Stumbled upon this little gem after a night out with friends and happy I did. This little bar has such a great atmosphere perfect for socializing. There is a good selection of cocktails. I ordered the mezcal margarita which is kind of what this place is known for. So good!! The mezcal gives the margarita a nice smokiness that complements the citrus well! The staff is very friendly and inviting! If you're near the area I would definitely skip the crowded bars and give this place a try!

Been here a few times and it doesn't suck. Great dive bar but with a modern vibe. I feel like I'm in El Paso. Want a great daiquiri? How about a line star tall boy? You can get that here and much much more. The service is awesome and the happy hour/service industry nights are even better.

The mezcal cocktails are top tier! The frozen strawberry mezcal was recommended by a bartender and I'm so glad he did! It was perfect on a hot Texas day. Great ambience and music, as always. Definitely one of the best hidden gems of SA.

We came across this bar randomly while out walking around town, it's hard to notice at first as it looks like a regular house from the outside, but I think google helped us find it after we were disappointed in another place nearby. I was a little hesitant to go in originally, but glad that I did, as this feels like the place we got the most non touristy San Antonio experience we had. It's far enough away from the river walk that I imagine the majority of people here were not there on spring break, but close enough that you can certainly walk from the river walk.It has a really nice vibe and seems like the type of place adults should go for a drink at night. It's dark inside and nicely decorated, adding to the ambience. On this night there was a person providing some kind of musical entertainment, but it was not so loud that you could not have a conversation, which is important to me at my current age when I go out at night. We tried a variety of drinks, but now I can not remember what they were, but they were all tasty, although pricey. I do remember that we decided to leave a few times, but were not successful and just ended up staying til nearly closing. It was not the best weather so we did not take advantage of the backyard area. I'd definitely come back here on my next visit.

So I'm not gonna lie...the Aguas Frescas here are the best you've ever had!!! And the draft beer selection is on point!BUT...the bathrooms are nasty! I get the ambiance of the blue light but for the love of all that's good...put in a real light bulb when you clean them!!! Ugh. I can't have more than one drink here since that would require me to go to the bathroom again!!

I'm not sure how long this bar has been around, but it reminds me of old school bars where you could enjoy a night out without breaking the bank. I'm sure at one point that's what it was. They do have daily specials, but drinks can get pricy. The front of the bar looks a little run down. Once inside, you have your typical bar feel. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the bar staff. It was during the day, so the inside of the bar wasn't busy, but the back patio was. They had a dj playing popular tejano, Cumbias, bachata. They also had a food truck on site which made it perfect for Sunday brunch. We took advantage of their mimosa set up. It included a bottle of champagne, orange juice, grapefruit juice and mixed fruit. I also wanted to try their $4 tecate light with Tony topper special. I'm glad I did. The tecate can is topped with tamarindo rim, a slice of pickle and Chinese candy. It does make for a good combination. Staff was always around to take your order. The only con is that the bathrooms were out of order and they had Porta Potty's. They were so gross. I held it and made it home, but that only meant that I had to limit my liquid consumption. Parking is street parking.

A cozy bar I never knew existed. Tucked away on the corner of Brooklyn Ave and Avenue E. I've seen the neon sign quite a bit but never knew where those pics were taken. I think it's a perfect little bar for a quiet low key date night. I ordered a simple drink, staff was very friendly. The neon sign is very instagrammable. Worth the visit.

Always a good time with bartenders who not only know how to mix a drink, but are friendly and fun.The frozen jamaica/mezcal drink is deadly (but delicious).Food trucks out back are solid. Regularly rotating and changing.Clean bathrooms, wide variety of seating and a low-key vibe with a soundtrack that is always just 'right' for the crowd.
