Alora is a comfortable and calm place that is very well decorated with great service. We had evening reservations for around 6pm but it's not really needed, i do think this place deserves more traffic. It has beautiful views of the bay coupled with great service and flavorful food.Food:I don't have photos so I don't remember all the things I ordered, but everything we had was great and has potential to be shared. I think the kitchen does a great job of properly seasoning everything. The dessert we had was baklava and the fudge cake, recommended by the server, both very enjoyable. Service was knowledgeable about the food and helped us pick things based on our preferences :)

My husband and I came for a spontaneous dinner date on a Saturday evening and were able to get seated in their heated patio area which has nice views of the bay. It was also well covered and heated to a very comfortable temperature, which I love because I always run cold. The waitress was friendly and every item of food we got was very delicious; I filled up on the appetizers alone! We would like to come back again to try more of their menu items.

Location is great! It's on the pier with great views. They have outside seating too.We were inside and it has a cool vibe! Appetizers were the star of the show in my opinion. We had the hummus, ordered extra bread because it was that good and Brussels sprouts. Sprouts were crispy and tasty. Hummus was probably the best I've ever had, very fresh!Had the beet salad with the shrimp for lunch.

I'd totally give this restaurant another visit to try more of their meat options. Their drinks are top notch and servers are very attentive. Paid Parking is near the ferry building and it is well connected by the muni and close to Embarcadero bart station. Perfect for intimate date nights and to share appetizers. Their dips taste really fresh too! Def order their Muhamara

Wonderful food, service, and ambiance hands down. (5/5) F O O D * Alora Tasting ($40): sampler of 3 tasty dips served with crudite, marinated olives, and balloon lavash. Muhummara - the roasted red bell peppers with the pomegranate seeds and molasses was delicious and packed with so much flavor. Eggplant Duo - eggplant cooked very well with bell peppers, calabrian chile, and fresh herbs. Tahini Hummus - the chickpeas and tahini worked in with spices and peppers. All the dips paired well with the lavash. It absolutely got the taste buds going. (This was the highlight and would say is a must try.) * Agrodolce Sprouts ($15): if you love brussel sprouts this dish was crispy and sweet + sour in a surprisingly good way. (I would order this side again.) * Twice Cooked Golden Potatoes ($15): these roasted baby potatoes were simple but warm and comforting and complimented the main kebabs and skewers. * Izgara Aile Tarzi ($175): assortment of kebabs + skewers. This includes Ladolemono Chicken, Adana Kebab, Adobo Shrimp, Octopus Souvlaki, and Beef Tenderloin Shashlik. All were seasoned and cooked perfectly. (Adana Kebab was most memorable.)* Dessert: peach sorbet served with crushed pistachios and fruit mix (pomegranate, pears, grapes, etc.). Sorbet was delicious, refreshing, and creamy. I have to add that the staff was so sweet in serving this special made dessert since there was no dairy-free option. S E R V I C E The staff was warm and friendly upon checking in with reservations. (FYI, they have a 10 min grace period if you're running late.) They were attentive and very accommodating to my food allergy. They ensured dishes came out at a nice pace and checked in on the table often. Great attention to detail and have no complaints.A M B I A N C EClean and warm with art-deco vibes. This would make a perfect date spot (seating available waterside) or a special occasion dinner with loved ones.

Stopped in after a night at the Amador Club to grab takeout for mom and was blown away by both the food and service. The Flaked Beef Strip Loin Kebab was tender and perfectly seasoned. Their house-made pastas shine - the Spaghetti Chitarra had the perfect bite, while the Smoked Rabbit Cannelloni offered a unique twist on a classic. The Muhammara was silky smooth.Don't skip their bread selection - the Za'atar Flatbread and Turkish Balloon Lavash are absolutely addictive and perfect for scooping up the hummus. The Marinated Cucumber Salad provided a refreshing counterpoint to the richer dishes.Service was attentive. The staff clearly takes pride in their work and it shows in every detail. Prices are fair for the quality and portion sizes.Would I come back? Already planning my next visit. And maybe dine in.

I liked the ambience of this restaurant. Our reservation was at 7 PM. They were very accommodating on add-ons of our party. I thought the pricing for six at the end of the meal was not too bad for a birthday dinner. It seemed very affordable for the food and drinks that we were ordering. We thought that we could get out by 9 PM to head over to Dawn club which is a jazz bar, but the food actually took a little longer to make. I don't know if that was normal, but the food did come out too late and we had to rush out by nine. I don't know if it's cause we ordered slow. I'm not sure. I also parked across the street in street parking and on the meter I probably paid 6.50 for two hours

We came here for lunch on a Friday for restaurant week. I'd walked past this restaurant many times and it was wonderful to finally try it!The dining room is gorgeous and the pateo has an amazing view of the water. The pateo had clear tarping to keep it warm/sheltered from wind while still providing a stunning view. Service was friendly. It was only us and 2 others tables when we arrived at 12, but the pateo mostly filled up by the time we were done around 1:30. The food was great! Very flavorful with beautiful presentation. The herbs provided a freshness to the zest of the spices. We enjoyed everything! The hummus, eggplant (nicely smoky). The Adana kebab was really succulent and such robust flavors without feeling too rich or too heavy. The shrimp was also very well seasoned and succulent. The meats were paired with fresh, refreshing salads and served on a bed of richly seasoned rice pilaf. Very happy to have tried this place and looking forward to coming back!

I absolutely loved this restaurant! I called to make reservations ten minutes before arriving and they accommodated us on the covered patio. We had a wonderful view of the Bay. The beet salad was the best I've ever had. The Turkish balloon lavash was hot and delicious. The smoked rabbit cannelloni and the corona do agnolotti were homemade and absolutely amazing. Our server was also lovely and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant at Pier 3.
