Tink-A-Tako Mexican Food

The food was prepared quickly through the drive thru. I didn't have to wait long at all and was handed a neatly packaged to go container with two different salsas & piping hot super fresh flour tortillas. The woman working the drive thru was very friendly. The enchiladas were your standard San Antonio Tex-Mex delights. Definitely tasty but nothing that really sets it apart from so many other great mexican restaurants in the city (which is hard to do here!) Great flavor and texture to the refried beans, and really soft, moist Spanish rice. A little pricier than some other enchilada plates in the area.

I have fond memories of eating at Tink-A-Tako, when I was a teenager, that when my boyfriend and I were in the area for this location I knew we had to stop. I was able to convince him that we should stop in and try some bean and cheese tacos before we got back on the road back home (Austin). It was pretty quiet when we got inside to eat, around 1pm on a Saturday, so we sat down immediately and were given menus right off the bat by a waitress. She started off speaking Spanish to us and once she realized we were ordering in English she switched with another waitress. Later it became a little confusing who was servicing us as we go through our meal. Our order included bean and cheese tacos and a couple of carne guisada ones as well. The order came out fast and the food was fine and honestly it was nothing spectacular. The tortillas were good but all subpar. Parking was easy at this location. No one told us but you have to go up to the counter to pay for your meal/order once you are done. Be sure to check the table number before you leave because when you go up to the counter you may be asked where or what number you were sitting at.

Ordered some carne asada tacos for lunch. Contents Were about 50% fat. Then I found a chunk of bone in it as well. Lemonade was good though.

Good breakfast tacos. Coffee was good as well. Great service. Right price. Friendly staff. A san antonio landmark.

This was a one star the server are always together CANT help, and me and my friends felt uncomfortable we felt like they were judging us and were laughing and looking at us so unprofessional, the food was good but could been better and the ambiance was very dusty and bug around the tables weren't even clean.

The only redeeming thing about this place was the juicy lime and nice service. Tacos are just greasy and blah. Rice is bland and dry. Beans are odd tasting. Tortillas and taco shells are below mediocre. I actually feel bad about ripping this place so bad because I love the name and it had a drive thru. Yawl need to thinkatako before you sellatako.

I ordered bean and cheese tacos, fajita tacos, and rice from this restaurant. The steak tasted extremely old and there was a piece of melted plastic in one of my fajita tacos. In the bean and cheese taco there was a grainy hard object. I'll never know what I just consumed. Very disappointing given bean and cheese tacos seem pretty hard to mess up. It was as if all the ingredients fell on the floor and were swept up. The rice was so terrible it tasted like it had been cooked with mop water. I gave it to my dogs. I understand that during these times restaurants have been hit hard and may be struggling. Still there should never be an excuse for serving paying customers food of this quality. I feel like I've just been robbed! On the plus side at least all four of my dogs seemed to enjoy it.I hope the health inspectors pay a visit soon for the well being of all my neighbors.

Place has gone downhill. $10 for a huevos rancheros plate. A splatter of watery refried beans. Watery Ranchero sauce. Asked for bacon, got low-end sausage instead.

The employees here are very rude giving really bad eye looks and always huddled up behind the counter.The youth are treated very differently and I think that is very unfair as a regular customer i don't think this place does not deserve a five star review. The ambiance is very dirty we're we eat dust and dead flys every were.The blind kept falling as we were eating.

The whole plate was bland. The enchilada sauce was gross, taste like the cheap sauce. I tried adding green sauce to help, did not. Save your hard working money. Stick to tacos here.
