This is such a messed up thing to do with food. I noticed that there were two stickers, this product expired last month.

Walking in the area one day and stumbled upon this produce and grocery store. Located at the corner of Geary and 4ht Ave., you can miss the displays of vegetables, fruits and large bins of fruit. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the products sold. I ended up getting oranges, Fuji apples and dino plums from the display and bins.Inside there are shelves of groceries like grains, nuts, spices, coffees, teas, jams, and more fruits and veggies in refrigerated displays. There was one cashier and the line went pretty quickly. I did catch a mis-ring as she charged me for a different type of orange. She promptly corrected when I inquired about the mis-ring. Overall, a nice neighborhood produce store. Hard to beat the prices for the items outside.

Really good prices. Fresh produce and a good variety. Much less expensive than Safeway or Luckys

I posted the first review when they opened up. Then some racist jerk accused them of "putting thumb on scales" and boom there went the 5stars.Can't believe it's been 3 1/2 years. They are definitely a thriving business now. It can be hard to walk past them for all the shoppers clustered around the outdoor produce stands, which is where many specials are placed. You can get good deals but even the not-on-special produce is fairly priced. There are many more produce stands inside, plus a refrigerated section where one can pop in for sage or spinach etc.The shelves are neatly and sensibly laid out, with coffee, tea, pastries and sweets, jams and tahini, pudding mixes, Bob's Red Mill, endcaps have nuts and dried fruit on one side, spices on the other. You can spend a lot on things like pistachio or hazelnut butters; it's very hard to resist great-looking and unfamiliar products, I usually have one splurge. I'm off now to buy whole milk yogurt (they do have low-fat & skim (barf) but you'll find Bulgarian style, Indian style, Greek of course, and local farmers as well mostly organic. I'm also picking up farmer's cheese which is hard to find. It's like a dry cottage cheese. I'll attempt to only get those items, but it's not easy. If I had money, I would splash out on goat, cow and sheep cheeses like huge canisters of sheep milk cheese from Yemen and lovely fish..... This is a great place to take visitors to the City. OK, they're open now and I'm out the door.Hazel F.

** The following review reflects my experience DURING the COVID-19 pandemic. **Abraham is such a cool name. Not just the Lincoln connection or even Abe Vigoda, but way before four score and seven years ago, it was the name of the prophet that tied three major religions together. He was like the Beyoncé of all prophets. Anyway, that's what popped in my head when I saw this market recently came under new ownership. Previously it was a quietly run operation focused purely on the produce. Now it feels more like a fully rounded neighborhood market with a decidedly contemporary Middle Eastern twang. Not only is there the bounty of fresh fruits and vegetables but also a gallery of tempting sweets and aromatic spices as well as shelves of staples. It was buzzing with activity which made social distancing a bit of a challenge. I stopped by as I was waiting for my car to be serviced across the street and saved myself another grocery stop on my way home.RELATED - Exploring the Richmond? Interesting picks for drinks and some produce and snacks. It's on Geary and I got some drinks and it was fun to poke at.

Good prices on produce. In fact, I don't understand how their prices are so low sometimes. There's always several fruit/veggie items on super sale. Bananas were 39 cents a pound this past weekend. Wow.

Abrahams Farmers Market is not only great for produce, but also amazing specialty items. It's my favorite market in the Inner Richmond, and has a great assortment of nuts, canned beans, spices, and middle eastern/ European specialties. I shop there for eggs, labneh, canned tomatoes, olive oil, grains and pasta. The ownership and family who work there are lovely and always helpful. Please support this business!

This is an update on this market. Business has increased for them. An affordable option for produce although Not always the freshest, some items might have mold if you don't look enough, and most are close to over ripe if you don't eat it right away. But you can save some money here. The annoying thing is they won't make an exception on their $5 minimum on cards. I was 75 cents short and I still needed to buy something to meet the minimum. Ina hurry I picked up some candy and that sent my total well over. Good for the store, but not so good for someone who can't afford it. The clerk acted smug that he got some more money out of this customer. Maybe he should think about why someone would be looking to pay less for food that isn't the freshest quality.
