7 Adams was my first Michelin experience, and if I lived nearby, I would visit frequently. The quality of the food was phenomenal with every dish having more depth and flavor than food I've paid double for. The seafood was fresh and didn't have a briny flavor that often ruins seafood dishes and the bread and pasta had just the right amount of chew to create a delightful texture. The service was amazing as every dish was explained in detail, the staff was friendly, and I felt taken care of throughout the entire meal. The combination of food and staff gave the restaurant a very homey feel despite it being a proper restaurant. The price is extremely fair for the quality and quantity food received and I would recommend to anyone looking for a nice meal to have in the city.

5/5 no notes. Great meal, great price, great location. Amazing interior design. The staff were all amazing and welcoming. Claire our server was very sweet and super kind. So attentive. Even the other patrons were very kind, no snobby vibe of fine dining. Planning on coming again with my girlfriends. Thank you!

Great service and staff. Come for the awesome deal on their five course menu. There are upgrade options to the menu that add to the price point - but they are appropriately priced and IMO worth it. Either way you will leave full but not stuffed. Great find in city.

San Francisco, Japantown. January 2025.This restaurant, by David and j Chow Fisher, sits right on the edge of Japantown, on Sutter, steps from Fillmore. You'll find them by the address and a single large 7 above their entrance. It is a clean and welcoming look, narrow and cozy with wood and warm lighting. The meal is a 5 course prix fixe, a good value at It's current pricing, or a single seating 10 course chef's counter at almost twice the price. The format seems to be a consistent scallop opener (with a supplement starter available), followed by a soup, pasta, protein, and dessert. There may be a couple of additional supplements available but the menu basically allows you two choices for each course after the opener. Dining with a partner will allow you to pretty much see the whole current seasonal menu if you both choose one of each option and are willing to share. On the current menu, the caviar tartlette filled with smoked sturgeon mousse, a fudgey egg yolk and a spoonful of caviar was a delightful single bite. A limited second course supplement of ham croquette with a black truffle fondue, parmesan, hazelnuts and a generous shaving of black truffles, and a third course pasta of porcini tagliatelle covered with a mushroom ragout and sitting on a black bean miso were highlights. A winter citrus dessert of blood orange ice cream, crumbled pistachio cake and lemon curd, with bits of grapefruit, pomegranate seeds, and blood oranges was a refreshing palate cleaning finish.Everything is familiar, the preparation uncomplicated, and the results generally what you expect to taste. The servers welcome you and provide attentive service and good explanations of each course's ingredients. The value and hospitality make this place worth regular visits.

7 Adams serves a five course pre fixe menu (plus milk bread). The have supplements you can add to the menu such as the caviar appetizer, truffle with you pasta or sub for the Wagyu steak. In addition to our set menu, we ordered the caviar and a drink as well. I got the wine but was disappointed they didn't serve cocktails. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal. However, I think the price of the meal might not have been worth it. Milk bread (5/5): was toasted and so warmCaviar (3/5): tasted like smoked salmon and was a small bite. This was not worth what they chargedScallop crudo (5/5): tasted so fresh but in a different texture! Celery root bisque (4/5): tasted more like mushroom bisque but I'm not complaining Porcini tagliatelle (4/5): love how the pasta tasted so fresh and thin Cod (5/5): served with mussels and was so soft. Perfectly served with miso! S'mores (4/5): very chocolaty dessert Citrus dessert (5/5): very tart and the right amount of sweetness. Birthday dessert (5/5): pear ice cream was the right amount of sweetness. Their service was also great. Very attentive

4.5 stars7 Adams offers an excellent four-course tasting menu at a great price point, making it a solid choice for a special night out. Reservations are recommended --we booked a few weeks in advance for a Saturday night. They also accommodate vegetarian preferences upon request, which is great. Standout dishes for me - the seared black cod, which was cooked beautifully, and the pasta course, which was flavorful. The bread service was another highlight--we loved it so much that we requested (and received) a second serving. We tried both desserts and my personal preference was the chocolate ganache one. Overall, it delivered great value for a multi-course experience, with thoughtful and attentive service.

We came to celebrate our engagement on Thursday night, and it was such a lovely experience. The restaurant is very intimate and elegant. The staff were extremely attentive all night and the courses were served at the perfect pace. The crudo and bisque (first two courses) were delicious. For our third course, we tried the risotto and tagliatelle and both were very tasty. The fourth course was the meat (we tried the pork and black cod), and I loved the miso flavors. The dessert was my favorite. The winter citrus cake was beautifully plated and so tasty. My fiancé got the Smores and he loved it as well.

This 2024 Michelin one-star gem offers a thoughtfully crafted tasting menu for dinner, making it a must-visit for food lovers. The ambiance is elegantly designed, creating a cozy and romantic setting that's perfect for couples. Each dish is a work of art both visually stunning and bursting with flavor. A standout is their house-made tea, a unique and memorable touch that enhances the dining experience. The pricing feels reasonable for the quality, but be sure to book in advance, as they tend to fill up quickly. Though the space is intimate, it adds to the charm. Located in San Francisco's Little Japan District, street parking is available, but taking an Uber might be the most convenient option.

Like many others, I've been wanting to try 7 Adams for a long time. We finally went at the end of the year. We were sat in the patio; while it's officially an outdoors space, the 7 Adams team made a magical, cozy space out of it, as if you were seated in someone's library, with beautiful lights overhead.Service was good. The meal was good too and we enjoyed it. Food-wise, the supplemental caviar tart was my favorite of the night, followed by the complimentary chocolate marshmallow ice cream dessert.
