"Black tea boba tasted fine, but this place lacks customer service skills big time. Also for an extra $1 this is how much boba you get...????? Boba lasted a few sips and was tasteless. There's so many other boba places around Chula Vista, I'd say go elsewhere!"

"I almost feel like you wouldn't experience this level of great in a spot like this. Let me tell you that the food was on point, all night. We started with beef carpaccio and bruschetta- both perfect and amazing together. Service was quick and didn't distract too much. We also ordered the lasagna and short rib gnocchi- both of us LOVED our meals. It was way too much food for us to eat in one sitting, but we love our left overs. Also ordered a red bottle and tiramisu... I might need to go back tmro now that I'm thinking about it again! Ambiance was great! Never been to Italy, but it felt like a little shop with a big dining room in it that you'd stop by for a bottle of wine and food to go if it were there. Not too many people in, fairly family friendly, a little chilly (don't think I ever took my jacket off even). Would visit again for sure!"

"We met here with family to celebrate our parents' 64th wedding anniversary although they have both passed. There were seven of us missing four family members. My sister made the reservation so, when we arrived we were quickly directed to our table. The interior was very clean and had a combination sports bar, rustic, and industrial vibe with the exposed ducting overhead. The interior is nicely laid out and there is a patio for outdoor dining. Our waitress was very friendly and hardworking. She explained that one of the fryers was down so that limited our ability to order some of the menu items. I was looking forward to fish & chips. Instead I opted for the Turkey & Brie on sourdough bread with tater tots. It was delicious! The majority of the family ordered burgers or sandwiches. The food came out quickly. Everybody enjoyed the food but a little disappointed about the fryer being out of commission.We would like to return and try out the menu items we were unable to order this visit."

"Owned by the SDCM Restaurant Group behind Kettner Exchange Devil's Dozen debuted in 2015, a Little Italy address predictably generating lines that the shop's limited size continues to struggle with now.Narrow across the alley from KEX, a single window beneath the rooftop patio in charge of selling fried Dough plus elaborate Lattes to the Soy or Oat Milk crowd, guests can expect to wait, wait and wait some more while one guest has their whole six-drink order prepared even though others just desiring Pastries could easily be addressed in the meantime.Thirty minutes to move three orders, the online ordering system never once operational across two days, those with persistence will find the Donuts themselves mostly-well constructed, the raised options light and springy regardless of toppings while the Old Fashioned is unfortunately a bit dry.Prone to frequent change, Gluten-free choices available on weekends for those feigning an allergy, do consider the "Cosmic Brownie" if available as the Brioche ring marries semi-cooked Batter to airy Whipped Cream and Sprinkles."

"I had a pretty good Adobada Burrito from this food truck. The burrito was of medium size and came well filled with seasoned and marinated pork. The meat was tender and tasty. I asked the girl who making the burrito if it came with avocado or guacamole and she said yes, but she forgot to put in the burrito. I was really looking forward to the avocado with the adobada, it's almost synonymous with this type of meat. Anyways, at $9, it was a tasty burrito and filling as well. They use a very good quality flour tortilla for the burritos. The pico de gallo was good, I liked that the white cheese melted nicely in the burrito. The guacamole would of been just grand in this burrito.The two ladies running the truck were very nice. They also make breakfast burritos, in addition to their street tacos and mulitas."

