I was so confused to see a sandwich station right in the middle of the liquor aisles. I got a spicy mama and it hit the spot. Packed with so much flavor and was super filling. The pesto on it too was so fresh, almost like a chimichurri. They had a great selection of chips to go along side with it too."

After COVID, stores still roll up that early?Luckily New Star-Ell was open otherwise I would've been repeatedly tripped by two stampeding cats wanting canned food.After quickly choosing my items, I got literally shoved aside by two slightly drunken twenty-something bruhs who high five'd each other they thought to buy little airline-sized bottles of liquor; I was in the way. Duuuude!The store's cat food and wine selection were fairly priced. I chose an interesting bottle of Pinot, paid and went on my way.Polite staff, clean, well-stocked. Recommend."

"I was unfamiliar with the area and was just looking for a sandwich to go. It took a while, but I stumbled upon Eddy's Food Store. It was a great find. They area under new ownership and they're doing a great job. I was there for a sandwich, but they have various grocery items, liquor, household items, etc. They even have. bitcoin machine. I've never seen one before. If you wanna' see one or buy some bitcoin, you can get it at Eddy's. While I was there several people came in for lotto tickets. Back to the sandwich. I had the Santorini turkey sandwich. $9.99. It was excellent. It was about the same price as a Subway sandwich but way tastier and way better! I loved every bite!They also have started serving breakfast sandwiches. I you're in the area and want a great sandwich, go check out Eddy's! It's always nice to support locally owned small businesses."

"I came here specifically for the bistro bot sandwich machine. I first heard about it on bernalwood.com, the bernal heights neighborhood website. I live about 5 blocks away so I walked. The bistro bot machine is pretty cool and costs $2. I'm going to be honest here and say that there's nothing special about the sandwich itself. I just found the whole machine pretty amazing. The $2 allows you to pick two toppings. I stuck to the classic pb and j. The cashier who helped me was helpful in answering my questions about the machine too.I would probably come back again...if I decide to walk up they steep hill to Cortland."

"It's like a carwash... with snacks! This spot really puts the CONVENIENCE in convenience store. Just DRIVE THRU the store and be on your way, without ever having to unbuckle the baby from the car seat :) Love the service with a smile from the new owners (ok not so new, they've been operating Good N Rich Dairy since at least Sept 2014). As of 3 days ago, they're open from 10am to 10pm. This corner store has everything from milk to alcohol, Flamin Hot Cheetos to Fiber One bars. Goodies are located on both the driver and passenger side, so peruse with your windows down. Don't forget to slide back your sunroof and look up - there's hella dope Bay apparel hanging up there. If you can't find what you're looking for from inside your car (Arnold Palmer in a can), the super helpful clerk is knowledgable with what's on hand. He'll grab it for you, ring you up from the register on the passenger side, and you drive away with your treats. And a smile. Thanks GNRD!"

"I love the name of this place. It's as if they decided that by eliminating the extraneous letters in "quick' they've expedited the reading process somehow. Genius. I can just see people driving down Monterey Blvd. looking for somewhere to stop but, gosh darn it, SO MANY LETTERS! When all of a sudden, Kwik and Convenient appears like an oasis. Cue parting clouds and ray of sunlight. They even have a parking lot.I've only been here a couple of times but everytime it's only to buy shit like beer or Rockstar. I guess that what places like these are for. I doubt there are people coming here to shop for Thanksgiving dinner. Unless of course they're serving beer and Rockstar.Maybe next time I'll buy a du-rag and a gold chain with a pot leaf on it (both of which are available at the counter)"

I get out at midnight in the East Bay so there's never anything open when I want to pick up something to take home. "I have a huge soft spot for KD's Liquor. Many a drunken night I have been there when I needed to fulfill my sweet tooth. It's also right on the way home from a bad day when I need some wine. Now, you people that frequent Casto must have seen it and have probably been there at least once. Right on the corner on Castro and Market this is the most convenient place to stop by if you are on your way home drunk and need some munchies or perhaps you get off at the station and just need to pick up some wine on the way home. KD's actually has quite a selection of things for a convenience store and really everyone there is super nice. That is even more amazing when you think of all the drunk people that show up there (I have seen you and maybe been one!)."
