin machine. I've never seen one before. If you wanna' see one or buy some bitcoin, you can get it at Eddy's. While I was there several people came in for lotto tickets. Back to the sandwich. I had the Santorini turkey sandwich. $9.99. It was excellent. It was about the same price as a Subway sandwich but way tastier and way better! I loved every bite! They also have started serving breakfast sandwiches. I you're in the area and want a great sandwich, go check out Eddy's! It's always nice to support locally owned small businesses."
"Just had one of the best affordable cheeseburgers I've ever had delivered. Came with steak fries and everything was very satisfying."

Ordered the Italiano Sandwich and it was yummy but not amazing. I personally think it was missing a sauce to make it special even though I added garlic and jalapeños for a kick. I've ordered from here a couple other times and it's always good.

I'm a huge fan of this place and have been going for years. Looks like a little bodega but it is a true hidden gem. They never leave you hungry with their sandwiches and they have great hummus and baba. What you should get each time you go: Falafel wrap, mission #1, regular cold cut turkey sandwich with rays mix, then Bernal heights. All others are good too but those are my favorite in order. You can also get sandwiches "giant" which doubles the size for a truly massive Sandwich. When finishing school I would get 1 giant cold cut Turkey sandwich and it would last me every meal of the day. People sleep on rays and the guys always are friendly and chill. Couldn't ask for more in a neighborhood market and sandwiches

3.5 stars overall but rounding up for a mom and pop market/deli with friendly owners- come support your local business! It wasn't crowded when I stopped by at 3:45pm on a Saturday; however, there were a few walk-ins, and I would recommend calling in your sandwich/deli order ahead of time to avoid a wait. I had called in earlier and was quoted a 10 minute wait at that time. My sandwich was ready when I arrived, and I decided to stick to a classic, the Hot Pastrami Sandwich ($10.49 + $1 Cheddar, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=d6fTpeVczvhufxGbfF5mlQ&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg). It was great on Dutch Crunch, and the combination of ingredients worked well together. In addition to sandwiches and the classic deli sides, they have a wide variety of chips available as well as other grocery store basics and Lotto. They do not have an indoor or outdoor seating area, but there was hand sanitizer at the cashier. Parking will be the toughest part about stopping by New College Hill Market, since street parking spots were very limited.

I love this place. The owner is very caring and friendly. All ingredients were fresh and sandwiches were made on the spot. Store had a lot of choices for snacks and drinks. Parking was available and sandwich was warm and delicious. Definitely is one of my favorite delis in SF.

New Star-Ell is an anchor of the neighborhood. Joven is the man. He deals with so much craziness coming in and out every night and he keeps a cool head.

This place is a hidden gem! I've passed by many times before but never tried their sandwiches. I ordered the Ed, Edd, and Eddy, Santorini, and Cousin Vinnie all on dutch crunch. They were all delicious and had a good meat to bread ratio with all the fixings, but my favorite was probably the Ed, Edd, and Eddy. Just as good as other popular sandwich places like marina subs but a much better value. The owner was super nice and made the sandwiches to order so it took about 15 minutes but I didn't mind the wait. My only complaint was that the sandwiches that were supposed to have avocado didn't have them. I noticed on my receipt that the owner took a dollar off the total which was nice since there wasn't avocado but I wish I had known. Not too big of a deal though I would still go back.

I have been having trouble securing grocery delivery through both Instacart and Whole Foods so I headed down to Cortland to pick up a few things. There was a decent-sized line at Good Life that I didn't have time to wait in so I headed down to Andi's Market hoping they might carry a couple items that could tide me over until my next shopping trip. I was surprised to find no line at the store and absolutely every single thing I needed. I bought fresh veggies, herbs, cheese, almond milk, coffee creamer, fruit juice, tortillas, bread, dark chocolate, canned goods, pasta, sauces, bread flour, coffee, frozen foods, paper towels and much more. I filled 3 and a 1/2 baskets. On top of that, they were so very kind and helpful, even carrying the groceries to my car for me. I'm really glad that I went there. Thought some of you might find this information to be useful when planning your next shopping excursion.Thank you, Andi's Market!

"I came here specifically for the bistro bot sandwich machine. I first heard about it on bernalwood.com, the bernal heights neighborhood website. I live about 5 blocks away so I walked. The bistro bot machine is pretty cool and costs $2. I'm going to be honest here and say that there's nothing special about the sandwich itself. I just found the whole machine pretty amazing. The $2 allows you to pick two toppings. I stuck to the classic pb and j. The cashier who helped me was helpful in answering my questions about the machine too.I would probably come back again...if I decide to walk up they steep hill to Cortland."
"It's like a carwash... with snacks! This spot really puts the CONVENIENCE in convenience store. Just DRIVE THRU the store and be on your way, without ever having to unbuckle the baby from the car seat :) Love the service with a smile from the new owners (ok not so new, they've been operating Good N Rich Dairy since at least Sept 2014). As of 3 days ago, they're open from 10am to 10pm. This corner store has everything from milk to alcohol, Flamin Hot Cheetos to Fiber One bars. Goodies are located on both the driver and passenger side, so peruse with your windows down. Don't forget to slide back your sunroof and look up - there's hella dope Bay apparel hanging up there. If you can't find what you're looking for from inside your car (Arnold Palmer in a can), the super helpful clerk is knowledgable with what's on hand. He'll grab it for you, ring you up from the register on the passenger side, and you drive away with your treats. And a smile. Thanks GNRD!"
"I love the name of this place. It's as if they decided that by eliminating the extraneous letters in "quick' they've expedited the reading process somehow. Genius. I can just see people driving down Monterey Blvd. looking for somewhere to stop but, gosh darn it, SO MANY LETTERS! When all of a sudden, Kwik and Convenient appears like an oasis. Cue parting clouds and ray of sunlight. They even have a parking lot.I've only been here a couple of times but everytime it's only to buy shit like beer or Rockstar. I guess that what places like these are for. I doubt there are people coming here to shop for Thanksgiving dinner. Unless of course they're serving beer and Rockstar.Maybe next time I'll buy a du-rag and a gold chain with a pot leaf on it (both of which are available at the counter)"
"This place is rad! I stumbled upon it while heading to the 24-hour Safeway for booze on the way home from work. I get out at midnight in the East Bay so there's never anything open when I want to pick up something to take home. The place gas a great selection (although no vegan ice cream?!) but great booze selection! I'm stoked to have stumbled upon this gem!"
"Good for folks who need to get the monthly discount muni pass but can't make it to the main office in Van Ness & Market. Only issue is that this shop is now closed on Thursdays & the location is way out in the outer sunset."
"New neighborhood gem! We've been missing a solid deli!! The sandwiches are HUGE, and they've got all the classics! Fav thing about this market - they have allll the spices - Mexican, middle eastern... you name it, and fairly priced. Very happy, I'm a fan."
"I have a huge soft spot for KD's Liquor. Many a drunken night I have been there when I needed to fulfill my sweet tooth. It's also right on the way home from a bad day when I need some wine. Now, you people that frequent Casto must have seen it and have probably been there at least once. Right on the corner on Castro and Market this is the most convenient place to stop by if you are on your way home drunk and need some munchies or perhaps you get off at the station and just need to pick up some wine on the way home. KD's actually has quite a selection of things for a convenience store and really everyone there is super nice. That is even more amazing when you think of all the drunk people that show up there (I have seen you and maybe been one!)."
"W-K Market had groceries, snacks, all neatly organized, sodas, beers, mostly priced. long aisles, just 2 lanes. narrow store. showed clerk my burrito bag as i entered. asked?: "did i need to check it in?"
