The Purple Garlic Italian Cafe

The food was great! I have been not feeling well and didn't want to cook/go out on Valentine's Day.My husband ordered and pick this up for to-go so we could still do a little date night at home. The food came hot and super flavorful! I can't smell currently but you better bet I could taste all the yumminess/kick that sausage had. I had the creamy pesto and my husband had the Alfredo ( no picture because he literally scarfed it down. lol) Everything was packaged well and kept it hot on the way home. My husband said everyone was very kind and even though they were super busy with it being v-day, they also let him know the wait time upfront and they actually had it ready under the time they predicted. I appreciate the honesty and they made my very meh valentines, memorable. Glad we found a place close to our home that we know we can depend on!

Amazing service even though the place was crowded. We liked the personal attention and concern for detail shown by the wait staff. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were just right. The mozzarella sticks were perfectly cooked and slightly breaded so that we could enjoy the exquisite quality of the cheese. The Panini sandwich was super. Plenty of ingredients perfectly cooked on amazing bread. We added a little salt and pepper to taste, and suspect the lack of strong seasoning maybe an attempt to help those with health concerns. The house salad was also very nice with just a touch of dressing to add to the flavor. There were so many ingredients in the house salad that we were impressed. The menu had a variety of Italian items available and we hope to return to try even more dishes.There's a simple country like Italian ambiance in the restaurant and it's kind of upper middle in terms of casualness. Traffic on nearby Blanco road can be an issue as well as the limited parking but at least the parking is free.

We had been to their Austin highway location. This was our first time here. We came to this one because the one off San Pedro had an hour Waite.While the blanco location was seating right away.We always get the spinach dip for the table. I really enjoyed the Greek salad and wish we got the larger one. Also, Bread comes out with your entree. I got the spaghetti and meatballs. The meat ball was great but I felt the pasta was a little over cooked and the sauce was slightly bitter. My favorite dish I got to try at the table was the creamy pesto pasta.

Way bigger than the other location so quick seating! Good food! Left happy and full. Very great and friendly staff.

We had a great family dinner with our toddler. Delicious food at a good price. Staff is very nice. Cute little place!

We heard that this new second location of The Purple Garlic had opened so we wanted to try it straight away.The menu is the same as the menu at the Hollywood Park location and the food is just as good. The hosts had the door open before we reached it and we were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm . The waitstaff were attentive and friendly and we were very pleased with our experience.They don't have their liquor license quite yet but are making up for that with complimentary glasses of wine or beer (one per customer). The glasses of wine were generous pours We enjoyed the chicken parmigiana, the eggplant parmigiana, and the chicken piccata.Just as at the other location this restaurant takes no reservations so you just walk in. Enjoy

Food was great! But when you want to check out, you cannot get separate tickets, because it's better for the restaurant!!!We were a group of 9 and we could not get separate tickets!!!

The food here is phenomenal! Nice ambiance. Friendly waitstaff. You really can't go wrong here. Chicken picatta, lasagna & the chicken marsala are some of our favorites. They can get busy on Friday night, but it's worth the wait. Yum!

The food was terrific, and the chicken piccata was the best piccata I'd had in about 15 years. I almost quit ordering them at restaurants because I was tired of getting disappointed. My wife and I will be back to see what else the menu has to offer. Welcome to Purple Garlic, more like Welcome to Flavor Town.

The food is good, but it's not consistent. My main complaint is how long it takes for the food to come out. 50 min after ordering is crazy. This is the 2nd time this happens.
