The Jewel at 1102

The Jewel cafe and bar is just as it's name states, " A Jewel in San Antonio". My husband, 23 year old daughter and I visited this establishment Saturday morning. The new owners are more than friendly and welcoming. They educated my family on the history of the business and when it was a home. They elaborated on their menu and services. The property and fractions of it can be reserved for private parties and events. I ordered the cappuccino with almond milk and hazelnut syrup. Amazing! I can change this up several ways, which is my intention in the future. My husband ordered a peach mango tea. Hot. He loved it, also. My daughter ordered a Latte with almond milk and hazelnut syrup. She agrees this is the best coffee drink she has had and the luxurious but comfortable and casual home atmosphere made it 100% better. My husband also ordered a cinnamon roll. One of the many pastry options available. There are many areas to sit inside or outside, to enjoy the treats. Something good to know, behind the establishment is their private parking lot. This makes it easy to park safely and not worry about crowded curb parking. I highly recommend the Jewel to all folks looking for a coffee, breakfast house to enjoy quality time with family and friends. I do know they are open in the evenings also, offering a full bar alongside coffee, to those who love to unwind with a cocktail. The owners told me of so many plans to serve their community, in this coming year, that I cannot remember it all. I, for sure, will be coming back with new folks to give everyone I know an experience worth having.

It's changed management recently, but the vibe, atmosphere, and service are the same. A great place to hangout and ponder the vast indifference of Heaven. Ha! Oh, and for some reason google and google maps says they're closed, they're not.

27 Apr 2023A very pretty place. Artwork throughout the place, a repurposed house. A piano just inside the front door, as is the bar. Outside and inside seating. The inside consists of some tables and vintage-type high-backed chairs. All that missing are a few ottomans. Ha, ha. We came during happy hour. Select cocktails $8, domestic beer $4. Not too bad. The bartender is friendly and efficient. It was the music that drew us in. Definitely a 70s playlist. Terrific. A piano player just rolled in. Guess we'll have to stay for few more drinks. Go there.

Went to Jewel at 1102 for the first time and the drinks were 10/10. They were tasty and strong and well priced. I had the Summer something and it was just the right amount of spicy and sweet. The ambiance was great, it was like an old house with cozy vibes and it had an outdoor area that was nice as well. Very homey feel. The service was also good.

Visited the Jewel again because we just adore the ambience and the bar tender makes the best drinks in SA if I do say so myself! They had someone playing the piano, which topped off our experience. This is our go-to place if we're looking for the perfect, well-made drink!

The espressotini and the pumpkin spiked are so good. stumbled upon this place while walking around and so grateful we did! 10/10 would recommend.

This was a fun place to stop in for a drink, we came upon The Jewel at 1102 during First Friday. The name is fitting as it is a beautifully restored historic building that serves a a gallery full of wonderful art and a bar all in one. There is seating in various rooms and the walls are all tastefully covered with fabulous artwork to create a wonderfully beautiful meeting spot. They also have a limited brunch menu that I intend to try sometime!

Craft cocktails include fresh blueberry martinis, hurricanes to Carajillo coffee drinks. Unique, relaxing with live entertainment.

This unique bar has an amazing staff and drinks. We highly recommend this location if you want to enjoy a drink and not be bothered by a loud unruly crowd.
