VIVA! Cocina Patio and Bar

19 Sep 2024The restaurant changed hands a few months back. Since our last two or so visits, the signage has now changed, and with new menus. We drove up today to a newly asphalted and striped parking lot they've changed the angle of the parking spots. So much easier now. Also the route to the drive-through is laid out for you to follow. Arrows indicating how to get out of the parking lot. A really nice job. Happy hour is 3 - 6 or 7pm. Regular beer prices are $4 for beers such as Bud and Bud Light. Imported beer is more costly. A Dos Equis is $10. That's just way overpriced for a Dos Equis. I had the Tex-mex plate: two cheese enchiladas, one crispy taco chicken or beef, a little salad, rice and beans with two corn or flour tortillas. $10The husband went with the San Antonio plate: two cheese enchiladas with beef or chicken fajitas, and the same sides as on my plate. $15 The new owner(s) have brightened up the place. The tables have been rearranged. The two TVs as usual were turned on. One above the bar and another on the opposite wall. Someone was actually sitting at the bar today. I overhead heard him order two beers, but he cautioned her to bring them out one at a time. Interesting. The server was just fine. The service here has always been fine and pleasant. Go there.

Went with my family for the 1st time this morning. Food was great, service was excellent. Thank you for a great experience. Staff is on point. I will be coming back again!

I really enjoy the food and service here. They used to be Sylvia's so many of y'all will already know it. They changed owners and names but still have the same menu and service that was great to begin with.

Excellent food for a great price. Highly recommend!!! Very consistent and delicious. From breakfast to dinner. Drive thru is very convenient

Well .... Just went back to Viva for late carry out lunch.... Mexican Plate food was good, but flour tortillas were hard, dry & probably reheated. Will probably not have late lunch/early dinner (4:00p) again & wait for higher business period when kitchen is more active & tortillas are fresh.Still like the food & availability near home.

First time here. We ordered at the drive through. We got the Texas Burrito. The description says Meat with lettuce, tomato and sour cream and covered with sauce. We received the burrito with a stuffing of picadillo...hardly any meat but loaded with potatoes and more rice inside than the rice as the side dish No lettuce...No tomatoes...and No sour cream. I wanted meat...Not picadillo. Very disappointed.... First time AND LAST TIME....If the flavor was good - than at least it would have been enjoyable. Not even a favorable picadillo. Kinda interesting...I scrapped some of the filling out to feed my pup...She walked away. No Thank You and at $14 it really didn't hit any button to want to come back.

Great service with friendly smiles from staff and owner! Food was good ! Very nice atmosphere and very clean ! Most of all I well be back and tell friends about Viva ! Cocina Patio and Bar!
