We came as a party of 5 to celebrate a Birthday on a Thursday eve, day after Christmas. Being our first time here, the host told us about the $30 all you can eat sushi... yes , deal let's do it! A bit of a 30 min wait, but no biggie, plenty of stores around that kept us busy. We were texted availability was on, but were then notified that all you can eat was only available at the bar area? What?! No bueno, as a group seating wise, that does not work for interaction. We were not told that earlier. He sat us at a table next to the sushi bar area, all you can eat should apply...actually it should be available anywhere in the restaurant because size wise, it's not that large. Oh well. Our server was sweet. We all ordered, and I went for the long roll variety, which consisted of 4 pieces each of 4 of their popular rolls. It included miso soup and cucumber salad. Our server asked us which condiments we wanted, we asked for all- ginger, soy sauce, wasabi, eel sauce, and spicy mayo. Note: must ask for condiments of liking and refills as they do not like to waste. I really enjoyed the miso soup and cucumber salad. Everyone's sushi dishes arrived around the same time. Presentation of all was gorgeous! Taste wise, I and others at the table found flavors to be quite bland. Most of us doused our sushi pieces in spicy mayo, wasabi, and eel sauce. Overall just ok. Service was good,Military discount is offered.

This place is pretty meh, they don't have any interesting fish or sushi. The wait staff was very inattentive. Many classic sushi rolls were either missing or named was changed for reasons that's not clear. Over all I would say this is a sushi place for people that has only tried HEB and not very experimental when it comes to sushi. I will not be going back.

We have been to Trappers 3 times and each time has been great! The restaurant has always been clean, the service always great (same waitress each visit) and the food fresh and delicious! The shishito Peppers are some of the best I've ever had and the sushi is always fresh! I had my first raw scallop there and I enjoyed it, which i usually don't enjoy raw seafood! The sake selection is great and a top notch selection of beer! We usually stop in after shopping and evey time has been great! As long as the food stays fresh and the beer cold well definitely continue to visit Trappers!!

We dined in for sushi today. We ordered the Bonney lake, Samantha, skywalker and some gyoza for an appetizer. As per usual the sushi was delicious and seemed fresh. Trappers is our favorite sushi place as it's all over the PNW too. I love there's different variations and options on the menu. There is something for everyone. The restaurant is kept up nicely and clean. The staff are very nice as well and we had great service. tip: they offer military discount too :)

When you think of a sushi place what is the main ingredient that should be right? Rice. Well today it was not good, asked for it twice and never got any hotter. It was room temp at best, talked to manager and he checked the machine. Guess it wasn't plugged in ? Got salmon dinner and the salmon looked esp small. They have veggies but there was tempura on it, that's gluten. No where does it say on the menu but according to the server it was. I checked again and it was not mentioned. Kind enough to give me a grilled substitution. Took awhile but it was the only hot item on my plate. Guess most disappointing was they didn't really apologize for anything and still charged me full price. Nice ppl, server, but at these prices, and competition nearby, not sure I'll be back anytime soon.Btw the cucumber salad is too spicy, watch out.

We love Trappers it's local to where we are from so we were so excited to learn one was moving so close to us here in San Antonio! We love to bring the whole family since they have great options for kids, and non sushi loving people! They also have raw and not raw rolls which is a great way to introduce yourself to sushi if your on the fence! My kids ASK to go here because they love the Macaroni Balls, Edamame, and Trapper Bites. Highly recommend if you're looking for a family friendly sushi environment.Bonus: kids eat free on Sundays! Love that they made it so family friendly here.

Welp...they got me again! Saying I'm addicted to their sushi is under-kill. I walked in and the hostess knew exactly who I was. That should say a lot. The sushi here hits the spot EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!I still stand behind my last review, so there's not much more to say, except..RUN, don't walk, to Trapper's Sushi. 10 outta 10, highly recommend!

Not a fan. Really it's 2 stars and not 1, because the waitress was very nice. I love sushi but the quality of this sushi here just wasn't there for me. I had both sashimi and nigiri. I'm not sure if they were just very off today because their other location opened this weekend and maybe they were sharing staff. Also the sashimi came with a huge side of some sort of squid salad and seaweed salad that was way more than the actual sashimi on the plate and wasn't listed as included on the menu. Wasn't a fan of these and didn't touch them. I will pay for good sushi, but here they were overpriced for the quality and what we experienced. Additionally the water had a really musty and weird taste to it. I forgot at one point and took a sip and immediately regretted it. The second order of nigiri we got looked like the sushi had been through some sort of shredder, the first round did not look like that so not sure what happened there. We likely won't come here again. We will stick to our other spots.

Went into Trappers last night and decided to place a togo order. The order placing process was very quick and easy and they let us know it would take about 15-20 minutes for our food to come out so we decided to get a drink at the bar. We were greeted by the bar tender as soon as we walked up. It was our first time here so we decided to get a Trappers Breeze and a Sake Bomb. The drinks were exactly what we needed and they came out in a very timely matter. The bartender seemed a little busy but still engaged in conversation and made sure we had everything we needed. What felt like 5 minutes passed and a man brought our food to us at the bar and notified us two of our rolls were in the same box so there was no confusion. We got home and enjoyed our yummy rolls. By far some of the best sushi we've had Overall we had a great experience and will definitely be back to enjoythe dine in experience. Way to go Trappers!
