This place is nice, nice spot for hanging with a friend or date! Walked in and we were immediately greeted and sat, make a reservation because you may need it, our server was very attentive and everyone offered suggestions, we were starving so we started with a salad and the deviled eggs, the salad amazing, I believe the dressing is homemade, I added pancetta to mine and it was so good! We ordered the deviled eggs, these are not your typicalDeviled eggs, I wasn't a fan of them, they are moreLike a boiled eggs of some sort, I also ordered the pizza,And OMGGGGGGGGGGG it was amazing,I could've ordered one to go lol, I also had the bolognese and sangrias, overall everything was amazing,The ambiance, the service, the food, try this place out and you won't be disappointed

We just spent 20 miserable minutes in this place and finally walked out! I made out of town reservations on line, including a note that this was a special pre-valentines dinner for me & my wife.Bad service began when we weren't even greeted at the door. We stood at the wait stand for an awkward eternity with plenty of staff nearby but not one greeted us or made eye contact. When they finally noticed us we got led to a table at the far end of the dining room, a cold, dark table for 2. Meanwhile, another couple who came after us was getting seated at a brightly lit 4-top nearby. I never sat down - instead, I flagged down the Maître d and said we'd like to move to one of the other 4-tops - we were cold at our table and it was so dark we couldn't read the menu. She gruffly told me she wasn't sure, and would go check. I stood waiting for the staff to reseat us for an inordinate length of time. The Maître d finally returned to the dining room, never looked at me, talked with her servers and left. The only person who seemed to care was the busboy attempting to pour our water. I continued to stand as we declined and told him again, we needed to move tables. I guess these guys think it's normal for a guest to be standing angrily in a cold dark corner for 10minutes or more. Well it is not OK! We gathered our things and made our way out. We finally had someone ask what we needed as we neared the exit. I explained how we'd been ignored from the moment we walked in and we'd had enough. "Oh, that's not how we are," he said. My wife let him have it at that point, "yes, she said, that's exactly how you are!" Be warned - on a cold, winter night, we got the cold shoulder!

Tre Trattoria is known for its Tuscan-inspired dishes, offering everything from house-made pastas to wood-fired pizzas, all in a stylish and modern space at the San Antonio Museum of Art. This was my first time visiting since the restaurant moved from its Broadway location to its home at the museum, and unfortunately, it wasn't quite the seamless dining experience I remembered from before. We arrived on a Tuesday evening with a 7 PM reservation and were seated immediately in a mostly empty dining room--just two other tables inside and three tables out on the patio. Our server, though kind and apologetic, let us know they were short-staffed that evening, with only two servers handling the floor. This led to long waits for drinks, food orders, and the arrival of dishes, making the dinner feel disjointed.Food-wise, we started with the burrata, which was delicious and easily the highlight of the evening. It was creamy and flavorful, a great start while sipping on an Aperol spritz. For my main course, I went with the goat cheese pizza and added pancetta, following the server's recommendation. It was okay--not bad, but nothing standout or memorable.I ended the meal with the Nutella 3x dessert, which used to be my favorite part of the meal back when Tre Trattoria was on Broadway. This time, though, it didn't quite hit the same notes. It was still good, but something about it just felt a little off--maybe the texture, the flavors, or the overall execution. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but it wasn't the show-stopping finish I'd anticipated. While Tre Trattoria has a great reputation and a stunning location at the museum, this visit fell short of what I've experienced in the past. I hope this was just an off night, but I'm not sure I'll be rushing back anytime soon.

5 stars for the ambiance. It's a beautiful restaurant and really will not go unless we can sit on the patio. The patio makes this place. 3 stars for the service. Was slow. Took a long time to get food. Server was visually frustrated by the wait. Server was good. She could only do so much. and even when the food showed it was under cooked. The bolognese was great. Usually my go to but I love risotto and wanted to try it. It was very undercooked. It was chewy and had a lot of runoff liquid I'm not accustomed to with any other risotto's I have had. Would not recommend it. The bolognese- YES get that. The fresh pulled mozzarella was also fantastic. Highly recommend that. Go check them out and decide for yourself.

Location. Location. Location. Part of the Museum Reach and built into the old Lone Star Brewing Company. Absolutely love the patio overlooking the Riverwalk. Nice breeze. People enjoying a Saturday afternoon downtown. Parking is across the street. You can enter through the museum into the courtyard, or you can go around the museum to the back. The service was spot on. The hostess was approachable and helpful with the drink menu. The waiter was timely and nice.I started with a Saintly Dog and the Deviled Eggs. The grapefruit and lime drink was refreshing, and the deviled eggs were creamy. The truffle oil was a bonus. I followed with gnocchi which had a unique twist with orange and dates. I would have liked the dates cut into smaller prices to match the walnuts. It was hard to get the date and the gnocchi in the same bite. All in all, a good Saturday late afternoon stop!

We had an amazing experience at Tre Trattoria this weekend! Everything was top notch!! The food was delicious. Highly recommend the deviled eggs with truffle oil, the burrata, the soppressata pizza and the smoked Gouda radiatore pasta. The drinks were great and we were told that they will be coming up with more soon. Our server was so attentive and helpful with it being our first time. We will be back on our next visit. It's a beautiful location tucked behind the museum and right by the river.

I'm so thankful we have technology and help to find places like this, I'm not sure how well known it is to other people in SA or those that are not foodies but my goodness friends... this restaurant is SO freaking delicious and cool.So it's a little hidden in that it is behind the art museum, and you have to walk through these gates on the side to get to it. The walk is very enjoyable and let me tell you the VIEWS on the patio are exceptional. Our server was great and talked us through the menu a bit and gave some good recommendations. I do not think you will have a bad dish here, I think it's impossible! I cannot wait to come back, and my compliments to Chef Jason Dady

The overall experience was okay. The service was great, and the atmosphere was good, but the food was just average. The gnocchi was $24 and the Bolognese was $20, but neither dish left a lasting impression. If you're looking for a spot with good service and a nice ambiance, it's worth a visit, but don't expect to be wowed by the food.

Delicious and fresh food, very very friendly service. Was even checked in on by the GM multiple times! It was just a little difficult finding our way to the restaurant since it's behind the San Antonio Museum of Art. I'll include photos on how to get there in my review Went here for restaurant week and look forward to coming back again!

Outdoor seating is abundant and spacious. The view of the river is stunning. I chose to eat inside at the bar because I just walked 1.5 miles along the river to get here. Chris was the bartender and he was delightful. I went with his recommendation for the crunchy skun trout for lunch ($19) and I'm glad I did. Lunch is a la carte so I added a farrow salad that was doused with parmesan cheese that was light and refreshing. It had hints of walnut that complemented the parm. This is the perfect place to eat if you're visiting the SAMA as it's basically colocated.
