First time visiting since they've completed the renovation and update. Great spot. Very bright. Staff very courteous and attentive. Willing to explain process and menu. Plenty of options for serving line that continuously rotates with various items. Pricing for each line item is based on color of the plate. Plates are $2.95; $3.45; and $4.95 on the line. Hot items are ordered through your server. Very quiet but lively place to come and take in the experience. Looking forward to returning and experiencing more of what they have to offer.

Most foodies enjoying sushi restaurants are well accustomed to the serene, muted ambience that are typical of the great majority e.g. Shushishima, Godai, Toroko, among others. These are traditional "sit down' establishments, serviced by waitstaff, delivering desired elements as prepared by the sushi chefs. But, if one is in search of a different sushi experience, well, yelpers, buckle your seatbelts for a rather different time at table. Found at the corner of Blanco and Loop 410, this eatery is nestled midst a mix of retails and restaurants. Parking is facile and aplenty within the lot fronting the establishments. Tables are reserved on an online waitlist, and on this Saturday evening, joining was indeed fortuitous, for a crowd of diners were in queue to enter. We were immediately greeted by the very pleasant Giselle, and taken to our table. The ambience was lively, the decor contemporary, the music over the sound system moving from hard banging, to alternative, to contemporary. The crowd was younger, all engaged in the joy of the moment. Enter Wild Goji, newest entrant into the notion of the revolving conveyor belt of sushi delivery!! Wild Goji was previously known as a staid Chinese restaurant, but is now reborn as a member of that revolving conveyor of dining. Simply put, tables are situated round a serpentine track, the track in continuous motion, delivering menu items to table as they pass. One pulls the desired item from the track, the items on plates of different colors that identifies the price of the selected item. Most items are of sushi rolls, but also found are seaweed salad and some desserts. Sashimi and hot items are ordered from waitstaff and delivered via a rather clever "train" that is programmed to stop at the ordered table. Rather remarkable we thought! This was a novel experience to Marjan and me, but Alex, our waiter was more than helpful in explaining the matters of pulling items from the conveyor, how the pricing worked, and if we should desire items not on the conveyor. He was well informed of the sushi items as they passed. High praise for Alex and his service for our table!! We began our evening with a cold, filtered, clear saki, their REI Junmai DaiGinjo: not too sweet, not too dry, but just perfect for our palates. Definitely recommend!! We sampled a number of items as they passed, beginning with the smoked salmon nigiri. Excellent. The seaweed salad was fresh, delicate with sauce, scrumptious. The tuna maki seemed a bit fishy for our palates, and we wondered if the seaweed wrapping did not compromise the flavor. We consider this a bit of detractor for any sushi dish. The salmon avocado roll was perhaps one of our most favorite items, refreshing in flavor, well executed. We always enjoy sashimi, and Wild Goji sashimi of tuna and salmon were truly fresh and melt in the mouth. We did think that perhaps the morsels were a bit large in size, and could perhaps have been halved for better handling with the chopsticks. Wanting a warm menu item, we ordered their beef yakiniku dish, but found this offering tending a bit too sweet for our palates. Ending our evening, we ordered the Kikori old fashioned, a digestif of Kikori whiskey, pumpkin, orange bitters and cinnamon, delivered smoking to our table. Marjan and I thought this new iteration on our favorite to be very competent and enjoyable. Kudos to the mixologist Adam! While there are a handful of "conveyor' sushi restaurants in our fair city, this was our first experience. Wild Goji is a very innovative restaurant, with contemporary design, with well trained staff re customer service, and attracting a very dedicated clientele. We found the dining experience at once exhilarating and rewarding for the quality of the sushi items offered. Would we recommend Wild Goji? Most definitely! Enjoy sushi yelpers!!