"I hate to do this to a new place just starting out, but they do need work on a few things with regards to the food. I order two things, the Chicken Enchilada combo and two adobada street tacos. I have to be honest.I'll start with the the adobda street tacos which I thought were okay. They tasted good but the marinated pork was on the dry side and oddly chopped up. There was no consistency. The meat was not made to order but rather pre-made then reheated for the tacos. It would be nice to see them prepare the meat to order as it should be for quality. The guacamole was good and I liked that they doubled up on the corn tortilla for each taco.I'm sorry, but I would not recommend the chicken enchiladas as they presently being prepared. I was quite disappointed with them. They looked pretty good when I open the box but when I dug in, it was another matter.There were three things wrong with them and need to be addressed. First, the sauce was very simple and offered no depth in flavor. It was simply a tomato sauce doctored up with some spice. It taste mostly of tomato that comes out of a can. It certainly needed that chili pepper flavor accompanied with those traditional Mexican herb and spices; another words, it needed to be more robust and offer a great flavor that lingers on the palate.Next, the corn tortillas were not flash fried in hot oil before rolling and filling them. As a result, their texture was not right. They had that gritty corn texture, like when you eat a cold tortillas, and they broke apart easily because they soaked up the tomato sauce. A properly fried up corn tortilla, not only give the enchilada that right texture, but also prevents the tortilla from soaking up the sauce, to hold up its integrity. My mother from Culiacan, Mexico taught me those basics decades ago.Finally, the chicken was not the right cut. They need to use tender shredded breast meat, not this chopped up pieces of leg and thigh meat. There's a place and time for that type of chicken meat, but not in an enchilada. That cuts works well in tacos and burritos, but in enchiladas you need that fork tender shredded white meat. I was very bummed out when I saw the chicken meat they used and with its flavor. All I saw and tasted was black pepper on the meat, not to mention the chicken was dry too. I know using freshly prepared and shredded chicken is more labor intensive, but well worth it in the end. I was not a fan of the rice and beans. The rice not only had an odd color but flavor as well, and the beans were dry unfortunately. I did not eat neither of them after one bite.I really hope they make some changes and improvements because I really want them to succeed. The owner also owns several other Mexican eateries around town, so my personal experience surprised me. Daniela the young lady who took my order was super nice and cool. I liked her sense of humor."

"We stopped in before a show at the Balboa Theater! Good wine selection - friendly bartender/server/manager - he does it all except maybe cooking!The place is inviting and has some cool art pieces on the walls! The music was too loud for casual conversation- with the tables kind of crammed together - everyone was in on the discussion!The food was outstanding! My rigatoni was spot on Al dente as was my wife's pasta.PRO TIP: make a reservation even if the guy tells you probably won't need one!!"

"I hadn't been here before, we needed a caffeine boost and couldn't find the other tiny coffee shack in the same area that Google pointed us to, and thank goodness. Too bad this is in an old strip mall, the vibe inside is unique and better fitted to a beach street, but the magic is that they take you there if you just forget where you are. The pastries are amazing and dense (pumpkin plonk, wow), the staff were very friendly and chatty, the latte was amazing and just what we needed to continue on our journey around Encinitas."

"This is a great little coffee kiosk. Even though it was not on the menu, the young ladies working here made me the cortado I wanted. They use a local coffee roaster called "Torque Coffee." The cortado was terrific. It had a great robust coffee flavor and had a great smoothness from beginning to end. I liked it very much.The kiosk offers a variety of espresso based beverages, teas, and baked goods, not to mention a breakfast sandwich made with bagels for $6 and acai bowls for $7. My cortado was only $4.They offer a few tables outside in front of the kiosk. The service was super friendly and welcoming."

"Small spot in Grantville to grab boba or froyo. Menu just looked kind of cluttered and overwhelming, so I went with a Thai Tea with boba. Their sizes are pretty large! A medium looks like a large at other boba shops. The Thai Tea unfortunately comes out of a fridge. You know when you put a drink in the fridge without completely sealing it, it has this funny taste? May have been a rough day, but I was pretty disappointed with my drink this time. Worth a try! The boba was a great texture. Service was of course, quick as the drinks are premade."

"I love love Draft republics burger! After having a disappointing burger at Copper Kings, we needed to have a redemption night. We're super fond of DRs burger. We came on a Wednesday. This place is huge!! Definitely looks like a fun place for adults and kids, especially in the summer or game nights. The bar area was super nice. Cohn group sure went all in here. The menu is different here compared to our usually Carlsbad joint. We're closer to this one now so it's our new joint! We get their draft republic burger with white American cheese, 2 patties, bacon, bun and veggies with their extra crispy fries. And it comes with a salad to make you feel not so bad for eating a high caloric burger. Fries are addicting. This burger is the best. We also go their wings, naked with sauce on the side. It was delicious as well. So crunchy. Their garlic ketchup is delicious, but I don't think they have to us this time. We'll ask for it next. Service was friendly and we had several people ask us if everything was good."

"4 star overall, driven largely by their friendly and attentive service and the nice environment for a work lunch meeting. This place is in Pacific Highlands Ranch and oddly enough was not that busy during the lunch hour.We ordered right at the stand at the door and took our number to a table of our choice. Sadly, this location did not serve chicken strips even though they used the same menu as the convoy location which includes strips. I ordered Japchae instead.The food came out quickly and they packed it in Togo containers, even for dine in, as if anticipating that you may save a bit to bring home. The Japchae was a bit on the sweet side but the ratio of ingredients to rice noodle was good. The rice noodle was a bit soft and overcooked. Sure enough, I saved half to bring back.Our server was fantastic, he was friendly, efficient, and came by just the perfect amount of times to make sure our water cups were filled."

