The Rose

Heard about this new spot so of course we had to check it out as we walked through downtown San Antonio. I am so glad we did. Warm and inviting with a "fire" going above the bar on the big screen, you want nothing more than to cozy up to the bar as soon as you walk in. Unique seating areas perfect for photo ops and a confidence boost! The craft cocktails are described by flavor profile in a leather bound menu. We had lots of questions since the details lacked a description of the specific alcohol used in the drinks, but this is done purposely. The bartender graciously answered all of our questions. At The Rose you can trust the mixologists to carefully craft and deliver the perfect cocktail designed to your liking. I had one cocktail off the menu, reminiscent of a hot toddy-but cold. It was soothing and a perfect balance of sweet and sour. I also ordered a Boulevardier, a drink off of the menu, and that was perfect as well. Great service, delicious cocktails, and an inviting atmosphere, The Rose is definitely a spot we will return to when we are in town again. Maybe next time we can grab a bite off of their menu and listen to some live music!

Nice bar in downtown San Antonio that serves above average cocktails with some small bites. The bar tender was attentive and helpful. We tried several whiskey drinks which were all good but not special.

Came here to say that the mixologists at this establishment are top tier! I asked if they had pistachio martinis because I saw an article about them and thought one would be pretty tasty, but they did not have them on the menu. However, the mixologist was able to create one and it was so amazing, I savored every single sip! Switched over to bubbles after but The Rose has earned their stars for sure. I wish I could review them higher :) Service was obviously great, and the atmosphere is upscale, calm, and the crowd definitely skews a bit older. All in all, fab date night :)

I went in expecting a bit of a dive bar and received a great surprise. Clean, great seats with a good mix of high and low tables, cozy but open with fantastic drinks and friendly servers. A neon sign with a cute story and again, the drinks! Hurry and come down before they kick off and you have to wait a long time to have one of their drinks with crowds of fans.

This place looked so nice and the reviews on yelp looked promising but our visit was anything but. They had olive music on a Thursday which was nice and it sounded good and the volume worked well in this place. However, we were there for 15 minutes before we were acknowledged by what looked the the manager changing lights on the table asking us if we'd been helped we said no amd he called out to someone to help us as soon as they could.Our server came over took our order which was 2 drinks and an appetize. Our drinks came, we were checked on to see if we needed refills quickly as if we weren't drinking enough or fast enough then we finally order a other drink still waiting for our app and I asked for a whiskey recommendation for an old fashion and the server says I don't know what you like, order we whatever. This is the type of place that looks like it has great drinks, but just went with my usual. After about 20 more minutes, we asked to close our tab but to please remove appetizer from bill, the server said he never even put it in. So if I had the appetizer I probably would have order another drink, then again I only ordered the 2nd drink because I was waiting for the appetizer. I should have gone with my gut when I first arrived at the first sign of this. All in all I had been expectations foe this place and was disappointed amd will not return.

So we were walking by and stopped by to check out "The rose"It's brand new and been open only for a week now. All the staff from management Josh to servers Harold were really nice and provided great customer service. There is live music and pretty cool atmosphere I got the following drinkHawaiian Rose

Seriously: the best pizza I have ever had! The live band was fantastic. San Antonio is fun.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and layout of the place. My dad ordered a flaming Old Fashioned, and the presentation was quite unique. They served his drink in a barrel, which was really interesting.Another guest received their Old Fashioned in a box that looked like a Christmas present, adding to the fun experience.All the bartenders provided excellent service, making our visit even more enjoyable

Amazing. the ambience and the service is off the charts. such a cozy cocktail bar. they have a mix of tables and lounge areas. with beautiful furniture, vintage couches and very cool refurbished tables in those lounge areas. the drinks are absolutely amazing and the bartender is very talented. not only did our server chat with us, but the manager as well. extremely friendly staff !
