Thorn Hill BBQ & Catering

This was our first time trying their food, and they were parked at Five Stones Brewery. Hands down, this is the best BBQ I've ever had from a food truck in the San Antonio area!The absolute standout for me was the brisket quesadillas, wow! They were incredible, and I just couldn't get enough. Give me more, more, more! We loved every single thing on our platter, and everything was bursting with flavor.I wish I had taken more pictures, but my family devoured it all before I had the chance, haha! This is definitely a food truck I'd hunt down again. Highly recommend!

I have strongly disliked bbq for most of my life. It's served at weddings and catered for work and I have rarely come across high quality bbq (and while living in TX), which is probably why I have a disdain for it. This place is legit! I don't think I've had anything I didn't love from here! So delicious and the sauce is amazing- which is important.

You have to find this food truck and enjoy their sandwiches. We tracked them down to Windmill Farms Winery in Seguin and made a special trip to try them on a recent Sunday. It was a cold day so we sat inside at the winery. Brenda, one of the winery owners said you order at the truck and then would bring it inside once it's ready.I actually make my own pastrami so I have a high bar when a restaurant or food truck offers it. I actually asked if they make theirs from scratch and they told me they did. I ordered the Pastrami Reuben but got it on Texas toast instead of rye. It was so good. The pastrami was on point, smoky, moist, and tender. Well balanced with the kick of the sauerkraut. My wife chose the brisket grilled cheese. Another excellent prepared brisket with gooey cheese. Please follow this truck and try their sandwiches. So good.

Wow, what a fantastic experience with Thorn at Blue Lotus Winery. This was easily the BEST food truck BBQ I've ever had. I would still give it comparable 5* restaurant ratings too but hard to say. Service was great; very friendly. They even brought it out to the back area at the winery. They take various credit cards. They didn't do cola but maybe that's because the winery had it.I tried both the pulled pork and brisket sandwiches. They were AMAZING (yes, all caps, I know). The brisket was superb. The pulled pork was also very very good. Good flavors and tasty. For both, the flavors, sauce, meat...all made to perfection. It almost melted in my mouth with each bite. I'm getting excited and hungry again about these sandwiches. Obviously your choice depends on what you are in the mood for. However, I'd suggest the brisket.Loved their bbq sauce. So good.Definitely give them a try.

Oh, the smells...Nothing like a food truck fulla bbq. Try their Brisket Grilled Cheese Sandwich or the Smoked MacNCheese. Just, WOW! These are nice people making delicious food with love. They're a food truck, so check their website or Facebook page to see where they're located that day.

Had an opportunity to give Thorn Hill a try yesterday at McNamara Farmers Market yesterday and was very pleased. I ordered brisket & sausage to go. The briskets was flavorful and moist with a great peppery rub. The sausage was absolutely fantastic, flavor and texture. They have a bunch of interesting sandwiches Cubano, Brisket Grilled Cheese, etc. the sides look great too, especially the smoked mac & cheese.

You have to try the Cubano sandwich. The pulled pork makes it a stand-out with just the right amount of smoke, complimented with mustard and pickles. The crunchy bread is the perfect accompaniment. I highly recommend!

For food truck BBQ, there is nothing to complain about. Large portions for each item.
