Velvet Taco

It had been so long since I went to Velvet Taco. The food was really good and I really enjoyed the combo option they have of two tacos, a side and a drink. The meal was super filling and very affordable. I loved the elote and the buffalo chicken taco was delicious! Staff was super nice too! They ran out of queso and only had curry queso and they were able to give my husband a sample to try before ordering.

Never found a taco restaurant with so many different selections of odd tacos. The flavors were fantastic!! Service was ok. Not much welcoming when we arrived, very stoic girl at counter. But food came out pretty quickly. Atmosphere was nice with fun signs scattered throughout the restaurant.

We went to velvet taco since they had vegan/vegetarian options. We got 2 different tacos, Nashville hot and regular cauliflower tacos. Nashville had too much sauce to appreciate the taco. Cauliflower tacos were delicious and very fulfilling. Staff was great in explaining the menu.

Velvet taco has some really good fusion tacos quite a variety and very yummy! If you've never eaten here, you should give it a try!

This place was so tasty and trendy! This was a nice spot that made ordering easy and received my food rather quickly. The food was fresh and hit different palate notes salty, spicy, savory, crispy and crunchy! Putting that egg on the dish was decedent just topped it off for me! I was glad to have had that dish. Parking was easy.

While we were visiting San Antonio, we looked up this location and decided to give it a try. As soon as we walked in, the establishment was clean and inviting with great music at the right level of noise. We were a group of six, wanted to try every taco, ordered nacho Trio, Birria nachos, a couple orders of tots, and the margarita with the shot! The manager or owner was very kind, super friendly, and made some great recommendations.

Velvet Taco is a casual, quick service restaurant offering a variety of tacos containing chicken, pork, fish, vegetarian and beef. My favorites so far are the #17 Mexi-Cali shrimp taco, the #18 chicken waffle taco and the roasted corn in a cup (it's pretty addictive)! My kids love the seasoned chicken strips and tater tots (both are fantastic). My only issue is when I ordered additional food in the app from my table, my name was never called when my order was ready so it sat there, getting cold. Unfortunately, the app didn't notify me it was ready either so the temperature of the food was disappointing. Outside of ordering through the app, the food options are great.Update: I have figured out how to identify "tableside delivery" in the app on the final screen before ordering, so I've started using this setting when placing orders in the app, but it only results in my food coming to the table 50% of the time. When the food doesn't come to the table, my name is called on the intercom but it's a win because I'm alerted the food is ready.

Best "white people" tacos in town. No really, we love them. Margaritas are decent and the Queso is delicious. Very unique Taco choices with tons of flavor. I always recommend this place as it wont disappoint. Now if you are looking for authentic Mexican tacos, this is not your place. All my hispanic friends made it very clear, it is tacos for gringo's. There is a time and place for this cuisine and the tacos are a bit above avg in pricing but its worth it. Enjoy!

Great tacos and plenty of options here , there is a lot of unique combinations and they all tasted great with a Few exceptions. I really liked the chimchuri steak and a couple of the other fan favorites. I didn't like that some tacos had rice in them , it just doesn't make sense. They also choose the tacos shell , they don't give you an option to choose the shell. This place is open late and has good tacos for reasonable prices . Service was good and foood came out quick. Seating area is not very comfortable

These Tex-Mex tacos have unique options for all. If you are looking for authentic tacos this is not the place. Clean and quick location
