Yorky's Taco House

Don't shy away from this place when you drive up to it. The area may not be fancy but, you won't be disappointed. The inside of this little restaurant is really clean and you will immediately be greeted by friendly staff. The wall decorations and music remind me of my childhood memories in Mexico. The food is delicious and generously portioned. I got the Yorky Plate with barbacoa and pancakes, I definitely recommend this dish if you're looking for a hearty breakfast. Buen provecho!

A favorite local Mexican food restaurant great weekly and daily specials , different enchilada dishes and taco favorites, fast friendly service great atmosphere and local south side restaurant proximity to Lackland Air Force Base and old kelly air base have been going to and enjoying the different food options for years

So I will start by saying I really liked this bean and cheese breakfast taco. You could taste/feel the tortilla was homemade! I wasn't given a receipt to see what tax and everything was but it was $2 for one taco and that kinda threw me. Especially since there was a sign for 3x$3.00+ I'll be returning because it wasn't a bad experience. It was quick and they had a drive through so that was very nice. Although, it was a bit interesting because I though you would pull around the building to leave it but there didn't appear to be much room. I had to reverse a little to leave. I'll see what I can add to this after another visit.

First time here while visiting, thenfood was great and the price was right. The service was also.. well definitely be back to try the rest of the menu

Pretty decent breakfast tacos! Fast, friendly service, too. I encourage you to get there a little early for their breakfast specials. This place is hugely popular with the Lackland AFB crowd. It moves along quickly but expect a little bit of a wait. Dining room is closed but you can go in to order. The drive though seems to take slightly longer. No matter how long you wait, you won't be disappointed.

This place is pretty good, considering it is a whole in the wall type of place. Don't expect fine dining, pristine walls and a super duper shiny seating area. It could be a bit tidier at the cash register, but other then that still a good place to eat. Food was well made and tasted good. I got the shrimp nachos and hubby got the green enchiladas. When you come in seat yourself. There is parking in the area and a variety of options on the menu.

Authentic and delicious! A definite stop whenever I'm in town. The staff are friendly and very responsive even when extremely busy. Make it a point to get their breakfast tacos!!

They have wonderful service and great food they have a porkchip plate on Tuesday and Thursday thqt you cannot miss.

Decided to have a quick breakfast here. Service was good. Server was attentive and very nice. I had the huevo rancheros w/ bacon....bacon was a little burnt, eggs fluffy, sauce was OK but really for a few bucks and change, you cant beat that. We couldnt finish all our food. Coffee was pretty good.

This is my favorite breakfast taco place in town, and I'll stop here in the morning to bring the joy of breakfast tacos to friends and family.They have a drive thru window on the right side of their building as well as parking on the left side and right in front... make sure not to block the drive thru lane! Also, if those spots are all taken there is additional parking in the same block so you don't leave the parking strip.Once inside the register where you can order to-go is to the left, and is manned by 3 ladies that are good at recognizing repeat customers. Cash is preferred, but they do accept card as well. If you're not in a to-go mood, they have a large dine-in space where you can try their weekday specials as well as their continuous menu items.I'll usually get orders of their bean & cheese, bean & egg, bean & chorizo, bacon & egg, or country sausage & egg breakfast tacos. My absolute favorite is the bean & cheese though with their green salsa.Why Yorky's over the other breakfast places?1) Amazing tortillas. They are hot, thick, browned in spots, and not to dry or too doughy.2) The filling is just the right amount where I don't start to wonder if this is a stuffed burrito vs. a taco. I prefer a smaller ratio of filling to tortilla compared to others, and Yorky's meets that mark.3) SALSA. Their green salsa isn't too thick or too watery, and it is the right heat-level. Definitely good to dip or to just open that taco up and pour it all over.