"Have you been to southern Italy yet? I mean, southern Little Italy...LOL! Met up with friends to celebrate a birthday, and she suggested here. I had never been...didn't know about it. What a great little gem! We didn't have a reservation, but a group just left and the owner said we could take the front table. They have an extensive wine list and I chose a great Italian red. I did start with a dirty martini which was perfect! Eri started with a delicious Manhattan. We ordered an capricciosa salad, fritto misto, and the polpette to start...all sooooo good! A great way to start the evening.I ordered the lobster ravioli which came with a lobster tail, and it was soooo delicious! Everyone ordered something different and couldn't be happier. I can't wait to explore the menu more. It is a cozy little spot, with tables and wall seating. There's also a bar that you can sit at. They have a great happy hour menu!"

"This place is run by a sweet Vietnamese couple and their daughter who works the register. They've already got my vote, I love supporting small businesses! My matcha smoothie was refreshing. The regular size here is a large at other places and it was perfectly sweet. The boba was also chewy and yummy. I do wish they coat it in more honey for that extra wow factor. Matcha not your thing? They have A TON of other flavors ranging from chocolate to mango.Lots of parking and $.25 charge on credit card purchases. Delicious and the only boba shop within miles. Can't complain with this boba spot in the neighborhood. Will be back to try their Thai Tea Smoothie and Pennyworth Juice!"

"Located in the 7 Eleven plaza off of Camino Del Norte.This is definitely a popular spot for lunch! It is on the smaller side so it was packed when we got there. There were also a lot of people ordering to go. Their lunch specials are a steal! Customer service was a bit rushed / short, probably because they were busy.Pad Thai: Generous portion. They did not ask us the spice level for either dish, unsure if they even do that? Served with gyoza, egg roll, & salad. This Pad Thai was a bit sweeter than we were normally used to & it was tasty.Pad Se Ew: Very flavorful & they are generous with the protein.Thai Tea: Jumbo size which was great!"

"Had the most delicious mocha here today. The only caveat is that there's no descriptive menu and you'll have to ask for the ingredients of, say, the Polar Bear. They also have lots of different teas."

"Super refreshing drinks! I ordered the Lychee Strawberry Tea - I've visited Presotea locations in the OC area and was pleasantly surprised to see them in SD. I remembered not quite liking their milk-based drinks before, so I ended up opting for a fruit tea.I'd definitely suggest decreasing the sweetness level because even at 70% it was a little too sweet for me. Regardless, the hints of strawberry and lychee were nicely present - I added agar/crystal boba to my drink and it also came with lychee jelly.There's a lot of seating at this location, and self-service two kiosks where you can order. At the time we visited, there was only one person hustling to get several orders out so it did take a moment, but they were doing great! Location is conveniently by Mission Beach - parking is available behind the store!"

"I'm convinced that the best Korean BBQ is in Convoy.Parking isn't difficult but tight. The dining area is clean and spacious. Regardless of the slippery/sticky floors and the poor ventilation, their food is the best.Yes, your clothes and hair will be smelling like bulgogi for a day but that's sexy right!? Their portions and servings are huge! The kimchi fried rice with egg and their steamed eggs are unique compared to other AYCE Korean BBQ spots. Service is excellent. Servers and bussers work diligently. Kalyna is top notch. Very friendly and welcoming. I'll be back for sure.If you find yourself in Convoy and can't decide where to eat, give this place a try. You won't be disappointed and you'll thank me later."

