Yum!! The inside is small but we didn't wait too long for seats - there's quite a few tables for 2s and 4s, the wait might be longer for a larger group.Food came out fast! Lost one star from me when the curry puffs came out not hot, but everything else was piping hot. My favorite was the assorted buns - especially the custard filled and egg yolk filled ones! The chicken wings were also the Most Ginormous wings ever.

somehow worth the pricestopped by here for some dinner time dim sum and was not disappointed. I punched in a quick reservation on yelp before heading over and we were seated right away. they did all the classics well - shrimp dumplings, XLB, shumai. we also tried their beef chow fun, sizzling steak, and snow pea leaves which were delicious. the only thing I didn't like was the fried chinese doughnut with shrimp which was smothered in sriracha mayo, which is not my cup of tea. we ended up ordering a lot of food and ended up paying a hefty bill, but it was very delicious and satisfying. considering the lack of other good dim sum options in the area, this place is a decent spot to hit up especially if you want something good. service was great and fast. plus it is an open kitchen so you can watch them make the food in front of you.

Made reservations via their website. At 5:30pm, there were still quite a few tables open; however, at around 6pm, the place filled pretty quickly and stayed busy until about 8pm.Staff were friendly. They checked on us often and kept our water glasses full. Didn't rush us out when we were done.We ordered quite a few items: Xiao Long Baos, spicy wonton, baked truffle beef bao, Westlake soup, chicken potstickers, kimchi beef potstickers, pan fried turnip cake, and based custard buns. The truffle bao was light and not dense like I thought it would be. I liked the crunchy top of the custard buns. Everything was good. Some items may be a bit pricey for what it is in comparison to other places. Nothing in particular stood out, but glad to have given Bao a try.

Came by for lunch the other day and it was a tasty experience. Parking is available on the street or in nearby city owned garages and/or surface lots. Dining is available indoors exclusively.Upon arrival, the host brought us to our table and presented us with a tablet to submit our order. Bao seems to be a Cantonese dim sum spot with small plates that are made to order.Started off with the stir-fried pea shoots and they were excellent, albeit a touch oily. Flavor was on point. Portions were decent. The salt and pepper calamari was also tasty. Lightly fried although the calamari was slightly chewy. The spicy wontons were quite tasty. Freshly made wontons served with some hot sauce. The baked BBQ buns were also decent. The bbq pork was flavorful and plentiful. I loved how thin the bbq pork breading was.The shrimp toast was rather lacklustre as it may have been a frozen dough stick refried with some shrimp paste.~$40/head after tax and gratuity for lunch with plenty of leftovers.

A relatively new Chinese restaurant located in downtown Redwood City. The blaring music added an interesting vibe, but it might not be for everyone. We ordered the pork xiao long bao, baked BBQ pork bao, baked curry chicken puff, golden fried rice, and beef chow fun. Unfortunately, the pork xiao long bao was disappointing--small, not juicy. The baked curry puff was the standout of the meal, with a flaky crust and flavorful filling. The pork bao was also decent. The golden fried rice was bland and underwhelming, while the beef chow fun was subpar and didn't stand out compared to other options in the area. While the food was pricey, it's somewhat expected for a restaurant in downtown Redwood City. Service was friendly and attentive.

The place has opened recently in Redwood City! We went for lunch on Jan 2nd and were seated within 3-4 minutes. The service is really quick and servers are politeFood was pretty good. We tried the pork xlb- this was alright, maybe a 3/5. Also got the chicken pot stickers- 5/5, wonton tom yum soup was good - 4/5 and pork baos - these were delicious 5/5. They serve everything with this chilli oil mix which is delicious- we asked for extra! To wrap up the lunch we ordered the egg tart which my husband loves and said was up to the mark. The items were very well priced and felt completely worth the money. Overall, a great place, we'll definitely be back.

Another great addition to downtown! We grabbed dinner here before the movies. Parking is pretty easy to find in Redwood City due to all the parking lots / garages. We came on a Sunday night and was seated immediately, the place was more than 90% full. The decor was a mixture between modern and traditional. It was really clean inside. You place your order on an iPad and flag the staff down before sending the order to the kitchen. All the photos from the iPad helped with our decision making. Service was nice and attentive. The food was brought out shortly after we ordered. Food - first off I loved that the soups come in personal sizes so my partner and I were able to get our own. He got the West Lake soup (3.5/5), he said it was a bit bland. I got the hot and sour w/ wonton (4.5/5), the soup had great flavors and a spicy aftertaste. The wontons were delicious and I loved how thin the skin was. We also order the crab xiao long bao (soup dumplings) 3.5/5, you're not able to taste the crab much but more so only the pork. The skin was good and the soup inside was really light and clean. Pine nut chicken lettuce cups 4/5. Love the flavors of it, but the dish itself was too messy and hard to eat.

A bright and welcoming space in downtown RWC. Being a Friday night, we had reservations and we're seated promptly even though we were ~10 min early. The tables are placed close together which could be challenging for large groups. You order from a tablet that has the menu, and the server confirms your selection before you can place your order. We got a variety of dumplings, hot & sour soup and the Singapore seafood noodles. They also have a variety of pot stickers, fried dumplings (some crafted to look like birds), Bao in various shapes which we will look forward to trying another time. They also had some vegetarian options which we didn't have a chance to check out. Among the dumplings, the Shanghai Xiao Long Bao (soup dumpling) was a favorite! We also got a variety of steamed dumplings, the shrimp ones being favorites here, making it easier to sample different types among the two of us. The seafood was fresh and tasted great, the dumpling skin thin and translucent to make every bite a delight. The hot and sour wonton soup lived up to it's name. The Singapore seafood noodles were well flavored with a generous portion of seafood, but I'll stick to the dumpling variety the next time I visit. The service was friendly and attentive with regular water refills and help when we wanted to pack our leftovers into a box - this one aspect upped the service a notch in my book. The dumplings are bite sized, so yes, it can all add up, but well worth it, in my book!
