Noodles! Garlic Noodles! Or as the truck calls them .... Noodes. Or there's a food called Noodes?Does An the Go mean On The Go? These are deep philosophical questions, discuss. An The Go truck serves up Vietnamese, Savory, Asian Fusion, Noodles, Vegetarian, but just get the garlic noodles/ Noodes. Enjoy

Tried them out when they stopped by our office this week for lunch and it met expectations. I wasn't sure having read reviews on Yelp but was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the garlic noodles with yuzu shrimp. The shrimp was fresh and the noodles had just the right amount of garlic without being overly buttery. Price was also right at $12. It's nice to not have to pay $18 for a food truck lunch.

Damn!!! Their garlic noodles were on point! There's no way that the noodles weren't fresh or something, because they were fire! Whatever they did, the texture was perfect, the flavor was infused all the way through and it was literally to die for. Now I need to hunt their truck down this weekend to get more. I regretted not ordering an extra box of noodles to go before I left Off the Grid in SF last night! I'll be back for sure.

Got excited when I saw garlic noodles. I'm a huge noodle fan and was eager to try it out! I ordered the Garlic Noodle Combo with five spice pork, veggie stirfry and Vietnamese Crispy Rolls. Food came out quickly and the guy managing orders was very friendly. Now for the food:- Garlic noodles: nicely flavored, chewy, generous portion (4/5)- Five spice pork: not very flavorful, could barely taste the five spice (2/5)- veggie stirfry: broccoli/cauliflower nicely flavored, tofu was bland (3/5)- Vietnamese crispy roll: TBH kind of bleh. it wasn't crispy at all, sauce could have used more punch.Given the price ($14 for the combo + tax) I'm not sure I'd be back again.

I needed some lunch today and realized it was food truck day near work! Well I've been hearing about An the Go for a while now and decided, sure why not and I just had a burrito yesterday so even though the lines at Tacos de los Altos was significantly longer, I stuck to my guns. The verdict? I should've had anything else but this, but hey now I know better. The noodles were over cooked, but had a nice little garlic tingle to them. The Five Spice Pork not dry, flavorful, but not remarkable. L O C A T I O NAn the Go is a food truck so you'll have to check out their schedule. I was able to catch them in San Ramon Bishop Ranch.P A R K I N GAgain depending on where you catch the truck. At Bishop Ranch there's plenty of parking as it's a business park. I didn't have to drive anywhere so convenient for me.M E N UThey basically serve garlic noodles with skewers. They have two different combos:~ Garlic noodles combo - $ 14 + tax ~Choose two meats/veggie- Lemongrass chicken- Yuzu shrimp- Vegetable stirfry- Five spice pork- Lemongrass beefChoose one side- Vietnamese crispy roll with dipping sauce- Dungeonous crab puff with mustard sauce~ Original combo - $9 + tax ~Choose one meat/veggie (same as above)Then they have sides same as the above but the crispy roll is $6 for 2 rolls, puffs are $6 as well. They do have a few drinks, Fiji water, diet coke...and another drink which I didn't capture.I ordered the original with five-spice pork as this was their best seller in terms of meat. The meat itself wasn't too shabby. Nice grilled taste, pork was not dry. The bed of garlic noodles on the other hand were the disappointment. They were overcooked and mushy. The garlic taste was prominent and it was oily but that was to be expected. If you don't want to have dragon breath for the rest of the day, you shouldn't have this otherwise, hey...embrace the garlic! I kind of wish they could do a side of veggies or something that can lighten up the dish. Even some cilantro would've probably helped the meal Heck even put the noodles on a romaine lettuce. There's just missing a crunchy textural element.S E R V I C ESince it's grilled fresh, it does take time. The lines are fairly long during noon so get there early. It took about half an hour to get through the line and get the food. The person at the window was at least cheery even though it was blistery hot. So that's a plus.O V E R A L LUnless you really love noodles or just want to try it out, then sure try An the Go. Otherwise, the only thing really going for it is the punny name. I will not be back.

For lunch at the BR1 food truck mafia, I got some noodles to go from An the Go. Its a food truck that specializes in garlic noodles with protein on the side. The owners are the same folks from Thanh Long and Crustacean - both upscale Vietnamese restaurants in SF that specialize in roasted crab. I haven't tried their garlic noodles in a long time, so seeing the truck brought back some fond memories of my carefree grad student days at Berkeley.I ordered the garlic noodles with a side of lemongrass chicken. Chicken was very flavorful and juicy. It had an odd texture at first and I thought it was ground chicken at first. In the end, I liked the chicken. Noodles were chewy, garlicky, and surprisingly very filling! I was almost tempted to get another item from Koja Kitchen, but thankfully I did not.

Great Vietnamese food. Garlic noodles so authentic and with pork. The Vietnamese coffee is a bit too sweetGreat variety of meats but this is so good. Thank god they come to SF city hall civic center on Fridays.
