Tlahco Mexican kitchen

The food at Tlahco Mexican is always great. I have been here several times and my favorite plate is the birria. Also, their cafe de olla is very good! The only downside is that they are always very busy and no reservations are accepted, only waitlist and the spacing in the back room is very crowded.

Holy moly !! This is one of my favorite breakfast/brunch I have ever had in America. Maybe its because of my long run the day before and I was ravenous but I love this place!!Not a long wait on a Sunday at all, their menu is huge with eggs options, enchiladas, rice, and a bunch of side options, desserts and drinks. Mexican food galore. The servers are swift and professional, I love that, no excessive chit chat but attentive. There are lots of Hispanic patrons so ... I think they should be good even for Hispanics cause I am no expert in Mexican food. I got the enchimoles, and devoured it. The chips they served out at the beginning is amazing, comes with two salsas and a meaty bean dip. The guava pie was yummy too, lovely crust and good guava flavor.Bookmark this place for your SA visit.

The menu offers some unique dishes you won't easily find elsewhere--although I can't recall the exact names, they left a lasting impression.One suggestion for improvement would be enhancing the music setup. They currently play music through a small radio, which doesn't quite match the cozy and laid-back vibe of the space. Adding a proper sound system with ambient music would elevate the atmosphere and make it even more inviting.It's important to note that Tlahco can get quite busy, so timing your visit is key to avoiding long waits. However, the food and overall experience make it worth the effort. Whether you're stopping by for a leisurely breakfast or a relaxed dinner, I highly recommend Tlahco Mexican Restaurant for its delicious offerings and authentic charm.

The best cafe de olla I have tasted! Great service! Price is really good for how good the food is!!! Everything we had was amazing!! I will definitely come back to this place 100% the stu d jalapeño- tacos, sopes and huevos rancheros were !! Love this place! No wonder people kept coming in! This place is 5/5

Best Mexican food ever. Terrific service. Well kept and the special custom Mexican service wear and mugs are beautiful. We recommend this place to anyone who wants authentic Mexican food.

Place was friendly and service was fast. I took off one star because the sopes I ordered were tiny. They were tasty but for the price they should've been bigger. They give out free chips and salsa which also come with a side of their beans and chorizo. The beans were so delicious, I wanted more. The salsas were tasty especially the red sauce which had lots of spice and a nice roasted flavor. I got the carne asada and chicharrones sope. The taste was phenomenal. Tasted homemade but again the size was tiny. My partner ordered a cheese enchilada which came with rice and beans. If you order a meal it's worth the price since they give you a lot of food.

I visited Tlahco Mexican Kitchen for the first time, and it was amazing! This casual spot serves some of the best Mexican food I've had in San Antonio, with fresh ingredients and delicious dishes.We started with the Conchas Con Nata--four warm, soft conchas served with hot chocolate and whipped cream for dipping. The conchas weren't too sweet, and dipping them in the smooth hot chocolate made them even better. It was such a treat!I also had their Café de Olla, and it was fantastic. I usually don't finish my coffee at Mexican restaurants, but this one was so good that I drank it all and even asked for more.For my main dish, I tried the Huevos Benitos. It had two poached eggs, beans, and chorizo on sopecitos, topped with poblano sauce and queso fresco. Everything tasted great, and the sopecitos had just the right mix of crispy and soft textures.The restaurant had a casual vibe, and the staff was friendly and helpful.I would definitely recommend Tlahco Mexican Kitchen to anyone. The food is fresh and delicious, and I can't wait to go back!

AUTHENTIC Mexican food! This place deserves more than five stars! The cafe de olla is heavenly! I had to take one to go for the following day. Chilaquiles divorciadas is perfect if you are between red or green sauce. They're both savory, but my taste buds prefer green sauce. Ordered 5 mini tacos de al pastor, birria, & bisteck. It's hard to select the best meat since they were all tender & seasoned well. Our server was courteous even while staying busy. Restaurant was very aesthetic from their Mexican traditional clay plates to their interior design. Highly recommend this place!

Food was amazing! I definitely pigged out and had to have dessert even though I was full. I fell in love with the Chori Bean and chips and the panqueques con cajeta.

Good food , Great service and that Birria is on point couldn't ask for more ! I will definitely be coming back continuously