"Many travels that I have had and the many states which I have traveled there has been one place that has the highest amount of Gelato served at the most locations right when you walk in the door. The one place where can you go and have a great time and listen to the many bells and the alarms that go as soon as a player pulls the metal arm that is sitting next to you? Think hard there are some clues which stands out in the explanation that was given for those that have been to a place where you can have fun. There is one place where many have gone to the many places you can get drinks and the food for some great lunch and the coldest desert that you can eat and get in the many different flavors Las Vegas style that is right is freshly made Gelato they have in several hotels and the resorts they have on the strip. Gelato one of the most popular type deserts to taste the flavors of the European Gelatos that is the most incredible taste and the sweetest. The one thing that I have discovered there are many ice creams and the special sherberts which have the much sweeter of the fruits and creams the one thing that Gelato has the natural flavor and the flavor that you can eat with any of the special food and have with glass of wine. The time I had to get to walk through the mall with the light rain and to see the Gelato it was one place that got my eye having the one taste that brought back Las Vegas and the many flavors they had also matched some of the ones at Milkissimo Gelato. With the location they have is in the perfect place with the theater that is nearby with the restaurants that you can have a drink at or have a great dinner Gelato is one desert that is great with so many things where you can find flavors of the Orange Cannoli great flavor with the flavor of the orange and the taste of the cannoli with many flavors of coffee and the sweet tastes o0f the many chocolates. Located in the middle of the mall you can take your date and a sweet treat to enjoy together in the evening you can take home a pint and share together. Gelato is one desert is one desert that can be combined with many things with the creamy taste the fresh fruit where can you find black cherry that is made fresh daily with the fresh juice of the dark cherries it one you can put down. As a Yelp Elite Reviewer the many times that I have had gelato it is one desert that you can taste the purity and the flavors of the desert for those that like to try the Ultimate French Desert this is the one. You may find places which have certain flavors where can you find the flavors of the European tastes and the purity is the best only at Mission Valley Mall. The desert that I had is one of the best when you have one you have to have another."

"I forgot to pack my lunch again and lucky for me the go go truck was outside. I was really stuck on deciding what to order. The go go fried chicken sandwich was tempting, but sounded a little too spicy for me. I ended up ordering the fried chicken bahn mi sandwich. Ari, the sweet cashier who took my order was wonderful. She gave me all of her recommendations and overall gave off really sweet positive energy. Ari did not warn me that this would be one of the best sandwiches ever. The fried chicken was a thin, crispy, juicy masterpiece! The sauce on the chicken was a homemade chili sauce with soy/garlic/chili flavor. This sauce was incredible! It's sticky and sweet and spicy. They put a cilantro aioli and carrot cucumber slaw on top of the sandwich and everything came together so well. The crunch from the carrots and cucumber were a perfectly added touch. The French roll the sandwich was on was delicious. It had a perfect crunch factor and let all the flavors on the sandwich stand out. My friend got a tri tip sandwich and told me I needed to try it. After trying it, I'm convinced any sandwich choice you make from here is going to be a good one. Perfectly cooked tri tip with a nice kick from the horseradish. I will order this for myself next time. They are putting out some real deal food from this tiny food truck. Small food truck, big flavors. I loved how great their time management was. My food was ready within 10 minutes. They were really mindful that a lot of us were on our lunch breaks. If you see this truck, definitely give it a try. Great food and great people."

"I've had the pleasure of eating food from Bandar on a few other locations, mostly catered. This time we ate in the restaurant for an office dinner and this review is based on this visit. This was a great choice for this dinner since it is conveniently located for us and they were able to accommodate a party of 13. The space is very classy and upscale with servers wearing full suits, however felt that the diners were dressed more on the casual side. Upon entry we were greeted at the door and service throughout our meal was excellent. The food here is quite delicious with an emphasis on the meats, not to mention the huge portions! Everyone had to take the leftovers to go and it would likely provide 2+ meals which makes the price rather decent. The most ordered dish was the Chicken Soltani (chicken & beef combo) and I can see why it's called "world famous chicken" - tender and great flavor. The yellow and white rice is also my favorite. We also ordered the hummus platter to share which was a perfect appetizer for a large group. We ended with baklava and pistachio ice cream to add to the overall excellent experience. I'm sure we will be back and/or ordering more catering."

"Da Real Deal Black Seed OilI shop here for five reasons: 1) black seed oil, 2) Jerusalem olive oil, 3) whole coffee beans, 4) teas and 5) hard to find spices.Although this market offers a lot more to a variety of culture and diaspora cultures. The black seed oil is pressed every single day. It can't get more organic than that. Jerusalem olive oil is only sold here. Can't get more original than that. It's an all purpose oil in my home. I dip my bread in it with French sea salt. My hair is luxurious. My skin is radiant. My make-up is removed easily. And my DIY body scrub is buttery soft.No need to comment on customer service because every single customer is "the family."Prices are incredibly fairHey you..reading this...you will be given immeasurably more than you can imagine."

