I can't get over how amazing Toro was. From the service to the ambiance to the food. Everything was outstanding! We decided to take my stepmom here for happy hour, which features tapas and a bunch of different drinks. When we first walked in we were immediately amazed by the interior decor. It was so nice and modern and did a great job showcasing the overall vibe of Toro. They had their famous dry aged meats hanging up all over the restaurant, as well as liquor used as decoration. Our server and the bartender took great care of us. They were so attentive and made great recommendations. The drinks were delicious! We started out with Patatas Bravas, which were fried potatoes paired with a spicy sauce. I'm glad our server warned us beforehand and gave us the option to put the spicy sauce on the side, because it did have a hefty kick to it. The potatoes were well seasoned and crispy. We got some Calamares Fritos, which is their version of calamari. The octopus was perfectly cooked and not rubbery at all. The aioli on the side was amazing! Our personal favorite had to have been the Toro Paella, which was highly recommended to us by our server. It's their award winning dish and I can understand why. The paella was delicious! I had never had paella before, so I wasn't too sure what to expect, but I'm so glad we ordered it. It had a generous amount of a variety of proteins and had amazing flavor too. Definitely a must try!I wanted to highlight the service again, because I had mentioned to the bartender we were celebrating a heavenly birthday for our stepmoms mom, and she went above and beyond for us. They brought out a dessert with a candle, and my stepmom was brought to tears over the kind gesture from the staff. Amazing food and even better service. Can't wait to come back next time we're in town!

Toro Kitchen is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is vibrant, warm, and welcoming--perfect for a night out with friends or family. The highlight for me was the Toro Margarita; it was perfectly balanced, refreshing, and hands down one of the best margaritas I've had. The food was equally impressive, with bold flavors and great presentation. The staff was attentive and friendly, making the entire experience even better. If you're looking for amazing drinks, delicious food, and a fantastic vibe, Toro Kitchen is the place to go! I can't wait to visit again. Only complaint is the patio was empty and it was cold out. They wouldn't allow us an extra heater that was already lit to be closer to our table.

This location is my favorite in town. Toro + Kitchen offers an intimate ambiance and authentic Spanish dishes that make for a fantastic dining experience. It's a great spot for enjoying cocktails and tapas with friends out in their patio. However, if you're there for entrees, be sure to plan ahead and consider the timing of your order. Some dishes can take up to 30 minutes to prepare properly, as they can't be rushed. But it's definitely worth the wait for high-quality, flavorful meals. Don't be shy the waiters are there to guide you through the variety of Spaniard cuisine. A great spot for a relaxed, flavorful evening!

We made reservations and when we arrived we were seated right away. They give guests a coat tree to hang jackets or purses/bags and I thought that was a great touch. The decor was endless bottles of wine on almost every wall! Our server was very nice and patient with us since we had a lot of questions about the menu being our first time visiting this restaurant. We order several tapas; solomollo, patatas bravas, champinones lugo, as well as a charcuterie board and paella. Everything was packed with flavor and tasted authentic. The ingredients were fresh and prepared with care and detail. The paella itself was a symphony of flavors and textures that offers a satisfying and memorable dining experience. In addition to the food, the service was awesome! We didn't have to wait long at all for the food to come out, it was perfectly timed. This is definitely a great spot for date night. The drinks were good and the food is great. Highly recommended and high on my list of great food in San Antonio.

Stopped in for lunch earlier at Toro (Stone Oak location) hadn't checked out the new space since they moved .. it's gorgeous !! The best part I had it all to myself today got some work done and enjoyed the atmosphere very much. They have inside & outside seating. Great happy hour. The sangria is like $11 a glass and the pitcher was $18 during happy hour and they packed up the rest for me to take The food was tasty, fresh, and packed with flavor. Service was excellent, waitress had great recommendations. Would make for a perfect date night spot. Check them out

Came here for dinner whileIn town. Sat outside for dinner. Very peacefulWith music playing. Ordered drinks and a ceaser salad. Salad was decent but a bit too much dressing. Ordered the hot cheese with honey. We had to send back as not that hot so got another order. We had some bread with it and was charged $3. It was ok. We got their famous Toro Paella for 1-2. Came with 2 shrimp, 2 mussels, a few calamari, chicken and lots of sausage. It did come very hot. Prices reasonable except the $3 bread charge.

This place is great for date night. Wonderful and comfortable atmosphere. A Spanish band was playing the night we were there and they were very good and made the experience fun. Now the best part, the food was great. We enjoyed steak/Soshito peppers and also Calamari as our delicious appetizers followed up by great Seafood Paella we shared for main course. The food paired well with some of the best mixed drinks you can find. To conclude, awesome experience without breaking the bank.

Our party of four (2 couples) visited Toro Stone Oak on a Saturday night. We had a reservation for 7:00; we were seated promptly upon arrival. The restaurant was almost full and a Spanish guitarist was playing. We were seated directly in front of the guitarist and although he was not playing very loud, it was very difficult to have a conversation as we couldn't hear each other over the music Our waiter graciously moved us to another table where we could talk without yelling. We ordered a variety of drinks and several food items to share. We kept a menu at the table so we could continue to order additional items as we ate. All food orders came out quickly which provided perfect timing for our dinner. Some of the items we enjoyed included Jamon Iberica, Solomillo, Patatas Bravas, Pulpo Al Ajillo, Queso De Cabra Frito, and Champiñones Lugo. When we received the bill, it listed several things that we did not order. It also included a "Processing Fee" that appeared to be approx 4% of the total bill. Our waiter apologized for the unordered items and promptly removed them. But he could not provide an explanation what the "Processing Fee" was for.Management: If you feel you need more revenue, increase your menu prices. Don't charge a separate "Processing Fee" that appears to be an additional charge for your overhead expenses. And.....provide your waitstaff with an answer for astute customers who ask about this fee. "I don't know" is not a satisfactory answer! And along the same lines: Your suggested gratuities on the bottom of the bill are a percentage of the ENTIRE bill - food, drinks, tax, and the mysterious Processing Fee. Why should I pay a gratuity on sales tax and fees? Despite the less-than-pleasant interactions about the bill, we thoroughly enjoyed the service, ambience, and food at Toro. We would definitely go back.
