Good portion sizes. The burger was large and good.The peach cobbler had just a little too much cinnimon, but the vanilla ice cream was outstanding and fresh. There really was no wait staff, but the cashier and lady who took orders were both friendly, professional, and courteous. The restaurant has an old-timey atmosphere with signs from defunct products and companies or old fashioned logos and kind of a casual barn-like ambiance.

Been coming here for years and still the same great service and hands down one of the best burgers in San Antonio

Was dissatisfied in their service today. My daughter ordered reg burger combo & specified no mustard & I ordered burger/hotdog combo & said I would be sharing it & if they could cut in half & serve separately. They put the burger w/no mustard in the burger/hotdog combo & then didn't bother to cut & serve my order as I had requested. There were maybe 2 other tables with customers & no line, no large parties.

Big fat greasy cheeseburgers, my fave! Loads of onions, pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, & bacon!!! So much bacon I can share it with my wife & make two bacon cheeseburgers! Yes, I love the food, it is fresh & delicious, always! So thank you Uncle Barney! The place doesn't take credit cards, so one has to take the order slip in hand. Then take the ticket through the restaurant next door (Hungry Farmer) to pay at their counter for your order at Uncle Barney`s. Why not just get another cc machine instead of inconveniencing your customers?? Asking for a friend....Anyhow, they take cash but it has to be a lower denomination, no $50 or $100 bills. Idk, last I checked that`s cash. Refills aren`t free, parking seems to always be packed, go early

Walk in. Girl asks cash or card. We sat card and she says the card reader is down. Why ask then? Put a sign up so we don't walk in and wait in line for her to tell us that? Where is the common sense?

They accept cash no 50.00 or 100.00 bills lol. I think you can use a card if you pay across the street. I swear to god go businesses do all this extra stuff. Bruh if someone want to pay with melted down silver or gold I would take that hahaha. Heck I would take PayPal and bitcoin too lol. Anyway. Back to the food. Pretty dam good burger. We got bacon cheese burgers with onion rings and fries. Everything was really fresh and seasoned just right. Pretty nice size lunch crowd and our food still came out really fast. The prices are very reasonable too. The bacon was really fresh. So was the beef. I enjoyed it. I would like to see them add some wings to their menu. I would definitely stop by next time I am in the area. Very soldi burger. The onion rings were really good.

We loved uncle Barney's for a good ole fashioned burger. The burger was tasty and flavorful. The burger was also much larger than expected. I got the hamburger combo with fries and drink. I could barely finish my burger. So next time no combo.

This place is Funny. I've been coming here on n off for 20 years with my parents. Today we went and ordered $79 worth of food. They do not accept cards or bills $50 or higher. We had to pay with 7 -$10 bills and 1- $5 bill and 4 -$1 bills. The cashier raised every bill into the light to confirm it was not counterfeit. There is a sign that says if you need change, go to Hungry Farmer. (Which is in the same building)Cashier was super Rude and wanted us to order 1 item at a time. We couldn't order multiples. Ex. "I'll have 4 #5's" She said "NO ORDER 1 at a time"Food was great! No complaints

Fantastic, fresh, homemade burgers!! Wonderful, old fashioned burgers!! Can't tell you how much we loved these burgers. The salty, fried pickles are a bit to salty but the burgers are top notch!!
