Tia’s Taco Hut

We walked in and were not greeted and had no idea how seating worked so we walked a little further in towards the booths near the doors and sat, then were brought menus. We enjoyed some bean and cheese nachos and egg based breakfast tacos for dinner. Nothing over the top but good sizing for the price.

Best salsa ever! I highly recommend the asada tacos or plate! Puffy tacos are good too!

The cheese enchilada plate was good!The frozen margarita was not as good as I was hoping it would be & they forgot to rim it with sugar like I asked. It also had a few chunks of ice in it so it was weirdly chunky. Overall I felt like it was a pretty average experience.

Food was really good and atmosphere was pleasant. The service was amazing. I got three tacos and they were all tasty, i will definitely be back.

Making a quick decision?: The food was good! They could handle certain situations better, but give it a shot!Have time to read?:The place looks beautiful on the inside! It was 1 waitress servicing the whole restaurant during lunch, but they definitely weren't busy. I ordered the carne guisada plate. It came with rice, beans, salad, & 2 tortillas. Rice & beans were like any other Mexican restaurant, and very delicious! The tortilla was very good too! The carne guisada had A LOT of fat. In fact, every good piece size piece of meat had a thick layer of fat.Now, don't come for me... I know meat has fat. But this was so much. We informed the waitress, just so they knew & didn't serve the next person the same. She asked if I wanted them to take it back, but I had already eaten a good chunk (I just kept assuming the next piece would be better.) I told her I would just eat my rice & beans. She leaves and comes back and asks for my plate and again, I'm hesitant but says the kitchen wants to give me a new plate anyway. So I give her my plate. She comes came a minute later, and tells me that the kitchen said there was nothing wrong with my plate.......I had already agreed to pay my plate, of course. This is where I get a little upset... I had already stated I would just eat my sides, and then they tell me I'm wrong & they're not going to do what the said they would after all??? I never asked for another plate.. they were the ones who insisted but then decided otherwise, so why keep touching my plate anymore than they need to??? (They keep telling me I still have to pay for my plate, which I already said I was going to do!!) So we ask for a manager.. and there is no manager in the restaurant at that time....but they don't tell us initially, they send another waitress from the back who presented themselves as the manager until we asked if she was. We ended up being contacted by the district manager who handled everything way more professional than the store. They offered to comp the other meal that was on the tab, but we weren't looking for free food! My friend ate, and enjoyed their food. Hopefully this never happens to anyone reading this review, and quite honestly, it was probably just a poor timing kind of thing, but this was my first impression of Tia's.

I love the lunch specials. They make food that my mother made for us like video loco and calabasita con puerco. Brought back good memories of my childhood.

Service was not great! Hostess lady was rude and had a couldn't care less than attitude . No bar seating she said was for employees only. Won't be back just because of service. Plenty of other places in area. My opinion give it 6 months . Can't put lipstick on a pig .. just saying

I'm not too sure what's going on at this place, but it definitely isn't ran like it's supposed to. People waiting in the front to be greeted and sat. My wife and I ordered tacos to go (5 tacos, 3 being bean and cheese) just to wait 35 minutes without being told anything, we got the tacos and you would assume that they were freshly made and tasted good, nope. You can tell they were sitting for a good while and were never handed to us. Wasted time and money.

Stopped by today for the first time. We used to come to this place often when it was Don Benitos because they had great lunch specials and great specials on their margaritas. I called about a week ago to see if they finally decided to have a decent price for their margaritas during happy hour and they do. We ordered their green enchilada lunch special today. They have two different choices every day of the week. It was 8.99 and include the iced tea. The food was good. Afterwards we ordered their frozen margarita. Happy hour price is 6.99 for a large one. Wow, they are STRONG! To tell you the truth, a little too strong for me, but a very good deal if you like strong margaritas. Stephanie waited on us and she was very friendly and efficient.

I wish I could give this place negative stars, disgusting. Ordered the fajita burrito, right off wouldn't feed this to my dogs. It smelled of dog food none the less i tried it. The fajita meat was hard/crunchy. My wife got tacos, you can get better at Taco Bell. I should have know when the place was empty when I walked in. Wasted 30 bucks.
