The Hotdogologist

Food: ordered the original poondawg, jalapeno bomber, not so chi dog, and the pizza dawg. My favorite was the pizza dawg, and my husband loved the original poondawg and the not so chi dawg. I felt the jalapeno bomber would have more of a cream cheese taste being there was supposed to be a house cream cheese blend but it was heavy on the jalapeño mustard and no hint of cream cheese. Wasn't what I was expecting, but still ate it all lol! Luckily we didn't get the soggy buns. Thank goodness! Service was great. Friendly staff member behind the ordering counter. Ambiance: definitely a hole in the wall kind of vibe. Nothing fancy, personable, and unique. Small but still a cool spot. No indoor seating. Some tables on the outsides. They offer military, first responder, and teacher discounts. I Love supporting small businesses here in San Antonio so this was a cool little spot to try!

Been wanting to try this place. Online it says open but every time I go by it's closed. They need to update that online

I love hot dogs and this is the place to get them in town. They are prepared to order and a Chicago dog can had here which is delicious. One must go here if one likes hot dogs, customize.

Ugh I wanted to like this place sooo bad! I was craving a hotdog and found this place. Saw the reviews and decided to give it a try. I got a hotdog and and order of the frito pie just to try. The frito pie wasn't bad, decent at most. But what threw me off was that the guy who made my order microwaved the hotdog! It gave the dog this weird consistency that I didn't like.I unfortunately only ate one bite of the hotdog and maybe half the frito pie and tossed the rest. I probably won't be back, even though I'm usually very optimistic and give places second chances as I know we all have off days.

A bite of NY in San Antonio. New York hotdogs are the best and they added twist. They created some great dogs. The atmosphere is small but cool. The guy provided great service

I didn't expect much when I came here. I was in the area so I checked out Yelp, and this place looked promising due to its high rating. I ordered the Mita Mita combo, which comes with two hotdogs, chips and drink. For the hotdogs, I had the Brooklyn and the Texas Classic. The biggest gripe I had was the bun was soggy on my Texas Classic. They didn't use a special bun or sausage, so it was kind of a disappointment. The food was ok, but nothing I would go out of my way to get. Their is outdoor seating if you want to eat at the place. Maybe it was just the server I got, but maybe it's popular for people in the neighborhood, just didn't impress me.

This place was super cute when you first enter. Me and my boyfriend were greeted with great service and even some background knowledge on how this place ended up in san antonio. Hot dogs were also pretty good would rate 8/10 ! Will definitely return again

Second or third time we've stopped by, and they're not open. So their hours online don't match up with the actual work schedule. Heading to Sonic for a foot long....

Mr. Puno put his personal Al touch to every hot dog he makes and has a good variety. You cannot go wrong with a visit to one of his remote food truck locations.

Hours are not updated. Sign is posted on door saying "Open as catering schedule permits. Don't waste your trip call before ordering."How about posting that online? It's a semi permanent sign so I assume it's been up for awhile. Disappointing.
