Vino Grotta

Amazing experience at Vino Grotta. Cozy restaurant vibes with an amazing wine list, tapas, live music (at least tonight), and convenient location. The service was prompt, ample parking, and fair prices. The owner came by and greeted us during our stay. Definitely recommend!

Went for the first time to the new wine bar. The place is beautiful. Service is excellent. They officially open on 2/1/25, so it's a soft opening right now. They have 100 different wines and almost all are available by the glass. We had a few appetizers, zucchini frites were our favorite. I plan to try the grilled cheese and Gouda soup next time. We will be visiting here regularly. They do recommend reservations.

Had an amazing time at Vino Grotta. The atmosphere, service, food, and wine is amazing. I especially like the massive selection of different wines available by the glass. It allows me to try different varieties at one place.

We had a group of 8 last night for a birthday party and we had a great time Beautiful wine bar with 120 wines! I don't know about food menu but we had flatbread pizzas that were good.. The service was great and they had solo singer with a gorgeous voice. Will definitely be back!

Excellent and classy with tons of great bottles by the glass! Do pass up the food! It's not your normal bar food! It's excellent! The soup, the chips, it was all great! The waitstaff are patient and knowledgeable. By far the top two in San Antonio! You must give this beautifully decorated and apportioned wine bar a visit! You won't be disappointed! Love this place!

So excited to have this gem so close to home! Amazing....but I should tell you it's terrible so it doesn't get crowded!

Fabulous wine bar with an extensive wine selection, as well as yummy small bites. They have a daily selection of $5/ 5oz pour wines. We ordered meatballs, hummus and zucchini fries. All were delicious!The atmosphere is warm and welcoming.Exceptional service!Can't wait to go back!

Love that this place is nestled back in the neighborhood! Went there with a girlfriend to check it out on grand opening weekend and we did have a reservation which I recommend as all tables were full and the bar was packed as well. Our server was attentive and helped us make selections. We tried the charcuterie, zucchini fries, meatballs, and a puff pastry thing (not bad but not my favorite). The zucchini was amazing and definitely my favorite! Wine selections were wonderful, although by 5:30, all the $5 glass options were gone. Get there early if you want to try those!! We will definitely be back. Loved the space and it's just what this area needed.

I'm so glad Vino Grotta opened in this area. They have a great wine selection and great food! We will be back for sure.

Myself and my African American wife sat at the bar and waited 15 minutes till I made eye contact with the twenty something bartender who finally acknowledged us. It was so uncomfortably long before being acknowledged that my wife started to pretend scroll on her phone. When I saw that we should have left. The owner of the establishment was standing behind the bar talking to the couple next to us the entire time and not once acknowledged us. Whenever patrons left, someone would acknowledge their departure. We left after paying our $91 tab without a single person in the establishment saying to have a nice evening. We were the only non white couple.