I had heard about this place and wanted to give it a try. When we pulled up to the parking lot it felt like Deja vu. Like I had been here before. And the truth is I had about 3 years ago but it was a completely different set up and vibe.I was pleasantly surprised to walk through the doors and see a complete refresh and new layout minus the bar. It was still in the same spot ;) The grand reopening was spot on.Super clean and fun inviting atmosphere and the first thing that caught my eye (along with my kiddos) was the space or subway cars delivering food on the tracks. We were quickly sat and our server was amazing. Constantly stopping by to check on us and the kids. Asking about any extra sauces or drink refills. The plates on the conveyor belt are color coded $2.95 for yellow $3.45 for pink and $4.25 for purple. My kids had a blast pulling rolls, fruit and desserts. To my surprise they tried a few new things out of the ordinary like the Mango stuffed Inari because it looked appetizing. The sushi chefs in the back are grinding because that belt always have new rolls and they were all fresh. We also ordered off the menu because my husband loves eel and the Eel Love roll was fantastic. After the meal depending on the number of plates you can receive a token to obtain a prize for every 10 plates. My kids got a free purple plate at our next visit and a cute golden wrapped sushi figurine. We'll be back again. The kids already asked if they can come back tomorrow

Who says kids are picky eaters? My little sushi connoisseur just proved everyone wrong at Wild Goji, San Antonio's delightful revolving sushi spot! We chose this place for her 6th birthday dinner, and let me tell you, it was pure entertainment watching her eyes light up as colorful plates of sushi paraded past on the conveyor belt. The variety here is seriously impressive - forget what you might have read in older reviews about limited options. Every few rotations brought new surprises, with fresh rolls and nigiri replacing the quickly-snatched favorites. And speaking of fresh, everything tasted like it had just leapt from the ocean onto our plates! Now, here's the jaw-dropping part: my tiny daughter, all of six years old, demolished EIGHT plates of sushi! I'm still trying to figure out where she put it all. But the real magic was watching her squeal with delight every time the delivery train whizzed by with specialty rolls. It's like dinner and a show rolled into one (pun intended)!I couldn't let her have all the fun, so I ordered the Cowboy and Castle Hill rolls - both absolutely delectable choices that proved the kitchen knows their stuff beyond the conveyor belt offerings. And just when we thought it couldn't get better, dessert plates started rolling by. Props to Wild Goji for thinking of everything! If you're looking for a fun dining experience that'll entertain the kids while satisfying adult sushi cravings, Wild Goji is your spot. And if you're ever in San Antonio with a sushi-loving six-year-old (or just the heart of one), this place is a must-visit. We'll definitely be back - my daughter has already started her plate-stacking training for our next visit!

First time here after they renovated and added the revolving sushi and bar! We absolutely love the interior and vibe here! Seriously took us back to when we visited Japan! There were plenty of options and there is a full menu of adult beverages that looked tasty. We went on a Monday at 1:00 pm and we didn't have to wait to be seated. Place was full but had a few tables. The sushi prices are yellow plates $2.95, pink plates $3.95, and purple plates $4.95. We tried the unagi nigiri, smoked salmon nigiri, salmon nigiri, torched yellow tail, yellow tail, tuna with yuzu nigiri, cheesecake, sesame ball with red bean, Godzilla roll, rainbow roll, and more. All was great and wasn't fishy. Our favorite was the salmon nigiri. Service was great and staff was friendly. When you grab the plates and cover, you will keep them on your table when you are gone. The waitress will count your plates after your meal and ring you up. You can also order rolls and items with your waitress. We got the salmon bento box and it was decent. Veggies cooked perfectly and the sauce was well balance to eat with rice. The goyza dumplings were good. Salad dressing was perfect. Salmon was over cooked and dry. Do I recommend this place? Yes! Great way to try different items for a lower cost than a traditional sushi place. Most sushi places would charge Nigri for $8-$9 but here is $3.95-$4.95 which is more affordable! We can't wait to come back when we go visit SA! Love that SA finally has a revolving sushi place now! I believe this is the only one in SA so far!
