I love this corner market out of all the others in the TL. It's always clean and the staff is super friendly with a smile. The deli in the back is full of homemade kinds of pasta, salads, and great sandwiches I highly recommend this place for all your grocery needs if your close to it.

Since so few businesses operate in San Francisco, if the Bread and Butter did not exist the disabled and elderly in the area would have no deli, ir hot food. Nicest people in SF,. All Professional and have gone out of the way to treat my Elderly Mum, now passed & myself with the more respect than any " Professional " in San Francisco. They actually do hard work as well, rather than hire people who treat service & being paid to work as a Right, they hire people who have a solid Work Ethic. All in All, A +++++ , in every aspect possible. Best Deli in San Francisco as they actually serve what you ask for. Food os prepared fresh daily, the store provides all needs. Couldn't live you All! Great memories for over twenty years. They actually improved the Neighborhood unlike 98% of Tenderloin " Businesses " that exist to solely exploit people Bless the Bread & Butter & Everyone Involved with it! You know who are are! The Best without the nonsense!

When I find something I like, I stick to it. Im in town for 4 days, and I was craving a sandwich. Across from B&B is Ike's. I kind of wanted to avoid a chain, so I went here instead. Glad I did. It appears that this is a family run business. I went to the back where the deli was. This is similar to you big chain deli departments. I opted for a 2 meat sandwich (roast beef and salami) with cheese, on sourdough (it is San Francisco, so you gotta get sourdough). This was a good size and very filling sandwich. I was pleased. I decided to come back 2 days later for a breakfast sandwich. Again, it hit the spot. Steak & Egg, on an onion bagel. Everything is prepared fresh and everyone in the store was nice. I didnt get over charged on my purchase, as previous reviewers suggested they did. I highly recommend this place.

I enjoy stopping by here when I'm craving a baked good at night. Highly recommend the baklava and the apple cinnamon muffins

food is ok, decent selection of products, service is good if there is something you want that they don't have usually they will get it if you request it. ambiance is friendly, and tolerant of different lifestyles. only downside are the prices it is considerably more expensive than surrounding stores. A pint of Ben and Jerry's will cost you around $8.50-$9.00 while just down the street at Stop and Save it's only $5.00. its a family run store, very friendly staff that is trying to survive like the rest of us. they do have a grill and Deli in the back, good sandwiches even better breakfast menu. again a little pricey but but good.

fresh late night deli sammies! nice folks here. lil cafe area to eat and accept apple pay. also have sweet treats at the front like donuts muffins cookies etc

Ever since I moved down the street. I found a friendly Deli! The sandwiches are made with love. The ambience is calm and positive. The Owner has become my friend.

Absolutely great little deli! The cold food selection is impressive and the hot foods are always made perfectly, plus there's all the common little groceries you might need. The staff are very friendly and the service is always excellent. Highly recommend to everyone

I come here all the time, I love their hot pastrami sandwich! I honestly haven't tried anything else other than the pastrami sandwich but all the salads & the kebabs look so good I'll definitely have to try sometime. They also accept EBT for hot food which is really nice!
