Yippon Ramen

Hubby was craving so we made a last minute trip to San Antonio. I had booked marked this place to try out, I'm glad we did the service was wonderful the Ramen was on point, great flavor! my husband agreed. It really is hard to find good ramen, it's usually bland. This place dis not disappoint.The sushi deluxe was so fresh and beautifully presented.I really record the mango boba smoothie! It was so delicious, I'm guessing they used real mango I'll definitely be back! Worth the 40min drive.

Went this Friday with my boyfriend and we had a really good experience! The place was maybe half full when we got there around 8 ish and we got seated right after walking in. We started off with the bbq pork buns app and it was so good! I was honestly just curious because of the texture of the buns, but it was a double win because they ended up being really good! The buns were soooo fluffy and soft like a cloud the pork was covered in a bbq sauce that was delicious!As for my entree I ended up getting the tonkotsu ramen. I liked the noodles, the broth for me was just lacking maybe some salt and garlic but not bad. Lastly I have to come back and applaud Yippon for their pork! The chashu in my ramen was sooooooo good! I'm very picky with my chashu and feel like a lot places tend to have very fatty pork belly, but there's was great! It was sooo lean and I really didn't have to pull much fat off of it. I just wish the chashu was a little bigger lol.Lastly we topped off our dinner with boba smoothies My boyfriend and I cannot wait to go back and try some more ramen next time!

Always perfect service! I am always checked on to make sure I don't need anything else. Glass is never empty. Staff is top notch!! Highly recommend!

I don't leave reviews often, but this place is definitely something to check out! Everything was amazing, the food, service, and simply the vibe itself. Its also very affordable aswell, I was able to try a lot of food!

Finding good ramen in San Antonio is definitely a challenge and I think Yippon Ramen did some good things, but could have been better overall. It could have been an off day, but my experience wasn't the same as other positive reviews for this place. Finding parking at this store is very easy and the ambiance is pretty nice. It wasn't very busy which made it a little awkward because the staff members stared at my table a lot. At least that made it easy to flag them down incase you need something I guess. In terms of the ramen it just wasn't my cup of tea compared to what I've had in Japan or even in the Bay Area. I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen ($12.50) which also had narutomaki fish cakes which then reminded of a TikTok talking about how if you see these in your ramen then it's probably not going to be amazing. It was just okay to me. The ramen bowl was also chipped and cracked all around the bowl which was not ideal. The Tonkotsu broth was actually good, but the noodles weren't my favorite texture wise. The pork was also lacking in flavor and wasn't too moist. The eggs were cooked pretty well, but didn't taste much from the marinade. I may have just come at a off day because others enjoyed this ramen spot, but it just wasn't for me personally.

This place exceeded every expectation and was sooo good. The ambiance here it's really cute and laid back and our server was friendly and checked on us several times. We got the black garlic and fried chicken ramen (which are two of their most popular) and were blown away. Both very flavorful and large portion size. They also offered us chili oil on the side if you prefer to add your own spice.

We're back. This time I tried the Yippon Don. It's good but had too much sauce. I think it would have been perfect if I got the sauce on the side so the rice wasn't drenched with sauce. But overall it was a good bowl. AND as usual, service was excellent. AGAIN, this review is based on my taste pallette. Others may like their rice drenched in sauce. Give this place a try, it's a great Ramen spot.

The overall sentiment I receive from Yippon is one of excellence & dedication to providing amazing quality food & imperdible service. The experience of dining at an establishment like this, is knowing your money is being well spent & it is worth it. Yippon is chic and modern and cool without the bill that makes you feel it. Put this on your list to try soon, you won't regret it!!

This place is great for sharing dishes with friends! The appetizers are small, but inexpensive and delicious. I recommend the pan fried gyoza! The food was delicious and came out in less than ten minutes after we ordered. There are many drink options such as boba tea that are also available.
