Reasonably priced and quality boba tea in SF.There wasn't a line when we visited so we didn't wait long for our drinks. There was available adjustments to the ice and sugar levels. I personally found the drinks to be tea centric so it wasn't too sweet. While I usually get my drinks at 25% sweetness, 50% was ideal.*Wintermelon Fruit Tea: greater emphasis on the wintermelon. There was a citrusy after taste but it mostly had a naturally sweet and earthy profile. I added aloe to my drink which gave it some more sweetness and texture. Overall, it tasted more tea forward which I prefer.*Caramel Milk Tea: one of the best caramel milk teas I've tried. There was almost a coffee, smokey richness to this drink. It's not overly sweet or artificial tasting like other renditions. Similarly, the tea was front and center which complemented the toasty notes.A good pit stop when in strolling around Chinatown. I probably will try more of their milk teas when I return as they seemed more memorable than the fruit options.

Boba- 6/10 bobas were hard asf and way way too chewy for my preference.Drink- 7/10 brown sugar milk tea- drink is alright. I've had better brown sugar milk teas.Service- 1/10 not a fan of their service. I asked how long ago has the bobas been made and they gave each other a look and then looked at me and said uh they're fresh 2 hrs ago... I'm like ok.. idky they had to give me weird vibes. when I tried the bobas they were hard asf. I told them I want the bobas dumped out bc they're hard and they were like huh?? The bobas are hard? As if they were confused. I said yes... they are very dense and not soft. They took it and gave me another one without saying anything else to me. WtfCost- 7/10 $6.75 in total with boba. I guess the price is alright for the location.

This place is a very cute hole in the wall in Chinatown. I stumbled upon it one time and have come back every time I'm in Chinatown. I like that it's not a franchise so it's like a place you have to try if you're in sf. Can be a little hard to find since you go down an alley way that looks a little sketch.Food:4/5 Litchi rose tea drink: I like how i can taste the rose in this tea and it's not too overpowering and the lychee taste compliments the rose very well. 5/5 taiwan milk tea: I thought the taiwan milk tea was very yummy. nice and creamy and I had it for later and still retained a lot of flavor. Service: Service is quick. I never have to wait. Ambiance: There's only a few tables to sit at. This place feels more like a grab and go rather than sit down place. They have some cute decor and art that is heavily Asian inspired. You can even tell from their cups as well.

We got this recently for work, and I was very pleasantly surprised. I got a basic black milk tea. Even though it had been sitting out for a while with most of the ice melted, it still maintained a solid creaminess mixed with the strong tea flavor. The pearls also didn't firm up to a point of toughness, but still had a nice chew and bounciness to them. I got 50% sweetness, and it was actually a perfect sweetness level (I typically order 25%). Definitely a solid spot, will stop by in person next time I'm in Chinatown!

In the heart of Chinatown, By Me Boba Tea is located in a slightly hidden alleyway, yet its still easily accessible and public to the community roaming around. On a Saturday afternoon, I was greeted in a friendly manner by the cashier, as no one else was currently in the boba shop that could seat around 20 people. Since it was my friend and I's first time, we had to try classics. We ordered a Hong Kong Style Milk Tea with Cheese Foam and Boba and an Original Taiwan Milk Tea with Boba. The drinks came out in a timely manner, and we both tried each others' drinks. I enjoyed both of them! While the Original Taiwan Milk Tea had a good balance of milk and tea, the Hong Kong Style Milk Tea was more coffee in nature, but still had a good balance of all components. These cheese foam had its usual texture, and the boba was chewy!I'd love to come visit this boba place again soon!

Overall, By Me got the job done but was not impressive. I had the Red Bean Grass Jelly and Wintermelon Latte with boba. The Red Bean Grass Jelly was solid, but the Wintermelon tea didn't have the prominent flavor I was looking for and the boba was slightly hard in the middle... :(

Boba in Chinatown, lets get "milky!"Located in San Fran's historic Ross Alley this bubble tea cafe is loaded with scents, flavors and sensational service. Classic Milk Tea, Specialities like the Peach or Mango Coconut, Lattes, Slushies and traditional teas. So many options for all.Non-dairy lovers can always opt for a good fruit tea and at BMBT sky's the limit. That Oolong tea/jasmine green tea with your choice of signature fruit or one of many is just the perfect fix. A large Mango was incredibly yummy, perfect amount of chunks, great blend, and a great space to enjoy it in. You can extra toppings like boba, aloe vera, jellies, lychee and more for less than a dollar and all the prices for regular/medium and/or large are beyond reasonable.By Me Boba has some tables and chairs, high bar seating on the left and two benches just outside than main entrance for you to enjoy and unwind.I even noticed as well as used some visible outlets to plug in at - charging my phone for a bit with my friend Dan who showed me to this great gem. It's got a very modern style with some nods to old Chinatown hidden throughout. Lots of plant life, images, art and nothing but great energy.Dreaming about more By Me Boba Tea.Cash preferred - that's US not yen or yuans like Dan joked lol, but that be pretty cool too #SupportSmall #SupportLocal #SupportBoba

Stopped by here for boba. Ordered the Thai milk tea, signature fruit tea and strawberry slushy. Thai milk tea was ok and my kid wanted double boba which he got. The signature fruit tea is like your standard fruit tea, had apple, orange and lemon slices as well as passion fruit seeds and a couple pieces of pineapple. I had ordered it 50% sweet and with boba. Not sure if it was 50% sweet as the drink was pretty sweet. The boba I ordered did not come in the drink, wasn't sure whether she heard me ask for boba or not. The same the strawberry slushy, missing the boba. It was pretty much a one person operation so I didn't go ask about it. Drinks were ok, will need to go back an give them another chance.

Found this cute little place after getting dim sum and it didn't quite hit the craving. Got a regular milk tea and the tea part was pretty decent but they used a lot of creamer instead of milk which I don't love. It wasn't bad because I could at least taste the tea flavor but just not what I expected.

The 3 stars is just for the drink I tried: the Mango tea with 25% sweetness and boba. It was ok but for $6.70, I wanted it to be more than ok. I thought the tea was lacking flavor, and the boba was too firm for my liking. I got a round of boba for some friends and they seemed to enjoy it but I can't rate for them. Maybe I'll stick with a milk tea next time. In all, I ordered 6 drinks all medium/regular size and all with boba. It was $45.
