We stumbled upon this place and it was quite interesting. There was a pinball tournament when we arrived... so it was a bit hectic of some passionate pinball players. I really liked the variety of coffee beans you can select to make your coffee. I got the cherry, toasted nuts and chocolate flavor. It was good but a sip of that woke me up! We decided to take the recommended coffee beans they recommend for expresso.

A hidden gem of San Antonio! The coffee is actually fantastic. It's easy to guess that by the long line of customers the last two times we've gone. Solid flavors and service! You'll fall in love with the atmosphere and selection of new and old pinball machines around the building too! Don't worry about quarters - they have two machines!

I'd had first heard of What's Brewing several years ago when HEB would sell their coffee. It seems HEB stopped selling their coffee so I had to seek them out to get my coffee directly from them. This place is a fun and hip location to visit. Whether you're after coffee, a snack or both this popular place is where you want to be. They have some fun pinball machines you can play while you're waiting or just want to have fun.The staff is very friendly and courteous. There is a reason this place has such high ratings... excellent coffee, atmosphere and service.

Wow! Some off the best coffees I have ever tasted. The owners take so much care in choosing growers and really knowing where the coffee comes from and the amount of care and effort it takes to produce the highest quality coffees in the world. They buy the coffee beans and then toast to perfection. Tried their CALIMAX from Guatemala as well as their Finca Santa Isabel from El Salvador. Outstanding!

They can't make matcha drinks in the slightest, but their other drinks are better.Former coffee shop and specialty tea shop barista here. My fiancé really wanted to give What's Brewing's specialty Spring Menu matcha drink a try despite our abysmal experience last time with their standard Matcha Lattes so we returned to try said drink, the Iced Shamrock, at his request. This drink was better than the last lattes we tried, only because it was actually drinkable. We don't even want to call this a matcha drink because it tasted solely of lavender. All of the flavor was at the bottom of the drink, and even having mixed it better ourselves any flavor that remained was super faint about two thirds through. It was so oversaturated with lavender that the only reason we were able to identify that there was any matcha in this drink whatsoever was its green color. My fiancé gave it two stars. As I was not so confident in their matcha drinks after our last visit, I ordered the Hot Chocolate with Almond Milk figuring it would be a safer option and it did in fact prove to be the better of the two. It came out warm, not hot, so I drank it a little faster than I'd like to have so it wouldn't get cold on me. It was mixed far better than the Iced Shamrock Latte and was really creamy and smooth. As it was made with a darker chocolate it had a pleasant bitterness to it, and the chocolate's sweetness complemented by the natural sweetness of the almond milk gave it a silky richness that paired well with the bitterness for a balance drink. It gets four stars from me.Though I'm a little glad we returned to give other drinks a try I'm still very disappointed by the consistent total failure in the matcha department, especially when I myself use the same brand at home. Their Hot Chocolate was really good and their homemade PopTarts looked really yummy too, so another visit still could be in our future.

$3.25 for a Latte! WHAT?!? Loved What's Brewing? Such a fun vibe. Open space with lots of pinball machines to play. Aside from the pinball machines they have a ton of board games you can choose from. The machines cost $1 and they do have change machines. Lots of seating in the area. I ordered a vanilla latte. I was truly surprised at how cheap it was. I've been to a ton of coffee shops and never only payed $3! Great coffee, great service and great experience! All around fun visit to the coffee shop!

I was curious about this shop as it is nestled amongst other industrial buildings on Rhapsody, but I frequently pass it when making some short cuts in my daily drive. I was excited to see that it has great reviews and so I went inside. Wow - so thankful that I did! I now have a very local roastery right at my fingertips. I don't buy my ground coffee or beans anywhere else. I've even used it for my Keurig (don't come at me, coffee snobs). Everyone is incredibly helpful when picking which bean to purchase. The coffee is delicious and truly the best I've made at home. Can't wait to bring my partner here for some good old fashioned pinball games!

After dropping my husband off at the airport, I had time to kill before a meeting and desperately needed a cup of coffee. The location is surprising because it's in a very industrial area, but they had a steady stream of customers, which speaks to the great coffee and cool place. Not only can younsit and have a fabulous cup of coffee but you can play arcade games. Really unique place.
