Zaxbys

I personally love Zaxbys. They are always consistent, speedy and delicious. I live near Potranco and 151, and there are like 5/6 fried chicken spots I could visit. Instead I make the 10 min drive just for some Zaxbys on a weekly basis. The nuclear sauce is to die for goes great with the entire meal. Chicken tenders are always juicy, fresh and have great flavor. Place is pretty nice inside for being a fast food chain. Employees are always friendly and quick. In my opinion one of the best fast food fried chicken places ever!

So I personally do not get this restaurant, all based on the taste of the food. It is a nice place, very clean, and the folks are very friendly. The food was served quickly and hot. But just found chicken not to have a recognizable taste, like under seasoned. The only flavor I found came from the dip sauce, which I do not prefer. The fries seemed undercooked, so that did not help. Unfortunately for me the best thing there was the iced tea. I am unable to recommend.

I had to watch a manager act completely unprofessional to the cashier today. That manager needs to go. That manager seem very young and full of herself the way she embarrassed one of her employees. This place can do better

My family and I went to the one located on Alamo Ranch Pwky. The food was fresh and delicious, clean environment and the service here was great!

I visited the drive thru around 1pm on a week day. To my surprise there was no line. Does not one eat lunch around here? I ordered my food, the prices were decent for the quality. However, the wait time... I was the only car in the drive thru and I had to wait 20 minutes for my food. They apologized for the wait. At least the food was fresh and tasty.

I was dying for Zaxby's. Bring a Georgia girl, I was excited to find one here but the drive discouraged many times. I had a new job detail and behold! What's down the road from the job? Zaxby's. After work I decided I'd see if it measures to Zaxby's at home. First of all, I'm fully aware this is Raising Cane's town. We actually had one in my hometown in Georgia but it didn't survive in Zaxby's country at the time (side note, if they tried it again it would probably do better). Anyway, full disclosure, today's Zaxby's isn't the one I grew to love over 30 years. They've made changes to the food, specifically the fingers and the toast that I'm not a fan of. But what never seemed to disappoint was the fries and the wings. And they didn't disappoint here. My flavor is always hot honey mustard and I love dipping my fries in the ranch sauce. My first order was online and I picked up in store. I had to go back in because the soda was all carbon. I forgot how much I miss going inside to use the freestyle machine. The food was good. I realized I don't miss the fingers at all and made a mental note to skip the wings and things and just get wings and a side order of fries. I did that on the second try. Overall it's a quick fix like home but I gotta tell you, if I could get Zaxby's wings and fries with Cane's fingers and toast! Now that would be a perfect combo.

Walked in, place was a hot mess, walked back out! Not a great first impression at all!

We LOVE Zaxby's almost as much as CFA. We were regulars back on the east coast and couldn't believe we were getting one just a few miles from our house. I was pretty annoyed when I found out they didn't have the Black and Blue salad. We went a few times opening week and kept going back until the food wasn't as appealing as it had always been. We went today and I'm done. Our food was disgusting. $46 for 3 meals and the most edible part was the cold fries. We could have gone to Texas Roadhouse for steaks for around the same amount. I'll share opening day and today for comparison. Same exact meal.... can you spot the difference? My tongue torch tossed boneless wings today were old and tasted like grease. And my large fries was half the size from opening day. Sorry Zaxby's ... there are too many other chicken places around SATX for us to keep coming back.

I think I really need to be in the mood for fried food bc that's exactly what this tastes like. A few of the bites were good! But it got kinda old quickly. I got the garlic Buffalo sauce which had nice flavor. Not too spicy. I really liked the fries and toast. Went through the drive thru, it was quick!

Second visit and we are just as impressed as the first experience! Marissa was behind the counter and she was super sweet and patient. She frWe were trying to download the app, but it was taking forever! She just smiled and waited for us to get it downloaded & signed in - nice change from many people being frustrated or annoyed with it taking so long to download! Food does take a bit to cook, but it's always very fresh & crispy. This might be our new favorite chicken place!
