Delicious fresh food. Always great tasting and high quality. Cool vibes on the back deck in the dogpatch! Definitely try the queso empanadas and Lomo Saltado...best I ever had!

FOOD albóndigas meatballs were good. They give you a lot of sauce to go with the meatballs. I wish the plantains were in a separate container otherwise they get soggy and don't stay as sweet. However it all was yummy! INSIDE is shared with a plant based restaurant. Walk in and order from the counter on the left. They have indoor and some outdoor seating in the back with free WiFi internet. I saw people with their laptops working and eating. They were playing good Latin salsa music. I would come back here.

My favorite lunch spot! When I first found this place I used to eat here once a week! I've tried just about everything but my go-to dishes are the Shrimp Anticuchos and the empanadas. I love that you can mix and match the empanadas and I also love that the food is consistent. It has the same delicious flavor every time. The staff here is so nice and welcoming and the ambiance is so relaxing. On a side note, I've also bought three plants from here and they are literally thriving.

The good points are about the service and the food itself. Everybody is super friendly and accommodating, and the wine pours are fantastic. Opt for the Malbec from Argentina and the Cabernet from California if you drink wine. We started with the amazing empanadas. I got the chicken flavored and the beef flavored. The chicken flavor was divine with the yellow Peruvian sauce. It's always such a delight to have that sauce. I ended up with the Lomo Saltado, one of the best Lomo Saltado's I've ever had. The meat was cooked perfectly, and the peppers and onions were delicious with the soy sauce glaze and rice. My husband got the Chancho Braseado, a Cuban-style dish with corn and beans. It was really good! First time I've had it.Be forewarned that this place is pricy! I don't think it deserves five stars because while the food is excellent, they need to develop a better ambiance than just a coffee shop by day with couches and light wooden tables by night. I understand it's in the Plant coffee shop, but they need to upgrade their furniture for fine dining; everything looks like mismatched Ikea. We will be back for sure, but I hope the prices go down or the furniture is upgraded.

Came here on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch with no wait! Good:- The best lomo saltado I've ever had - so much flavor and huge portion sizes - it looked simple but packs such a punch - The samosas here were also great and crunchy - The matcha latter here was really good too - not too sweet Bad: - Takes a while for the food to come out- Pretty casual service place, it's in the same place as Plant Cafe so hard to findOverall this place was a great casual lunch spot!

I was in the mood for bread pudding and bread pudding only so I came across this place but never again. That was literally thee worst bread pudding, I've ever had. It was extremely dry and tasted stale. I immediately spit it out and threw it away. What's even worst.. I bought 2 before ever trying this place. Damn.. presentation was nice though.

Ordered a cubano with a side of slaw. The pulled pork had very little flavor. The pickles were just cucumbers that might have walked past vinegar but declined to partake. The mustard was yellowish, but tasted like mayo. The bread was warm I guess but not toasted let alone pressed and grilled. The ham and Swiss were inoffensive. The slaw was nearly flavorless--no salt, no acid, just cabbage and other rough chopped veggies with some heat on it. Cashier was very nice. 17 bucks plus tip (plus "upgrade" for the slaw).

Artesano, along 3rd Street (a bit south of THe Chase Center) in the Dogpatch neighborhood, is co-located with The Plant Cafe. Parking is tough along this corridor but that's the way it goes. They describe themselves as Brazilian/Latin cuisine. When I realized Artesano had Peruvian fare - game on! There is sunny, bright seating inside and outside but it looks looks like they do takeout very well. Ed helped me with my Lomo Saltado order and was very nice and answered all my questions. Ordered takeout of Lomo Saltado w/steak strips. Traditional stir fry with red onion, tomatoes, cilantro, soy sauce and house-made papas fritas; served with a side of Brazilian rice (Make with gluten-free soy sauce for $1.50). I liked it though it seems a tad dry but the flavors were all there and not overly salty. Rice freshly steamed was a good accompaniment to the stir fried Lomo Saltado. They also offer Lomo Saltado options like chicken, wild shrimp, combo steak/shrimp and tofu. The tofu Lomo Saltado is a great meatless option. So excited about finding Lomo Saltado that I forgot to order the ceviche. Peruvian ceviche is a must order for me with the fresh seafood and it's usually house marinated served with plantain or tortilla chips. They do options of red snapper, Wild shrimp, micro or all three. Will definitely remember to order this next time! Artesano has an extensive Latin menu I will be back to try!

Perfect brunch spot in Dogpatch to enjoy the sun in San Francisco!O R D E R E D· Lomo Saltado· Red Snapper Ceviche· Empanadas [chicken and cheese]· Pao De Quejo· Yucca Fries· Fried Plantain Chips· Mango Orange Agua Fresca [OH MY GOD - THE BEST!]V E R D I C TYou can't go wrong with anything here, everything from the minute you walk-in to the minute your food arrives is so colorful and vibrant! I love their outdoor patio area - perfect to catch some vitamin-d and if it's too sunny, they have umbrellas for some shade.I literally wanted to order everything from their menu because Peruvian food is one of my favorites, but since it was lunch time, I didn't want to go overboard so I ordered the following listed above. We can drink their mango orange all day long! It was so refreshing and flavorful and now I want another one just thinking about it. The lomo is so tender and its the staple item at any Peruvian restaurant so I had to order it to try for myself. I can never say no to ceviche, esp the red snapper as I'm a bigger fan of white fish. The appetizers and sides all hit the spot. Their menu introduces flavorful vegetarian dishes and most items on the menu are GLUTEN-FREE.Parking on the weekend is pretty easy and convenient right on the main street, you can even walk here if it's sunny enough. It's so close to the Warriors Chase Center / Mission Bay, just 1/2 mile south.
