Union Station Diner

We wanted to have breakfast in our area and saw that it had decent reviews so we gave it a shot. Parking was a little difficult since it was packed and it was right in the corner but we managed to find a good spot. Once we arrived we were quickly seated and greeted by who I assumed was the manager. He was very polite and got us a highchair for our son.We both ended up getting the Hungry Texan since it had a bit of everything, and for our son we got the kids silver dollar pancakes. Everything was delicious and came out in decent time. The only reason I deducted a star for this place was the military discount. Since the place had military memorabilia all around the cafe I asked if they had military discount. The server stated that it would only count towards the military individual. We showed that I was a veteran and my girlfriend was active duty and she stated "Ok". Once we received our check we noticed that the discount only deducted $1.70 from a $48 check, which was about a 3% deduction. I feel that you shouldn't even have a military discount at that point since it's so low. I love food and don't care if you have military discount or not, but awesome if you do. But if you have it and it's a sad percent discount off, you should just take it away and save the trouble of the server and not make the military vet/active duty feel a little disrespected.

1st time trying this place. Had the chicken fried steak w/ mash, corn TX toast, wife had the short stack blueberry p/c boys had the Texas Burger other had the double burger. All told, the food was great, the steak was fork tender, seasoned? Eh...but tasty. The pancakes were good. The burgers are very good. We give this 4 out of 5The service was very, very good. The price, and it's not a one $ it's more 2 $$That's why 4

There are so few places where you can find a good tuna melt - and this is the best I've had in a long time. It's made with rye bread and plenty of melty cheese. The crinkle fries that come with it are crispy and always hot. My husband had the Hungry Texan - 2 eggs, 3 types of meat, hash browns, a biscuit and 2 pancakes. Both of our lunches were so generous we did not need dinner tonight. Service is good and staff is friendly.

Forgot to take pictures of our food but I came here for brunch yesterday with some coworkers and I really loved this spot. It is so cute with all of the old school antiques and railroad themed decor. It is a small restaurant but we were seated very quickly and the service overall was great. I ordered the hungry Texan and everything was so good. My coworker got the same thing but upgraded the pancakes for French toast and I tried a bite and it was so good. You could tell that they really spice the egg wash batter with lots of cinnamon which I love. I would definitely recommend!

It was our first time at the Union diner, and the experience was for us. The wait time was extremely long very busy not enough parking in the parking lot. I had to do a few circles to get a parking spot. You have to wait in the cold if it is cold outside, they do have heaters, but it is still cold, you have to rush to eat because waiting wait for everything in the food isn't that good for wait

The owner is very nice. The food prices were very fair and everything tasted great. Highly recommend if you aren't looking for a fancy outing. After lunch, you can walk across the street to an ice cream parlor. Great combo. Moose Out

Had a great breakfast here. Sunday morning at 7am, Labor Day weekend. Got a biscuit with a side of sausage gravy. The biscuit was soft and buttery. The gravy was made with what seemed like cubed up sausage links. The sausage had a great taste and a bit spicy flavor. Ordered the cinnamon roll. Mammoth roll was so soft and absolutely delicious. Hub got the French toast and liked it. The bacon although looking sad and thin, had good flavor and chew. Just the bite needed to bring down the sweet of the cinnamon roll frosting. The hash brown needed a few more min on the grill...was very pale looking, but the flavor was bomb. It had an oniony aftertaste....mmmm. I appreciated the coffee creamer option of vanilla. Very affordable breakfast...$30 for all that food for two of us.

So disappointed in my most recent visit. Will never return here again. Have you ever witnessed pure hatred in someone's eyes before? If you are any other color than white steer clear of this establishment. My family and I are latino and have been coming here on and off, mostly doing to go orders because of the funky vibe we would get in the restaurant. But this weekend took the cake for me. My best friend came to visit me this weekend who happens to be Afghani. And I was utterly mind blown at the treatment we received. The death stares, the employees discussing and trying to figure out who to make serve us. Racism is a real thing and these individuals give Texans a bad name. Extremely disappointed in this ignorance.

Amazing food, fantastic service. One of the best omelets I have ever had. The biscuits were amazing soft and almost melt in your mouth. Definitely a place I would go back to.
