This place has great menudo! I'm super picky about my menudo but this place has it their recipe down! It's mostly meat, so I add my own hominy for extra hominy.

I came to live in San Antonio Texas in March of 2003 and my wife took me there she had been going there for years before me and I was a New to the area and been going there ever since on regular basis everything is good and delicious yummy.

Everything there is amazing!! Yes there's always a long line but the people in there move fast and are friendly. The carnitas here are the best.

No, not for me. May be acceptable with great reviews. But, J haven't found a good tamale place. Yes, moist with "manteca". But, the inside was minced pork without any chili. Too dry for me. I'm to the point of making my own tamales with California red dry chili. Something is still missing with this recipe. I like large tamales, not a two bite tamale that seems like a rolled up taquito. Mexican tamales are large with thin masa and plenty of bite size pork and plenty of chile. Doesn't have to be spicy. Just juicy chile and larger chunks of meat. We also tried the buñuelos. They had so much sugar and they were over cooked. It was like having a burned tortilla. Everyone has their own method of making food. In this case, it's just not for me. The recipe isn't salty, I definitely give credit for that. I don't understand why everyone highly rated this restaurant. The menu wasn't any different. They didn't serve coffee. There was nothing special to try. Barbacoa is every where. I drove 1/2 hour to reach this location. I'll just make my own with real masa. Good luck to everyone else, this location did not make it on my list. You'll need to purchase one dozen to feed one person. Thank you, good luck . Has very short hours for a schedule. From 7-2pm and it always runs out of assortment. This is the 3rd time that I drive up and find only pork without red chili, non mild tamales. Not doing it again.

Mending delicious, but had way too much salt- Tamales 6dz were disappointing- small very little meat different lengths and thickness but small dry friends at apple bees told me they were the best no they deinfinitely were not-

Great flour tortillas, tamales, barbacoa! Menudo was ok, just didn't have enough hominy. Green sauce was good enough but I wish it was slightly hotter/spicier.

The best barbacoa in San Antonio. Tamales are very good and reasonably priced.I tried the menudo for the first time and I was very impressed

Muy buen lugar las tortillas de Harina las recomiendo más que las de maíz. La salsa verde y pico de gallo con los huevos saben muy ricas más que nada la salsa verde.

Tasty tamales and tortillas! We found it was the only place open the Monday after Christmas and we really enjoyed a hot, steaming, fresh batch of pork tamales. We picked up the tortillas to try and they were also on point.
