Decided to try Yo-Yo Ramen after seeing a real on Instagram. It showed great food and got great reviews. Unfortunately our experience was not a good one. I purchased strawberry milk, tea with Boba, chicken, dumplings, full order, and the Hakkata Ramen. Let's start with the Ramen, the chicken was very dry, and the egg was overcooked. I was really hoping that the flavor of the soup would combat those issues but unfortunately, there is not enough flavor in it for it to even be considered Ramen. I purchased the full order of dumplings, which by itself was good. That's half the reason why I gave this place two stars. Now let's get started on the milk tea. I ordered a strawberry milk tea with Boba. When I received it, I was extremely excited to try it because it looked beautiful. See picture. The strawberry milk tea came very sweet and I kept getting ice up my straw, because there was too much ice. What really made me sad was the Boba itself tasted strange and was all mushed together like it had melted and she just plopped it in the drink see picture, the lady running the food truck was very nice and very informative. Service was not very quick since I ordered it first and got that food last. The Rose Bush is a food, truck, bonanza and fun place to visit. It has large Jenga, connect for ping-pong table and cornhole. They have a really cool area for the kids to play and a small basketball goal. They have a beautiful inside area to sit and bathrooms, yay. Now I know you're asking Will I come back? I will come back and try again. Hopefully this was a fluke but we'll see.

Definitely not "The Best Ramen in San Antonio". Nice try though.I was born and raised in Japan so I'm picky with ramen.I got Tonkotsu ramen and the soup is almost too tick and greasy. The flavor is there. Chashu was very thin and not really falling apart like it should. It could be better. Wood ear mushroom was awkwardly bitter and it shouldn't taste like that. I don't think it was rotten or anything, but I don't know where they get it from, I've never tasted one like that.Overall, it was just fair ramen.

So I tried this place because my usual place was closed. The ambiance is really nice, it's outside with indoor seating and games. Stray cats are cute and at first won't like you but be your friend if you feed them some pork. On to the noodle. So I have a bias, I'm from Japan. Before coming to TX I loved in CA and I'm not used to paying these high prices. Fairly priced, this place was as far as San Antonio goes. The noodle however....I got the Tonkotsu because if you can't do a basic Tonkotsu broth, you have problems. So I tried it and it was very plain. A little salt or umami in the broth give us something. In all fairness it seems Yoyo specializes in spicy broths, which is okay. A lot of people like that, but your fundamentals shouldn't have to suffer for that. When I come back I'll try the spicy broths and I can already promise you they'll be good. I dressed my broth with chili oil and his was nice. Great service, beautiful atmosphere, just work on Tonkotsu broth. That's the introduction to raamen for foreigners, and we should teach them that in Japan we like salt.

Absolutely loved my first ramen experience! The setting amidst rose bushes is perfect for sunny days. The ramen was filling, and I particularly enjoyed the flavorful egg and chicken. A delightful choice for a satisfying meal. Served at the perfect temperature and quick!

Was a bit wary to try this truck based off the reviews. Because of this, I steered clear of the ramen and stuck with a full order of gyoza and a piece of Japanese cheesecake. The gyoza was nicely fried and tasty. Came with 11, so not a bad deal for the price. The cheesecake was so delicious. My only complaint was with the guy manning the truck. He wasn't rude or anything but his demeanor screamed "I'd rather be anywhere else than here."

My friend and I ordered a tonkotsu ramen and milk tea. The Ramen was overcook in a weak broth with a boiled egg, some very fatty disks of pork and a few bits of corn and green onion. The milk tea is too sweet and the boba was hard. It tasted like it was at least a day old. They need a big improvement of their food quality. Will not be going back.
