The Smokin Wok

01/05/23Today they are at my sisters building, the Westin Centre. We have a lunch date. The Wok is still just as delicious as it was the first time when they were scheduled at my apartment complex about a year ago. To say we had the chicken fried rice and chicken lo mein. The grilled chicken used is like crack, so good! Their pricing runs between $12 - $14 and is worth every penny. Quick service overall as they came to my apartment complex and I chose the brisket fried rice to try for dinner. The portion was enough for two people but unfortunately there were only slivers of brisket and the dish was 85% rice, 10% veggies like bell pepper, onions and carrots and 5% brisket. The rice was bland and I would not order it again. Very disappointing overall as the brisket didn't have smoky or spice to it after digging to try to find the small pieces

The food truck stopped by our neighborhood this week. The staff was nice and fast.The fried rice was bland. The spicy orange chicken had a strong orange flavor but the sauce was runny. The breading on the chicken was very inconsistent. The chicken had a lot of fat. The egg roll was a good flavor but short on filling.The menu on the website is not the same as listed on the side of the truck which had a lot less options.

This food truck came to my work today, and I'm not sure if it was a miscommunication, but they opened about 30-40 minutes later than the time we were told they were scheduled, and weren't able to start taking orders so quite a line formed. My coworkers and I put in an order in advance though, and it was ready once we got up to the truck.Also, it was quite hot outside, and another food truck had a small shade and portable fan - just a thought for a potential improvement.Really, it's these small logistics that I feel prevent me from giving this a five star rating. The ordering process could have definitely been smoother, but once we got our food, it was well worth the wait. It was fresh, and they had taken the time to write each individual name on each container since we had a large team order.They were out of Bulgogi Fries which was a bummer, but I opted for the Bulgogi Steak Quesadilla instead. The portion size was large, it had a good amount of meat, and you could distinctly taste that it was supposed to be Bulgogi rather than just generic meat thrown on a quesadilla. Sometimes these fusion food trucks can be a little over the top but this one does a good job of combining flavors.Will try this again next time I encounter it and add more photos!

Listen! Do yourself a favor and try this food truck out, you will not be disappointed! This is the second time I've gotten the fried rice and to start the chicken taste like it just came off an open flame grill (yum), veggies and delicious and the overall flavor hits with every bite. Now for the thing that brought me back...I don't do leftovers BUT the fried rice reheats perfectly...and the chicken (somehow) taste even better the next day. Great food AND a friendly staff, count me in.

Just tried Smokin Wok. I had the spicy orange chicken and brisket fried rice. Chicken was juicy and spicy. Brisket was moist and tasty. So good. Can't wait to try the lo mein and bulgogi.

Food was excellent definitely recommend this place to friends and family and anyone who is looking for some good Asian food with a Texas twist

We gave this food truck a try tonight! It was really good! I live the Asian bbq infusion. The Texas spurs were great as well as the egg rolls! We also tried the bulgogi tacos and they did not disappoint! I would definitely visit again and recommend.

I schedule food trucks at our neighborhood. This is the second time that I have scheduled them here. The food is amazing!!! The portions are huge. I'll definitely have them back on the near future!! Thank you THe Smokin Wok for the great food and most of all the great service you all provide!!
