Zanzenburg Tavern

Food - 10 out of 10. We had the fish/potato small plate which took us back to Spain. We've discovered the menu changes bc it wasn't on the menu the next time, but when it's back it is a must!! We got the steak for two and brought leftovers home. We chose the mashed potatoes and mushroom sauce but the absolute surprise was the Dijon mustard. Steak also came with two side salads. Don't skip dessert, sticky toffee date cake was divine. The staff and ambience will blow you away, especially the gardens. Great southern hospitality. I love this gem in our little town.

Wow!!! Out in the small town of Center Point Texas. We made reservations at a small town tavern that turned out to be a diamond in the ruff! We had drinks at the bar that were delicious and perfectly crafted. Staff were very friendly and we ordered the tuna tartare. Chicken cordon bleu and the New York strip angus steak. All were exquisite! The steak was our absolute favorite that we have had in a while! The ambiance was very warm (it was 27 degrees outside). Bathrooms are very small and outside. Definitely one of my favorite hidden spots out in the middle of the hill country tucked away in the small town of Center point.

We moved here from Vegas two years ago and the biggest adjustment has definitely been a lack of real, quality food. Vegas has the best restaurants in the world on every street corner; we had no idea how spoiled we were. Living in a one stop light town, I'd never expect to have a 5 star meal here. I am SO excited to have found this place. Wish they'd open 7 days so it was easier to get in, advanced reservations seem to be a requirement! My daughter & I enjoyed a first class 6 course meal for NYE and I told my husband we will booking out reservations in advance going forward. Finally found a place with World class food (and cocktails) and Southern hospitality rolled into one.

Everything I've tried on this menu has been outstanding. From breakfast to brunch to dinner. Service has been fantastic and the cocktails have been excellent. The vibe of this place is lovely, fun, infectious, and makes me feel like I'm in some cool hip spot in a much larger city somewhere else. The owners and staff are friendly and warm and attentive.

Sunday brunch yesterday was excellent! Great food choices, very attentive, and helpful, wait staff, very friendly executive chef Edward, who didn't just stop by the table briefly, but spent time talking with us and answering questions. The Sunday brunch menu was much more extensive than what is on the website. What did we eat? Two orders of the spinach and cheese quiche, one toasted everything bagel and smoked salmon, chicken pot pie, all came with salad. The sticky toffee date cake for dessert was amazing!

16 bucks for a burger? Parking that is terrible and blocks your view of cross traffic? This is a small hard working town, and these people are trying to price anyone out of actually eating here. No stars if I could.

Yall! This place is Amazing. The best food and cocktails I have had in a while. The staff and service is amazing. You will not be disappointed. William the bartender was fantastic.

Magical evening! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Saturday night was busy and yet we felt a personal touch that is rare. The drinks were fantastic. The food. O.M.G. Shishito peppers, mussels and mushrooms with pesto The flavors were out of this world. Bravo!

Lovely meal!! Lick the plate delish!! We have manners so I wouldn't do that, but thought about it ! owners were great to meet! Very friendly

After a great Christmas luncheon with a large group, I was very impressed with the food and atmosphere. I was looking forward to taking the family there for Sunday brunch. I booked a reservation. When my daughter asked me to find out if they had a children's menu ( none found online,) I called to find out. I was told they would accommodate us with items from the side menu, but bring "French" they believed in children eating what adults were served. I felt this was a haughty and insulting statement. Like I was being reprimanded for taking my grandchildren's tastes into account. I wasn't asking for chicken nuggets, just thinking they may have smaller childsize portions. They have a wide variety of tastes. I felt the comment was unnecessary and they were berating me for taking my grandchildren's tastes and food allergies into consideration. I cancelled the reservation after the conversation.