Had my inpatient dog with me and it was a wait in the heat but they have a big dog bowl with cold water right out the entrance. 4 women were running the place and they ran the place well, quick, and efficient. Very impressed with their customer service and fast service. They handled that line like no other! :: ORDER ::ICED VANILLA (DECAF) LATTE - lol yup team decaf. not my first go-around with this coffee shop BUT my first time at this location. Their roasted beans are very smooth and can taste it in their drinks. Especially their hot beverages, cold ones tend to be quickly sipped and forgotten. HIGHLY RECOMMENDDOG TREAT - they had a big jar at the barista counter full of dog treats for free. I love a place that looks out for their fur customers as well. :: SERVICE ::If there is a line, worth the wait. They messed up on my order and caught it before giving it to me - they didn't do decaf and quickly remade it. Again, impressed by the service of the 3 women at the front and one in the back handling the kitchen. What makes a place is good customer service and I appreciate they acknowledge all customers regardless how busy and get the order out right in timely fashion. They even engage in a little conversation with their customers even with all the noise around them. Will def be back!Until the next review..."

"This is a newish donut shop that reopened under new ownership. Small business owner and has gotten a lot of publicity in the area so decided to check it out with my BFF. We walked in and there was another party ordering donuts. As the other party was paying, we decided to look at all the donuts available for sale. We opted to buy a dozen donuts for less than $15. There was a variety that we chose and we made sure we chose donuts that were unique. We got a few maple flavored goodies (donut, twist, and bar), red velvet, sprinkles, sugar donut and twist, strawberry filled, chocolate and maple swirl. The donuts were good and the service was friendly. They even make a donut cake for birthdays. For 1 layer I believe it's $15 but for a second it's $20. The guy showed me a photo of a huge birthday donut cake he had just made for pick up. Nice alternative vs an actual cake. Great small business to support in the area."

"I love Little Italy and all the great restaurants ice cream shops, pizzaria, and desserts you can try there. After we spent a quality time in little Italy, we finally stopped by Nonna and Zucchero because we were craving their cookies and some of their desserts.I did not have a chance to dine in there, but we are planning to dine in in our next visit to San Diego.I love the varieties  of cookies and desserts they have. I always buy extra for home. All the cookies are very fresh and delicious.Their Créme brûlée is indulgent. I love also their Napoleon and cannoli. Every cookies or dessert we tried were delightful."

"In my endless search for my next breakfast burrito I stumbled upon this spot. A reasonably priced breakfast burrito? Say less. I don't think I'll leave San Diego without grabbing one to go.Bacon, Eggs, Cheese & Potatoes - I was impressed with the generous portion of bacon in this thing. Sausage, Eggs, Cheese & Potatoes - I love it when a place puts full links in a jawn instead of cutting them up small. Ratios of eggs, cheese and potatoes were on point, as was the construction-- everything was mixed equally throughout so I wasn't randomly getting a mouth full of egg. The most impressive thing has to be the price. $9 for a burrito this size, and this filling is unheard of in my neck of the woods. The green salsa is very good, so much so that I wish I had a bottle of it at home."

"The staff here was super friendly and helpful. They had 31 beers on tap and a full bar. It gets really crowded on game nights. There are healthy options on the menu. We had the cali-flower wings and one of the tots specialties and both were wonderful. Our table was by a window looking out to the patio area."

"Hungry Lu's is a great find if you're in the area!I popped in craving a cold turkey sandwich and was blown away by the quality of the meat and bread!Each bite was more delicious than the next and it's the best meal to grab and walk over to the beach to enjoy!The staff was accommodating to my requests and made the sandwich I had been dreaming of that day without hesitation.The shop is a small walk-in, so grab-and-go is the name of the game! "Love a good sausage party, and the Regal Seagull did not disappoint!If I lived up here, I'd be here a lot more.It's like the Regal Beagle further south, but instead, it's in North County. GREAT craft beer selection. Meat-filled menu perfect for the keto-carnivore types, and at least one faux-meat sausage for those of you who don't roll that way. Staff is friendly and fast. When your food is ready you'll hear loud and clear over the speaker.Similar to the Beagle, plenty of indoor seating, but I believe the Seagull may win when it comes to outdoor options. Its location lends itself a bit better to people watching and walking from spot to spot, too."
